Was lucky enough to attend a party at the Sinatra house, and boy I tell you what an experience being a huge fan of his and then being in his house wow mind blow so beautiful a memory I will cherish forever.
Oh no I wish it was for a work function for my wife’s job, they rented the house for a night with Frank, Sammy and Dean impersonators, we got to tour the house and just be in that time for the night it was super fun and an experience I will never forget.
I think that's a cool idea. My friend is Italian American & her fam has religiously plays Sinatra while cooking & eating dinner. It really is a vibe. I would love to dedicate a weekend doing that.
OK maybe 85 in the winter. 125 in the summer. Obviously this place could not exist without a/c. Where do they get their water? All around it is bone dust dry for many hundreds of miles in all directions! I am sure this town must have been built when a/c was invented, thats why nothing is older than mid 50's right, and it is all new style, like today's suburbs. I cant imagine this town existing before a/c.. seriously 110-125 all summer, 5 or 6 months of it!
Dodgy... had a home there since 98... not there May through October.... and I doubt Frank was there during the summer either it's the same as Scottsdale
I live in holland europe, and i wish that i was born in LA, because the weather sucks were i live. Here in holland, we are lucky when we get 10 days with temperatures above 85, and then the summer is al over for us. So no 5 months of good weather, no warm sea or lakes, no swimming pools in our back yards, because it cost to much to heat the water, and our skin looks like a bottle of milk because we don't see alot of sun here. Living in california or florida would be a permanent vacation to us.
Agreed FRancis..as a Canadian I say that no one appreciates the weather more than a Canadian or European. Those in the SW often take it for granted. Very hot for several summer months no sweat go outside early/late, otherwise stay in AC or be elsewhere a few months. Otherwise, almost always glorious weather save for occasional winter storms that pass relatively quickly.
I always thought that the Frank Sinatra House was in Rancho Mirage. They are two quite different cities. I just moved from PS after 20 years. Left California for Arizona
Ugh. "The Rat Pack's town." And the city has barely evolved from that tired old cliché. It's nice for a visit or for someone who doesn't require much from life. But if you're looking for job opportunities, educational opportunities, or exposure to a wide variety of cultures, this is not the place.
I've had a place here since 2002 and moved here for the winter warmth when the weather is spectacular. Nothing like sitting in 75 degree weather in February by the pool looking at snow covered mountains towering 10,000 feet above you. I live an easy 25 minute walk from downtown and it is totally peaceful and quiet with no tourists even during high season. The time to avoid or escape is generally July and August which is about the same as living in Florida or Wahington DC where I have lived.
He was a tortured soul who took LSD over 100x to improve his severely damaged psyche. A horrible childhood and lost many relatives in the Blitz. He was also a closet gay man, who refused to come out, and was married 5 times. LSD won't let you forget those things.
The fans of the rat pack are dying off, but the city hasn't realized it yet. The last thing younger tourists or residents want to see is some 70-year-old with dyed black hair imitating Dean Martin. Even the "oldies" radio station tends to play Sinatra, Peggy Lee or Sammy Davis, Jr. It's as if the Seventies and Eighties didn't exist.
But isn't it ok that 70+ year olds listen to their favourite music? If I visited Palm Springs I would like to see living reminders of what it was like in its heyday. At what age do you feel people should give up what they have always loved doing, including listening to their favourite music? You sound ageist and unpleasant.
The truth is Palm springs belong to a man named Irv Shapiro... He owned n operated all the adult book stores n news stands in the Palm springs area....
been here since 1960 would not move here today rotten place compaired to the 60-s - down under better lot of people move there LOT LESS CRIME THERE compeared to here to bad for palm-springs big town now BIG headachs to
When Trump says "Make America great again" this is what he's talking about. When these buildings were being built it was about being the best, today it's about being "inclusive" and you can't be the best when you include everyone.

