Your accents are the cutest thing ever. I love hearing you two discuss seafood😂 I’ve got a pantry full off food and find myself saying “there’s nothing to eat here”. Then you two show me up by going into the ocean and cooking the most delicious food out of hardly anything.
Big wave! Whoa!!!!!!! 🌊 I'm still laughing here! I'm amazed at how well you get around on those rocks! I'd be falling head over heels banging myself up. So glad to see Sam joined in on the fun!! Hell yeah!! And what a lovely background to cook and eat with. I could watch that ocean all day long!!!! Thanks for sharing guys! ❤
Mother of pearl is beautiful 🌊💖 can make some beautiful things as well as good eating. Such a strong versatile animal! Shell is cool for general survival tools. Oyster sells also have a lovely interior
i heard one bloke was caught with a load of undersized. Allegedly had 31 and only a handful were size. Should get hammered with one hell of a fine in my opinion..
Foraging Ormers in Guernsey is like a rite of passage, it's good that they have strict regulations in place for future generations to enjoy. A bad days fishing/foraging is still better than a good day at the office. Nothing like being in the woods or at the coast, breathing in fresh air, salted breeze, now that's good living.
Don't know if I'm the only one watching this at 4.40am but what a way to set me up for the day 😀cheers lads 👍 I'll not mention the parts other subs seem to be commenting on 🤔 🤣 . A great video once again guy's (loved it) take care & ATB Andy
Great video, Nice that you care about the environment and turn the rocks back over. Used to live in Looe, Cornwall but lack of work forced me to move towards London (Yuk) . Only ever sea fished once but now retired and hopefully linking up with the Eastbourne Angler for a weeks fishing late March. Love the different species you find keep the videos coming!
Congratulations on your catch, Mate. Haha thanks for saying what we all were thinking (whoohoo). May I have a shell? I’m little far from y’all. Thank you for the videos. They are a favorite part of my week. Praying for your Pops.
Awesome "DIY" Abalone tutorial my friend quite simple recipe to make looks Magically Delicious...ther3s some Awesome Palaces for foraging in my home place in some place Called Laguna Beach CA.. Keep Grinding & CREATING Bro 🤤👍💯
Well done boys! Thanks for spreading the word about flipping the rocks over and over. Marine conservation can go from protecting giant reefs, managing fisheries or just flipping over rocks. Every bit helps especially when the marine environment is more pressured then ever by climate change and acidification. Enjoy the harvest!
I reckon smoked paprika would make the abalone taste wicked! I use it alot in my cooking and it's easily one of my favourite spices. Mixing it in with the flour til the flour is pink/red so the flavour takes, with salt and pepper 👍 if you try it I hope you like it bud 😁
Abalone shells are used in making handles for knives mainly pocket knives and many other things like faces on watches and the list goes on. It is a beautiful colored shell that makes a very gorgeous item on whatever it is placed.
Thanks for the video. Can’t believe so many rocks were not replaced I think that if the foragers don’t respect the wildlife then they should not be allowed to forage 😎
I have the Mendicino Abalone shells all around my house in my garden. I have made bowls of them as well. I love them. I would so love to have yours. One or two. Or just one.!!!
John Water the first one was the worst tides but the last 2 trips we did well👌 another forage vid to come yet with Sam , inglorious an the ormer seal haha

Ive never had the chance to taste an Abalone (Orma)... I have some of the shells which are sometimes known as Donkey Ears when they have the beautiful pearl colours on the inside and all polished up. But.... If you're gonna do a catch and cook you need to really I volve us and transport us there and tell us what they taste like?!!!! Could you give us your best description and similarity to other things, and the texture etc. Also more importantly... Much love to your Pop! Sending my best thoughts and wishes that he feels better very soon
Paul Cook was raised by a fishermen mate though a nails the old man haha I’m not scared of a few cuts an bruises lol you missed out Paul the ormer season is awesome fun an they taste amazing
Here's a funny one for you. The kids in the church said that they wanted to come to the Channel Islands to meet you and go foraging with you and Sam during the Easter Holidays. I rather reserve that for the summer vacation. Because some of them don't have their Passports. I guess they want to get away from all of the earthquakes we've been having here in Puerto Rico.
Hey mate, I’d like to tell you thank you for the awesome fishing package you sent @earlsfishingadventures. It’s great to see you guys supporting each other.
In New Zealand we call those Paua and you normally have to dive for them. They are a delicacy and there are strict rules for size and how many to take per person. I love them!

i heard one bloke was caught with a load of undersized. Allegedly had 31 and only a handful were size. Should get hammered with one hell of a fine in my opinion..
@@christ5935 I had heard something similar from another gatherer, If they had a load then an example should be set to put others off doing the same.
@@Trojwaterman yep agree and yet nothing mentioned in the papers etc so makes you wonder..
I like that you take the time to point out what things are! I learned a lot.

You can get the slime off by pouring boiling water on them. The slime will harden and you can take it off easily.
