I have been listening to Shinedown for about 15 years or longer. I am absolutely in love with this band. Their music has gotten me through so much in my life. My husband had a stroke 4 years ago then last year he had a heart attack and a stroke. Listening to their music helped me get through this stage in my life. I saw them in concert back in 2019 and was totally blown away by them. Just solidified how much I love them.
shinedown is a band that marked my youth. I do not idolize anyone, but I indeed feel a lot when I listen to them. It's amazing when I find another person who likes them. They're great!

Sometimes bands add additional layers of backing tracks into the live situation, in this case its to add emphasis and overall sound to the chorus. I don't think its cheating as you can still hear Brent pretty clearly
2:03 voice trails longer than the video, its almost like theyre mixing the studio recording during the chorus, then on verse going back to live recording. i doubt theyre lip synching live, but on these live videos i think theyre messing around with it in post production. not the first vid ive seen of them doing this. if im wrong then im sorry but thats what it sounds like to me, ive seen other proshot live videos of them with the same thing done to it. also the backup singing during chorus is 100% perfect on this vid and others. at the very least they are pitch correcting a lot of stuff. oh well I still love them :)
I agree Connor. I guess people just get used to performers who really cant carry the tune from studio to stage. Plus keep in mind that he is often backed up very well by Eric Bass who may be carrying the pitch a bit longer.
Eric Bass is, and always has, done a hell of a job backing him up, and he probably was holding the pitch a little longer. There are plenty of differences between studio and live, they're just really subtle. Brent is one of the few people who sings his songs live the same way he sings them on the record

They may not be pitch correcting anything. Maybe some bands have talent.
Plus there are subtle differences like his voice is much more raspy than in the recording.
