Got one last month for $399. The S23 was selling for $800 and the A54 was $324 so kind of a no brainer. The S23 is a slightly better phone but not worth twice as much and the $75 extra over the A54 was well worth it. 90% of the flagship performance at half the price.

I don't get Samsung removing the SD slot at all. The bloatware is a pain. The customer should be allowed to customize their phone from the beginning. I miss the sliding keyboard that Motorola used to make on the Droid 4.

S23FE is... disappointing Im a S21FE owner and i actually made a list to compare both, so get ready to read all that if you want Display: adaptive refresh rate on S23FE - 60 or 120hz. What did i do to achieve that on my S21FE? I simply used Galaxy Max HZ. and i have the same feature screen sizing - S23FE has a massive black bezels and gorilla glass 5. How about S21FE? Really thin bezels, no silver ring AND gorilla VICTUS. brightness - sure, S23FE will have slightly brighter display, but thats not so noticeable (1450 nits vs 1200) Look and feel: S23FE does feel premium with its glass back - but honestly, most will put a case on it. And S23FE has the looks of A series (by position of flash) while S21FE looks like S21 lineup but with plastic back. Cameras: Alright, S23FE has better sensors, im not gonna argue here Other: Performance of S23FE is obviously better, since it uses Exynos 2200, while S21FE has Snapdragon 888. S23FE has newer bluetooth model (5.3 vs 5.0) and other stuff that i could mention, but would make this comment longer Software: Well, since both are FE series - that means that they wont get that often those major updates (i got one ui 6 on 8th of December). Both run full one ui, and most good lock features are available. Both dont get beta updates, which is sad. Obviously, S21FE will get 2 (or 1, according to knox) more major updates while S23FE will get 4 of them. Conclusion? If you own a pretty recent flagship, or FE series (like S20FE or S21FE), then dont bother going for this year S23FE - im not hating the phone, but i honestly think that its simply not worth it. If youre planning on getting new phone, and you have old one then you can consider S23FE, but you wouldve been better off with older flagship or mentioned S21FE - which has good deals now.
The problem with buying an older phone is it won’t be getting any more software updates. For instance the S20 FE is stuck at Android 13, it will not be getting Android 14 or any further firmware updates. It just received a security update but it’s kind of at its end of life for security support as well. The S23 FE is two months old and will be supported by Samsung for the next 4 to 5 years.
I don't know why peoples saying it's garbage i just got mint colour this week and it super amazing the camera is flagship quality. Yeah i know it 4500mh but it barely noticed (sorry for bad grammar)
While I'm always interested in overviews of new phones, the main reason I never buy Samsung's mid-range devices is that they make them so damn big. I usually end up with the base model S series phone because it's the only one that is somewhat compact. All the other ones are 6.4" and up.
Everyone talks about how thick it is but it’s .32” versus the .3 of the S23…may the flatter sides gives it more of a sense of thickness? But 2 one hundredths of an inch is pretty insignificant.

This is actually more like an S22 FE, because it has the S22 chip: the snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It looks like an S23, but acts like an S22. What I think Samsung is doing is that they don't expect you to gravitate towards this phone right at launch, but rather consider it more and more for next year if you're not interested in the new flagships and you want more than a mid-range phone from them. For example, I had the S21 FE just a few months after launch and it didn't feel quite reasonable at the time, but this year, the phone had a very good discount and was very competitive in the line-up and I know a lot of people who bought it. I think that's their objective 😅
im so annoyed i just found this phone recently and bought it on "sale" for $600 (down from $659.99) last week (I had to get the 256GB version because of no SD slot.......). And now I'm hearing about the S24 leaks and announcements. Samsung is killing me 😭
I just brought this device 3 days ago. this is my first mid- upper range phone. (my previous device was a moto g stylus 2021). I had the S23fe and hated it. Horrible ergonomics. Heavy and crappy fingerprint scanner that was horribly placed. I kept hitting the back button. Nav bar is easily hit. I went to Nav flat bars instead of icons but would then click things on the display. I went to Nav gestures but would also click display things like links. I trade-in for S24+ which is same size but larger display and light with a good fingerprint scanner. S23fe performance was great, snappy, quick shutter speeds, good camera. Performance is great but so uncomfortable to use. Samsung screwed a good thing by wanting to downplay the S23fe compared to the S flagship. I went from the large screen and light weight S20fe to the small display brick like S23fe. It couldn't grow on me in 5 months of ownership no matter how much I wanted it to. 25 years of owning cell phones and the S23fe was my worst experience. Had I gone from an S9 to S23fe I may have enjoyed it but for the small performance gain I got over the S20fe the overall user experience was bad.
More of the same crappy phones from Samsung. I see no reason why this was released lol I don't follow up on any of their new flagship phones anymore since they're all the same shit with the same specs and lacking the most important feature I want which is a SD card slot. I'll wait for next year's mid range phones even though thier new ones suck as well. I thought of the A54 but don't want Exynos and a smaller screen. I was thinking the A34 since it has a bigger screen, better chipset and I can get the 256gb version for a cheaper price with my added SD card in it. I'll wait first in a month or two to see what new mid range phones they have to offer before I decide.

Had I gone from an S9 to S23fe I may have enjoyed it but for the small performance gain I got over the S20fe the overall user experience was bad.
Hello my Favorite Tech Man. please am waiting for my Christmas gift 🎁🎁.
Deserves to be DOA for those 2019 budget phone bezels alone.
I dont like it. Very wide frames and I have never liked the Exynos processor. Terrible device!
More like the s23 fu edition
Ngl i am not into FE phones
I'd rather stick with my S21+ till next year
More of the same crappy phones from Samsung.
Exynos 1380 is very good
@@vascomorais639 I've heard but still rather Mediatek or Snapdragon
This just the a54 5g with a better screen and camera
With dex and wireless charging that is lacking on the a series.
This isn't a Fan Edition, it's a Fanboy Edition. Overpriced garbage phone.
Nope it's fan edition
😂 damn Samsung’s getting straight up violated
I use Galaxy S23 (and also Galaxy employee) but I really think that S23 FE is not a good deal for me.
Its neither overpriced or garbage , get your facts straight
@@kenanshora 2 years old overheating flagship SoC for the price of a new flagship SoC is anything, but great value lol it's a joke phone. Anyways enjoy the 25W ultra slow charging. In my country it's the same price as a brand new S22 Ultra XD
The purple is so ugly
🤢🤢.... so thick, big bezels and flat screen soooooo disgusting , s20 FE better
S20 FE better at what?
@@vascomorais639 design
*Nah a fan."*
It's dual sim card or not?
One eSim and one physical Sim.
@@viffer94 Thanks.
Still using my s20 fe 🫡🫡🫡
