- In this video I am trying to show you how to fix You Can't Access This Shared Folder Because Your Organization's Security Policies Block Unauthenticated Guest Access.

Regedit Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters
unauthenticated guest access, file sharing. network share shared drive. shared folder. windows cannot access shared folder windows 10 file sharing not working windows 10 shared folder access denied contact your administrator cant access this shared folder, can't access shared folder windows 10, you don't have permission to access this folder, can't connect to this network, windows was unable to connect to wifi you can't access this shared folder can't access the shared folder
Right-click on an empty space, click on new, select dword 32, and rename it by AllowsecureGuestAuth

Update: this works until I reboot then I have to go back into regedit and change the value to 0 then change it to 1 and it works again until I reboot then have to repeat the entire process.

Great video solved my problem in Minutes. New W11 machine did not want to connect to W10 machine. The "D"word was not even in W11. Had to create it. Once there, worked like a charm. Thank you !

So thanks for this info, for further info I followed the video only to find out that I didn't have the AllowInsecureGuestAuth as an option. So I had create a new DWORD registry entry and named it, once I created it then I changed the value data to 1 that resolved my issue. I feel like a disclaimer would be appropriate here so only do this if you feel comfortable creating/editing registry entries.

This fixed my problem, thank you! It was also coming up with an error message saying that it could be a spelling error: "check the spelling of the name". What's weird is the first error message I got was "you can't access this shared folder because your organization's..." but after a while that never came back up, instead it was the spelling error message and none of the tutorials on how to fix that had this solution. So while I had already looked at this solution, I didn't do it as I thought it wasn't necessary. So I wasted a few hours when I didn't need to lol

Guidance:
The client attempted to use SMB Multichannel, but an administrator has disabled multichannel support on the server. This may also be a non-Microsoft file server that does not support multichannel or has multichannel disabled. You can enable SMB Multichannel on the server using this Windows PowerShell cmdlet:
Set-SmbServerConfiguration -EnableMultiChannel:$true. (on client side).
This event does not apply to the multichannel settings of SMB client, which are controlled by the Set-SmbClientConfiguration Windows PowerShell cmdlet. Enabling or disabling client multichannel support does not affect server multichannel support.

This worked for me on my Win 11 Pro pc -- thanks! Oddly enough, on my other Windows 11 Pro pc it does not have the *AllowSecureGuestAuth* string but it can browse and connect to other computers on the LAN without issue.

Well done, thanks for that. I had tried all sorts of Registry and command line suggestions, but none worked. For me, simply typing my network drive's IP address in the run window fixed it. I could then map the drive as normal, no need for any Regedit stuff!

hmm triple checked the path but the allowed secure thing does not exist. Trying to connect to a pc on my network. I am on lan he is using wifi. Dont know what I did, between deleting and reinstalling stuff but found it instantly this time, the path to it was still opened except that reg item was there to edit.

There is no "AllowsecureGuestAuth" option.What should I do?
When i opened the path in regedit, I did not have "AllowInsecureGuestAuth" If you run into the same, just add a new DWORD and name it "AllowInsecureGuestAuth" then follow the video by setting the value to 1. Worked like a charm
