Thank you! This video lifted one ton of heavy weight out of my chest. All my life I went to bed super late at night, almost in the morning, because I am an artist and that is how I functioned best. Yet every single person around me told me constantly that that is not normal, that is „against nature” and I will eventually get sick! But what made me feel really sick was swinging between my natural flowing schedule and the imposed schedule of being a morning person... I always felt the truth of your words inside myself, but no one else would believe me if I articulated it in actual words. Now I can simply show them this video :))

I’m recently retired and think that I want to accomplish about 10 things: playing the piano and guitar, writing a screenplay, playing more golf, tennis and disc golf, growing beautiful veggies in our garden, traveling, maybe buying and renovating a home in France. I get excited by all of these but am frustrated as to where to start and whether or not I will have time to do it all.

During the lockdown I decided I was going to learn the banjo, learn piano, write songs, take online voice over classes, etc. I did do pretty good but today I am not playing the banjo. I only play the piano for teaching singing. I no longer take Voice over classes, and I don’t write songs! But I get excited about the prospect of “doing it all”. Thinking about what is the priority that’s the key. I think that we need a check list of our priorities and be realistic and we need to do it EVERYDAY.

Some people like myself have 'aphantasia' which is a total lack of imaginative vision. This means we cannot 'visualise' thing in our minds eye. Other than physical goal boards, what do you suggest to counter that please?
I would love an answer to this as well. I've been in multiple workshops now and while I can imagine sounds, feelings and even smells, I can't seem to 'see' anything. Shoot, I can't visualize faces of people I've known all my life.
When I ask people who claim they have this I am in every case able to extract examples of where and when they can visualize clearly. It is value related and asking the right questions. It is a persona of a wound that generally reduced their visual accessing but it is seldom completely shut off.

Serious question, I just googled you and the Dr. Part is as a chiropractor. I thought you would have at the very least an MD in clinical psychology by the way you present yourself as an expert in physiology. Why not drop the Dr. So you don't loose credibility?
