GASP! A time traveller? Wait... no, nevermind. I guess we're all technically time travelers because you're from 2023 and so am I. And... it's not 2023 anymore. Silly me.
Current loc: a group home for the disabled, nuerodivergent, etc. Thank you for this song. I have a traveler's heart, but have found many of my new "family" among this strange *tribe* of misfits (and some hooligans). Our "crime" is being "different", feeling fully, dance and song, defenders of outsiders, fierce about injustices. My family history has been tragically erased by those seeking control of time and written history; your music often rides in my "medecine bag"; your violin and voice haunts and soothes most of my new compadres. Life here would be vastly harder without healing and hard truths you bring to life here. Fellow travelers: you're never alone. Stay on the path. ❤😊❤ Cheers, from a human being with a random brogue, whose family also looks "suspiciously Italian". We rode in trough Chicago and Texas (before it was the USA). Be true to your hearts, travelers. A tribe of one is a tribe of none. */saunters by, waving*
it starts around 610. he has been doing that for years. you can find traces of songs in many tunes. he gets an idea and seems obsessed with it and trys different things. like the fatal shore line from oh sister
wow I really loved that combination of singing with playing the violin at the same time, this is what I was looking for so that it is my admiration and I already found it, I admire you a lot, keep it up! ... God bless your talent
@bonbonbonification It's a series called "From the Basement" produced by Nigel Godrich (famous mostly for producing many Radiohead and Beck albums). The website is fromthebasement.tv and I believe you can buy DVDs of all the full performances. The series is famous for making the best recordings ever.
Ah, I see. Cool. I don't think I have it on my edition of Noble Beast, but maybe it's one of the songs in my free iTunes download I have yet to use. I'll have to see.
Just gotta drop in and show some love in 2023. ♥️

Man, this is the exact video that got me hooked on Andrew Bird. This man is a genius; one I will be forcing my children to listen to.
how goes the child indoctrination?
The riff he starts at 1:28 breaks me. He makes that violin weep.
This is the song... This is the video that made me pick up the violin and start playing. Maybe one day I'll achieve this level of brilliance.
Hows it going?
Adam Nowak have you done it?
His talent and passion never ceases to leave me in awe. I watch him play for hours and never tire of it.
So relaxing, I could seriously listen to this forever.
I came across this by accident and I'm just blown away. I've never heard anything like that on a violin before. Just awesome. Thank you for posting.
Straight in the heart!! 💜
Only 7,637 views? This thing deserves OVER 9000!!!!!!!!

I love it when he's starts to dance sort of at 2:14, just flowing around with his music
I will never forgive myself for missing Andrew Bird and Patrick Watson perform together..:/
If anyone could find a video of Plasticities from In the Basement I would appreciate it. I saw it a couple years ago and would love to see it again.
I wish this was the version that was being sold on itunes
Heard it on The Story on NPR last night, and I'm glad I found who it was (:
02:23 I'm broken by a love, my only love.
I actually love his head-bopping at the beginning

FUCKING FINALLY
Imagine -John lennon🎉
I'm sad that they took this video down from the site. Two years later and it still gives me chills.
Call me ignorant, but is this a new song? It's the first time I've heard it. Very beautiful (and catchy)!
I’m coming here 13 years later to say, you are ignorant! I don’t actually think that, but you told me to call you that!
@LoganGrace it was removed awhile back :( along with tenuousness in the basement
this is the same intro aesthetic as take courage, maybe its like I and imitosis, same song differnt format
All I really wanna know right now is how come you can't tell the violin leaked into his vocals mic when he's playing and singing at the same time...
you have lied to us, My Love?
..........
@zayaspablo1 No shut up with the Justin Beiber jokes already.
