Great video. I've chosen the high end imports deans over Gibson for years. I've always been a Les Paul, flying v, and explorer lover, but deans counterparts simply destroy them 9/10 times, from my experience. My favorite guitar EVER is the dean ML. Theyre basically a cooler looking Les Paul. Same scale, same woods, better tuning stability and they come with better pups. Most of mine came with DiMarzio, Seymour Duncan, and deans own DMT pickups. DMT pickups are criminally underrated. Also deans standard V's are great, but the Dave mustaine signatures are on another level. Dean now makes the vengeance series, which are models of the mustaine vmnt series. I highly recommend them.
I’ll say it all day every day- Dean against anyone. I love dean guitars personally. My dad is a professional musician and he hates them so it’s totally personal preference I guess
how do you fix that tuning issue with the Gibson? You said it goes flat when you move the neck. I just ordered a Dean MKV 24 one of the new ones with a kahler.
I’ve put pickups in over a thousand guitars & when you’ve moved them between guitars one serial number apart and it’s vastly different- you see the truth. We just did a video on two brand new Cort guitars - watch and learn.
can i still buy a dean v now? the court ordered to stop the dean v manufacture.. i really like the dean v .. mostly because i am inspired by schenker..
It doesn’t mater to us which you like. Note your wrong about the Dean -is not from China. Gibson makes way more in China ( most Epiphone).. The point of the video is to compare. Note that the Gibson neck goes out of tune simply by moving angle and the Dean doesn’t. Wood grading is a science we have no say in. If you’d rather buy a can of ham made in the USA over a real ham sliced In Canada- that’s up to you. Just be sure to try both before you post an opinion. In full disclosure I sold my Gibson for a USA made Dean and have zero regret. But if if a Gibson guitar does it for you-awesome too!
@Bess Ross You are a malformed hater. I sold a Gibson V (bought new before I knew better) to buy a Dean. Unless you have tried the comparison you are just making up an option and buying the Gibson corporate sales pitch. The fact is Gibson guitars famously don’t stay in tune( very few people will have repaired more Gibson than I have in 30 years at 3 shops).. The necks are weak and a design flaws they haven’t changed because they know people will buy it as is because of people like you spreading provable bad information. You choose to be negative-I choose to be positive and help educate those who are willing to listen. You don’t have to like it- but calling names is fairly high school. Define loser? I own a home,new car, travel, great kids, many awesome instruments, have performed thousands of gigs (with many famous players) and earned more than 99% of musicians ever and others like you watched my videos.

I got myself an Amott signature model for less than a grand, and i have to say.... Dean works with quality and hellfire! No doubt on that 👍🏻

The only way is to replace the neck with better wood and a better set.
I got a dean v xt from korea date 1996 have tremolo Any suggestion to ugrade it ? Have genric pickups but sound good hi output

It’s on hold now. Check back with us in a few months. We still are getting other Deans.
