I agree. This album (in my opinion) is their best album musically. The sounds and lyrics have matured so much. It's quite amazing. Honestly it makes me wonder.....what can't they do? lol

Ah, one of my favorite bands, Their music truely is beautiful. This is currently my favorite song. Shinedown is the BEST band to see live.
for all you who thinks he lip syncs now days he isn't. I thought so at first due to it sounding so close to the recorded version and the mic cup but you can hear subtle differences and when he breathes in between notes on all of the performances. he's just gotten really good from his years of experience!!
Keyboard intro of this song is impressive. And vocal melody sounds in mind.

Definitely not lip synching. It's different from the recording and there are a couple of very minor and subtle errors.

People who are saying this is a lip-sync obviously don't have very good ears. The differences are subtle, but there--and they're glaringly obvious in some instances. As has been said, Brent's a pretty amazing vocalist. Use those two things on the side of your head before accusing automatically of a lip-sync.

It's a live performance but it seriously it sounds better than auto tuned half the time, his voice is so amazing. can not wait to see shinedown in concert next week!!
I'm one of the "million faces"...they incredible guys and so nice.. I love them for this song it put all of my thoughts into words and helped me connect with someone I didn't know. All I knew was that I was his match and hopefully by donating bone marrow, I would save his life...

It's not a lip-sync, it doesn't even sound like the album version. He is, like people have been saying, a BADASS VOCALIST. You have to listen very carefully to pick out the distinctions. They're there, but subtle. Even when he pauses to take breath is different. It's easier for people who have perfect pitch. :)

I'd have to say that Brent has definately recovered the performance in his voice since he started working out. He's been a lot more breathy to hit the more stressful belts like he did around 3:31-3:34

Most likely it is not a lip-synch. Many times when an artist does a live recording such as this, and for various reasons they don't approve of a certain part, they may rerecord the part they wish to be changed in a studio to place over the video. I've seen a few Live concert DVDs where this technique was used.

No, he's not lip synching, this clip is using the album recording instead of their actual live performance. I have noticed they do this a lot in any non-bootleg video clip. I find it difficult to believe this is the band's idea, so I am thinking it's some record company bullshit. It's totally unnecessary as they're incredible live. Pisses me off.
Ive been a fan since the first album. Saw brent become overwieght and try too hard. But now they dub his voice on the high parts that he used to hit flawlessly

Just because there are back vocals doesn't mean he's lip syncing. he's actually not, you can hear the differences from the studio version if you really listen. It's just backing tracks, nothing more
you can put yourself singing in the background even if it's live.
Andrew Hooven then whats the diffrence between doong that and the mp3? there are some auto tune layers and a lot of pitching with eq in here, it isnt a pure live :/
