Instead of lugging a plate, a pepper shaker, a salt shaker, and a 1 pound bag of flour- why not mix all those ingredients ahead of time and place it into a large ziplock bag. Then when you are ready to coat the Ormers (or whatever you wanna batter) you can just chuck them in the ziplock bag and shake them around a bit. Might free up some space in that backpack 👌
I love how you help your next man forager out and fill his bag, too! Share the wealth God gave us! Thank you for not being, as you all say “wankers”, think you all are wonderful, and I wished we lived closer to the ocean to do some foraging also! Can’t wait to see how it all cooks up! I think, the ormers? We call abalone here is the US. Closely regulated on the west coast as it’s expensive and there is a limit to how many you can take. I hope you all really enjoyed the feast of the ocean!💥⭐️💫
Kim Lorton lovely comment thank you , yes the (ormers ) are an abalone but different species to you I think, we have very strikes rules on them also an can only gather them on a few days of the year , thanks for watching 👌
From New Zealand guys, I dive for sea urchins, or uni, to others, in New Zealand we call it, kina. Abalone, called paua, in New Zealand, grays, and whatever and so on. point is I'm use to getting in the sea, for food. You guys amaze me, and not even getting wet, to get food, and loved the cook ups, totally blow away guys, awesome.
That "top knot" - we call flounder in the state's - that size isn't legal here. My smallest one I've caught was 5 lbs. - clean it, make a foil pouch for it, add a bit of olive oil, butter, lemon pepper seasoning, thinly sliced lemons then wrap it up in the foil and throw on the grill - comes out so delicious....
Me and my wife love you and we are going to take you up on your offer for you to take us with you on a beach forging hunt lol Thank you very much, Cory and Ginger whoo
I MUST MISSED this one dang now this is one your many great forages so much diff seafood 😋😋😋😋😋 i didnt know u dry the omars with sand 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 think meant flour funny as 😉👍❤
Love your videos! I love how excited you are about foraging! I love catch and cook videos! Thanks for showing us how to catch, what to look for and how to eat them!
instead of just randomly throwing them.. put it back where you found it... for example 7:17 you just tossed it, when the rock it was sitting on was right in front of you.
you have to throw them few feet otherwise they crawl back under the rock you have picked up looking for cover then when you put the rock back where it was you crush them he knows what he is doing he kills less crabs like this try it put the crab next to the rock and put it back you will know then i collect crabs for bait and i learnt this a long time ago throwing them into water dont hurt them if he trhew it onto a rock fair enough but he done the rite thing
You should look again at the Dulce, 240grams of Dulce costs currently £16 including postage. I know because I buy it. And the state that it arrives it has been dried and cleaned of crustaceans sea lice and shells. We eat it as a snack much like you would eat a packet of crisps.
Love the way you guys take care of the fishes. I can Smell the cooking already and enjoyed the fishes and you were not at all greedy. More of it please.
Thank you, never heard of Guernsey, had to look it up. Seems like an interesting place with lots of history. Thanks for the videos, can't believe I watched this whole thing.
You defiantly earned that meal! Your face was a picture when you tried the topknot! Well done foraging and good on ya for helping an old man out, good video guys!
A great video guy's, I might take you up on that offer about if I can get over to Guernsey, Hell Yeah! I'd love to get out there with you, keep up the amazing work, take care & ATB 🙂🥃👍
@Jay here’s you a tip for battering fish or anything you want to fry or bread. Use a ziploc or zip top bag to put your flour and seasoning in and bread& batter your catch that way. It also cuts down on the weight you have to carry up & down the beach. You can pre mix the batter & have it in the zip top bag.
@@navindraali2316 thats true but when hes grabbing it by the legs to try and throw it back when its gripping the cage, it clearly contributed to the legs ripping off
Stumbled across your content watching coastal forgaing videos, love your energy you are so hilarious, also love the catch n cooks!!! Keep it up! Cant wait for more!
Love your videos and energy. Inspiring. Hope to make it there 2020 bikepacking. Going to forage as much as I can. "Smash fishing is awesome" .Cheers from florida. 😎🎣👍
It's so unfortunate that I live in rural Canada. I looove seafood and would have an absolute blast doing this. I've never tried at least 80% of this but I know I'd love it lol
lol I do apologize for exaggerating I don't know you but it just bothered me the way you did that and I'm sure others will feel the same way, I appreciate what you doing just not a good look
Love seeing all the different species you get foraging in the ebb compared to what we get up here in the Shetland Isles and also your names like lady crabs which are called velvets up here or I personally call them little nippy bastards of hell!!
Someone said it a bit ruder but, ya, personally don't really care for the slow mo. Well, when you're doing something repetitive like tenderizing the Ormers that's fine with the slow mo.
Well done another cracking vid my wife watched it with me and even she said it looked tasty apart from all the sand keep it up as they are top notch 10/10
That fish you caught , we in the United States of America call it a flounder or a fluke . They are a lot bigger than what you guys caught . Great video guys !!
Love the video! Next time you get abalone when you cook it you should try to make a grid like pattern ( # ) on the foot it helps with the texture. Also what kind of knife it that?
Brilliant video as always ! I'm currently binge watching your videos after refinding your channel. Could I ask where you and your mate found the heavy duty shrimp nets? Can't find anything anywhere as strong as yours. Cheers
These foraging videos make me so hungry. Keep up the great work!
Fishing_bug haha thanks for watching dude ! Lots to come yet 🎣🎣🎣

