Télépopmusik is a French electronic music group made up of Fabrice Dumont, Stephan Haeri, and Christophe Hetier. They released their first album, Genetic World, in 2001, and it featured several singles that came out afterward. In their album Genetic World, rapper Mau from Earthling joined as a guest singer under the name Soda-Pop for tracks like "Genetic World," "Da Hoola," and "Trishika." Their song "Breathe" from the same album got nominated for a Grammy Award in 2004 for Best Dance Recording. It reached number 42 on the UK Singles Chart in March 2002. Angela McCluskey, who co-wrote and sang on "Breathe," is from the American band Wild Colonials.

This song makes me tear up. I feel like i've heard this before when I was very young, but it reminds me of when I was younger living alone with my mom before life became a struggle. Me and her lived in a little apartment and a fond memory I have is watching the old tv shows from the boomerang channel with her. And now I’m 14 and just hearing this again. She passed away earlier last year and hearing songs like this make me think about her :’)

This song has a remarkable amount of significance in my life.
When my mother had sent me to live with my uncle when I was 17, he would always play this song and tell me to relax. I was a heavy drug user at the time. Since then, I have overcome my issues and live a happy life, with 2 children and a lovely wife. Words cannot describe how I feel every time I hear this track.

Back in the day there was pretty much no other way to get "that one track" that you liked.

I have been through a lot. I've been fighting my whole life. I'm still alive and breathing, and I couldn't be more thankful. Peace, blessings, and love to all.
I was 14 yo when this tune came out. It was summer, a few months before my country (Argentina) had gone to hell in the biggest crisis of our history. But I was playing with my cousin in the pavement, playing football and talking about Dragon Ball Z and Evangelion, and this song was on repeat on every radio station. Despite the horrible situation around us, we had a great summer that year, meeting more friends and new people around the neighbourhood, kicking the ball and biking everywhere.
I would listen to this tune over and over again throughout the years, in every place I ever lived I listened to it more than once. It's been 20 years now, things are so different. I no longer live in Argentina, I am in a chimpanzee sanctuary in Sierra Leone and I am playing this song for a co worker of mine, is the first time she has ever heard it. She immediately added Telepopmusik to her playlist and is checking if she could see them live. My cousin has 2 babies and is a happy hip-hop music producer and events organiser.
I was thousand of kilometres away from the place where this band is from when I first heard this song, I am thousand of kilometres way now again, yet I listen to this track and all these beautiful memories come to my mind, I can almost picture every situation in which I played it to make the atmosphere just perfect. From a flat in San Telmo to a hostel in Copenhagen and from camping site in Norway to a jungle in Sierra Leone. Good music is timeless, and unites people and memories.

I once had a perfect moment in my life. Everything was perfect for once. I entered my room in a plush hotel in San Francisco for my honeymoon. This song was playing on the radio there. Truly set the mood, I loved it and yet had no idea who it was. It took several years to find out who they were. Now its a main staple of my music intake when I need to take things down a notch. I was 21 and thought I was in love with my professor. I had no emotional support in my life beside having him listen to my family problems, insecurities, and hopes and help me with my struggles before and afterschool times. This went on for about two years and I developed an immense crush on him, he was older, about 51 but really youthful for his age. I remember dreading the summer vacation because I wouldn't see him. Those summer days went past and the week before school started again I discovered this song. It was the day before school started and my heart was pounding with excitement at the thought of finally seeing him tomorrow. All I did the entire day was "staring at the ceiling...another day....just breathe..." I couldn't believe how perfectly the lyrics fit my situation. I saw him the next day and it was all I had been waiting for. We never did anything inappropriate, I know he knew I had a massive crush on him. I just recently found the name to this song and I’ve been searching for a few years now. I was working over 60 hours a week in a sales job just trying to make it in life and this song would come on occasionally. I really liked it and was always happy when it came on.
