A lot of them in that meeting were ridiculous. It was a perfect example of people being more interested in the mechanics of having a meeting, rather than achieving any meaningful outcome.
My suspicion is that this happens in every parish council, church group, cycling club and tinpot little organisation up and down the country. One minute a man is Joe the bricklayer, but give him a job on the golf club committee and he behaves like he's holding the nuclear codes!
Fair enough this fella didn't deserve death threats, but the real victims are the people who elect them to do a job, pay their taxes, then get to witness a shambles like this.

Death threats is never OK and is a sad reflection on the world we live in now. However, this guy was still a bully and was completely unprofessional in that infamous Zoom meeting.
We need more reasonable people like @adam4757 who understand that there's more sides than who's "good" and who's "bad"

Sorry, but the legality and council protocol and all that gubbins is no excuse for acting like a complete tool. He hasn't reflected on that at all in the last 2+ years, obviously.
Bang on. I seem to recall reading that Jackie Weaver (always her full name of course) was brought in precisely because of previous bad behaviour.
The proof is in the pudding. The first few minutes are chaos...but when three of them are booted out it turns into a nice civil meeting.
It turns out she wasn't entitled to do this, but I reckon a lot more work got done after she did.
And at the following meeting, he read out a lawyers letter with advice justifying why Weaver's meetings were "unlawful" but when he was asked for a copy by the public, he refused and claimed attorney-client privilege (despite that being legally waived if you reveal the advice in public) and threatened people with a non-molestation order if they asked any further and invited them to try it. @@danjames4086yes but, maybe if you think about it for a second, if you are elected and take it serious (which they obviously did) and expect everyone to follow the rules and regulations, then you would understand why they were protesting and nothing got done. In the end, IIRC, the acts of booting them and the meeting were unlawful. And I take a few brass clumsy council members over those that don‘t follow the rules and regulations, because those are breaking the laws and I can‘t stand politicians who do that. None the less because it may cost you, the tax payer double. One for the thing and two for any potential lawsuit.
If someone ever screamed at me like this man screamed at Jackie weaver, especially in a workplace or professional environment, I’d probably lose my shit 😂😂

There's one thing to read something, but another to read and actually understand it.
Bog standard behaviour for a bully. Shout people down, claim seniority and then claim victimhood and the moral high ground when they get called out on their behaviour. Sadly, such people cannot see why this is wrong.

Saying there’s not a bullying bone is a body dosent make it true. Because even out of context he was acting like one with shocking behaviour for a councillor meeting. He’s just angry he got caught and the whole country saw who he is.

@@Matthew-bu7fg yes there is, and I felt automatically that what he was doing is not righteous anger, but a selfish will to dominate. That's why he had to make this video, society feels he crossed the line.
Its important to notice the less control he had the more angry he became while everyone else remained calm.
He was getting angry at someone trying to do something illegal, not just one of those things that doesn't affect anyone else, but someone interrupting the democratic process.

Did you see the video? Jackie was the only one in the wrong. Yes they were angry, because she expected to get away with whatever and face no consequences. If you saw a man yelling at a woman for stomping on puppies, you wouldn’t act like the man was in the wring for being angry and flustered, you’d be mad at the clearly psychopathic woman doing it. Personally I think overthrowing a democracy to install yourself as dictator isn’t the kind of thing you shrug off.

Council reports in to the meetings showed him and 2 other councilors were "on the balance of probability" in some breaches of the Code of Conduct for members. They also said "Faced with what were unusual and difficult circumstances, and the deep-seated issues underpinning those circumstances, we can understand why Jackie Weaver acted as she did, despite her action being without any formal footing in terms of appropriate process and procedure." so he can say what he wants but the facts are out there and the investigations are now public.
I think you need to see what I have written above. The investigations you speak of are now no more. Aled took the matter to the High Court and he has won.

You cant judge anything like this without context. This guy and Barry were the elected chair and vice chair. The whole video makes sense two ways: Either they were acting badly for some time and were raging like idiots as they recieved their consequences, or they had been mistreated by Jackie who was acting badly and they were angry about it which is perfectly readonable.
Brian was the chair, not Barry. Brewerton, Burkhill, and Tolver behaved like tools for months, and they got their comeuppance. And this silly fool is still whining about it in this video.