Black Ronin it’s fine they can regrow anyway
euqirnE niuqaoJ wtf, they do not regrow. It’s not a lizard! 🦎 vs 🦀 major difference
@@alyssatorres5897 wtf lizards dont regrow legs and alot of them dont regrow tails either but crabs do regrow legs with about 4 molts

JMC JMC you can have a drinking game
No count how many times he said “good old”
And that’s good aye
I love it. Great energy. Wish there were more people like him in the world and his videos make me salivate lol.
He’s still a good youtuber
i love this guy! always happy, always friendly, eco - conscious and shares his catch with random people down on their fishing foraging luck!
Congratulations on being in love you two

I do that for camping. It's a good idea.
love the vid and very impressed by how this guy manages to talk in all capital letters
I never ceases to amaze me how much high end seafood is available in your area. To be able to walk the tides and forage like that is a blessing.
You two are so fun to watch. I've watched so many of your videos, but you and Sam together are the best.
Me: wants to do this so bad

"We dont keep pregnant stuff" - a qoute that can be used in all facets of life
The hardest part of watching your video is seeing you guys eating what looks like the most delicious meal.
Be more gentle with the ones that aren’t keepers.

Great video guys but please have a little bit more respect for the creatures when releasing
They get slammed into the rocks during with the tide. I don't think tossing them into the water is going to hurt them.
@@PooleyX they broke a leg of a crab and no they dont get slamed..
Silva crabs legs fall off when they feel threatened. He wasnt doing it intentionally
When (if) I become a parental guardian I plan to do this with my kids regularly so I can teach them to respect the environment.
Maintaining our culture and what Guernsey was like. Respect. Keep it up
Ninjavaz thanks dude 👍
Great video and i enjoy watching i love to catch all those sea shell..keep it up and make me feel hungry...
A bit of choped parsley and a wedge of lemon at the end top that feast off
Great video, just a bit of advice, try using olive oil, and a glass of white wine with those shells, definitely beats the butter
when cooking with butter add a small amount of lard or beef fat or duck fat etc it will raise the burning temperature of the oil and butter mix
Howdy from South Texas. Great video. You guys are the real deal. Thanks for sharing your fun with all of us.
Great video!! Everyone loves a good forage!! But pretty reckless when releasing the creatures, show a bit more care
The Hooky 2 yes we where rushing in this one an didn’t realise how rough I was being but Iv slowed down a bit since haha thanks for watching !
