    I've never met him but used the process he describes in his book, 'the breakthrough experience' -which is what he describes here (eg. addressing being overweight, addiction, pain and nice/nasty parent etc). I tried it with people/scenarios in my life that were causing me anxiety. The process was incredibly revealing and cathartic. I would reach a point where I suddenly felt so much gratitude, and see that they were actually helping me. It's essentially about balancing your perspective with anything you are reacting to, so you can understand both negative and positive aspects, thus neutralising judgement and reaching a place of total acceptance (ie. love). Being a conscious self-responsible process, where you create new neural pathways, as he says, it also feels less likely to regress back afterwards. Finally I just want to say that trying the process for yourself, experiencing the process, is probably the best way to understand what happens, because words are limit you to left-brain/conceptual understanding, and the feeling of the shift that occurs is beyond that.

    Wonderful presentation! This information is so like German New Medicine where the three aspects of "dis-ease" are the psyche, brain and body, each pinpointed to the other. I would guess that Dr. Demartini may be familiar GNM information - at least I hope so as this would greatly enhance his already terrific findings. In GNM, Dr. Hammer can determine the body's exact problem by seeing the brain scan. If they have not already, the two gentlemen should be talking to one another, IMO.

    great video. I`ve always referred to cancer as a stress dis-ease. my son`s dad passed from colon cancer a few years ago and his personality, thoughts, speech, and behaviors (and even home scenario) could not have been described more accurately. amazing.

    WORKED in workers comp and welfare...secondary gain of money unearned leaves one with sense of failure...also ptsd vets get a check every month but not a life=many suicides...so in my opinion dr martini is correct to correlate emotional/psych issues with illness and eventual shut down of body!

    Remarkable, thank you. This question may be completely inappropriate, however, I am curious all the same, what happens with illnesses diagnosed in childhood/adolescents? ie.Brain tumours, In what ways does your work support these cases?

    Spoiler: story turns to pseudo-science crap at 14 minute mark.

  • @TheFullyBookedCoach
    @TheFullyBookedCoach 9 лет назад +9

    It's total nonsense. I've worked with scores of clients who still procrastinate at what they truly love to do. I know people if you asked them who they are would say "I'm this" or "I'm that" with a grimace on their face. The problem is, there is some good stuff amongst the BS and he talks with such confidence that I can see why people would believe what he's saying. A real neuroscientist would rip this to pieces and he's trying to bamboozle people with pseudo-science.

      Thanks for sharing Tim, This guy is quite popular here in Australia as well - I'd love to know more about what specifically you agree and/ disagree with.

    • @TheFullyBookedCoach
      @TheFullyBookedCoach 9 лет назад

      Scott Epp It would take me so long to explain mate and I'd need to go through it step by step and take notes. I thought about doing that for a blog post to expose this kind of crap, but to be honest I doubt what I have to say will convince people (even using facts) because the guy SOUNDS so plausible. I'd start with his examples because they are so generic and so easy to fabricate and defend. More specific examples would have made a more valid point, but he won't have any. Let me ask you and anybody reading this. Do you really think anybody can come up with 140 beneficial reasons for being overweight? We look for positive examples like this in coaching to help the client understand that they aren't self sabotaging, but they usually struggle to get past 2 or 3. I'm99% sure that was either made upo, wildly exaggerated or she he was dealing with a world-class creative genius.

    • @scottepp3879

      As always - thank you for your insight. I've had a similar experience trying to wrap my head around his philosophies and give it all a chance.

      ***** Are you trying to convince me I'm wrong? That is a very egoic attitude ;)

    • @timdelgado5549
      @timdelgado5549 9 лет назад +4

      ***** Well Tim I was doing quite well with my clients but when I started learning his techniques I've not only helped 4 clients who suffered from schizophrenia and no longer do. I have also helped 4 psychologist clients who were suffering from depression and/or anxiety and one was actually taking psychological meds. Why don't you test it first.
