My buddy Trent and I headed out to find the Cliff House in Redfield Canyon.
Until a few days prior I had never head about the place other than a friend of mine mentioning year ago that there was a house in the cliffs in Redington. Turns out his neighbor actually lived in the house for a brief time. Small world.

The drive off of Cascabel road is about 8 miles to the parking area and high clearance is needed. From the parking area there is a 1.7 mile hike down into the canyon and to the house. It took us about an hour to get down and a little over an hour to get back up so plan accordingly. There is about 500 to 700 feet of elevation gain coming back up so be prepared for that.

Thanks for the video Rick ❤❤. Great scenery. Take care of yourself and family and friends and be Blessed ❤️.
Thanks, you too! Hope you have a Merry Christmas and great New Year.
Planning to do this trip over the holidays and your video and Gaia route are by far the best and most informative of anything I found! So well done, thank you!
That is great to hear thank you so much. I hope you enjoy the trip out there. It is a beautiful area.
Nice travelogue. Pretty amazing, that house in the middle of nowhere. Thanks. (And the road not much worse than driving around on Tucson streets. 😂)
Ha ha. That is quite true. :). It is such a beautiful place and the house is super cool.
Nice to see what an Ascent can do. We have a Chevy Tahoe I know could do that. We have done it. My Subaru.. well.. someday maybe.
The Ascent has done well on the two trips I have taken with my buddy. I don't think it would have made either with out the lift and skid plates though.
Thanks for the great video. We tried to get there the other day--no luck. You mentioned that you had the coordiantes? Also, any tips on where to go after the stream. We took 4 wheelers, then hiked. But got stuck once we hit the stream/thank.s
I suppose there is a good amount of water in there right now. All of the coordinates are in the video description and if you have Gaia GPS there is a link for that route as well. If you parked in the parking lot and follow the trail down to the stream head left and follow it essentially West for a little over a mile. It is about a 2 mile hike from the top to the house. It will be on your Right. My email is azdroptopyt@cox.net if you have any other questions.
A few years ago the entrance gates were locked on both access roads, with 5-6 padlocks, and a sign saying call this number to get access. Of course, there was no cell service in the area. I assume you encountered no locked gates?
Hi, no locked gates on our trip. We just had 2 of them to pass through. Did you take the same route in as we did?
I emailed you....
