Very awesome video...I'm looking at getting the Denuo Novo kit now that they actually have it. I have the helmet from Anovos from Force Awakens, so will go wit that build. Your vid totally helps out. Thanks!
I thoroughly enjoyed this tutorial, and have learned alot. If only, everyone who does trooping or cosplay could be so complete in their videos.Thank you, or much as I have never built nor worn armor, but will be doing both quite soon.

I just got this armor, haven't even trimmed it yet. Your video is awesome. You mentioned you reinforced the the edge of the arm openings on the back/chest piece with ABS. I was wondering how you did this. Did you melt the ABS into a paste with acetate and brush on? My guess. I love the idea of making it more durable and that is a great tip!
@@equusvideo Your video will save me a lot of heartache. The first few times you wear a new costume, you learn trial and error it's unpredictable shortcomings. You explained many..THANK YOU!!! This will be the first endeavor with an armor costume (I am an expert with the sewing machine, made my own Rebel Legion Resistance Pilot). A friend of mine had the FO Denuo Novo Last Jedi kit and helmet just laying around his apt (long story). He sold to me for a ridiculous low price better than a black friday deal. He hasn't even unwrapped any of the parts, and all is still in the original shipping boxes. I got my work cut out for me. Do you recommend any video's on how to cut this out? I can follow the cutting lines myself, but looking for advice and tips to save me more future heartache. I got a couple 501st friends helping me out too.
Question on the magnets in the chest: did you install before you welded the front and back? No pauldrons yet but I'm planning ahead. Also feels like pre installing magnets would be much easier while the Chest pieces are separate. Thank you again!
Hey Ardeshir. Great video from a true expert. I need a bit of advice. I've got the Denuo Novo kit. As tutorials were hard to come by, and not wanting to paint my armor, I went the route of sanding it with the harder-lighter grit you advised. I was under the impression that the process, along with the polish, would bring out the maximum shine. Then I stopped about halfway. It was already shiny out of the box. Welding the chest piece aside, did I make a mistake? Does the armor even NEED sanding and polishing? If not, can I bring the sanded pieces back with a lot of work? Thanks, Ardeshir. 501st is in my sights.
Hey buddy thank you. The armor doesn’t need sanding that’s only for the parts they get welded together like the abdomen sides or the chest hole that gets glued together. However I still recommend painting and I’d use the Behr Gloss White. I am painting another set now and it’s beautiful paint.
@@equusvideo Awesome! Got the Behr spray paint. Do you recommend the ABS be sanded with the usual methods before painting? And do you recommend a primer?
Adeshir, can you say where or how you constructed the hollow thermal detonator? Did you actually take the time to hollow it out? It seems like a much better piece than the solid resin detonator that comes with the kit. I especially like how you made the tube removable for either episode. Also do you think the E6000 glue works better or just as good as ABS glue?
How can i go about getting storm trooper armor that the 501st will aprove of. Im looking for basic storm trooper or shadow trooper. The black series helmets got me thinking about this cuz i want to get one
Thank you for sharing all your knowledge on the builds. Question: why did you decide NOT to paint the armor? I see a lot of other folks painting it. To me, it seems like an unnecessary step and I'd prefer not to do it. But I'm not sure which way to go. Thoughts?
There isn’t much of a difference, but it is enough to be noticeable. I pointed out those changes. Different thermal detonator and different helmet and cod piece and now they may be implementing different details on blasters
@@equusvideo Thanks so much!! I thought so because it's more durable. I appreciate your quick responses. I have watched your video several times now, and I always learn something new...and will probably ask more questions!