Was this when he was still alive? Could you share more details?
Oh no I wish it was for a work function for my wife’s job, they rented the house for a night with Frank, Sammy and Dean impersonators, we got to tour the house and just be in that time for the night it was super fun and an experience I will never forget.
It can be rented for one day....my daughter had her wedding there.....GORGEOUS....
How much
@@juliusvlogivas They said $2500/night
Being the MCM fanatic that I am, I would love to visit one day.
Just got back from Palm Springs. While it was below freezing in Utah, it was 70 to 80 degrees. Peaceful and perfect weather !!!
I enjoyed this video. I’ve always wanted to visit Palm Springs.
Palm Springs has the most beautiful airport in the world! Someone needs to do a segment on that!
I used to work as valet there , making 800 dollars at day, those days are gone.
24,000$ in a month?
Yea right
The architecture makes me interested to visit
I absolutely love Palm Springs! (October-April).
I'm going to take a trip there one day. I've always liked the rat pack vibe there .
I will always cherish every trip I've had in Palm Springs. 🌴🌴 🍸🏞🌞🎰🎲🏊♀️🕶🍝🍴🍽🌴🌴
To live back in those days...
You can live those days now!
Timeless beauty and quality: the houses and interiors still look chique and fabulous today! It all looks so much more stylish than the LA area....
I loved going to Palm Springs had some great times there especially on Palm Canyon Drive , I was stationed at 29 Palms met some very nice people there
Thank you..
Humm how did I fall into this rabbit hole, but thanks, for several years we went to The Springs in Feb.
Beautiful place! Wish I could go there.
Love it!!!
I'd rent Sinatra's house for a day...Put my iTunes Sinatra collection on infinite loop and drink Jack Daniels all day and night by the pool
Usually there's a minimum rental period of 7 nights with these places. Stating it costs $2,500 a night is slightly misleading.
You’d need to take up smoking too if you really to go for it
I think that's a cool idea. My friend is Italian American & her fam has religiously plays Sinatra while cooking & eating dinner. It really is a vibe. I would love to dedicate a weekend doing that.
Love this house

We receive our water from our Aquifer, and the Cahouilla Indians lived here year round.
85° weather?!?!? Girl it’s 112° on any given day in summer. It feels like you’re walking into an oven.
Lux Hunsinger America doesn’t believe in global warming. 85 degrees is all she is capable of acknowledging lol
I did a double-take too.
Lonely Island for cougars.Anyone need a golf pool boy who can grip it and rip but just happy to hold hands.
LOL...85 degree weather? I don't think so! Try 110 + degrees in summer...horrid!
Dodged a Bullet but it’s a dry heat lol

@@3DPeter its 120 here in palm springs this week I dont think u wanna live here especially if u work outside
They say that the gays revived the restaurant scene in Palm Springs.
Palm Springs is where the most entitled rich people go treat the workers like trash.

Left one desert to go to another... Now farther from the ocean.

We don't suppose you have any specific suggestions for your universe of utopia.
Mark Raymond for some. I live here now as an educator with the best job I’ve ever had making 6 figures to start.
Yes I'm sure Frank Sinatras house could tell plenty of stories!😮
I wonder if the town of Palm Desert is similar in style but not in prices...maybe a copy of Palm Springs. And, are there springs in P.S.?
No, Palm Desert has a country club vibe and is more expensive.
85 degree weather psss I wish
At this moment, it is 86 degrees F. in PS - in summer it’ll get up to 120 and higher. Definitely AC is needed.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHH TO BE RICH and be able to afford a stunning MCM home here. MUST BE NICE!!!
Golfing and Tennis before 11am or after 3pm.... ⛳️🎾 Idk about Palm Springs 😐Melvyn’s is the place to be 😎
Where is Melvyn’s ?
What about the homies from Coachella 💯🇲🇽 like this
Yeah you already know
Unless your not bothered by crowds of tourists. Then I don't recommend, living in and around such areas.
Toyota1949 lived here now for 5 years and every year the tourists get more obnoxious.

Cary Grant loved LSD. I can only imagine what it was like being him. WOW

@Helenaville You think people in their 70's were big fans of Sinatra, Martin, etc? People in their late 80's at the youngest!
The truth is Palm springs belong to a man named Irv Shapiro... He owned n operated all the adult book stores n news stands in the Palm springs area....
I don't think it belonged to him.
Not 85 degrees!! More like 120 degrees in the summer now!! No One like that..
News reporters and tourists: Palm Springs is a magical, retro beautiful place
People who actually live here: we in the ghetto, ratatataaaa
Palm Springs is the ghetto. Just head east in the valley and you'll see!
No weight limit............!
Sploosh.......!
Stole a wallet of mine while I was hitching through there in summertime.
Palm Springs obviously pales in comparison to Palm Beach on the east coast.
Nice video, except hanging out at a crowded hotel with a bunch of strangers doesn't look like fun.
Only if the workers choose to go there to work. There's a great big world, honey pie, and the workers keep voting Republican.
They didn't have the sense to even make the Windows and doors close, cheap. Oh, it's sunny.
hi
Maybe in the eightys - early 2000 but now tacky wanna bees

Best house ever if they bulldoze the catholic church. Let Shanad O'Conner drive the bull Dozier.
This place looks horrible. Like living on the moon...
bah humbug
You must be a loser in life
Blue Bird ...I visited recently from England, it was splendid 🙋🏽👍🏽
If you’ve never been, then you don’t get an opinion.
I live in Palm Springs and adore it.
Beautiful, as is the southwest in general. Not everyone understands beauty.
I hate that architecture
