It may be silly but I’ve often wondered, is there an approximate riding speed at which low and high speed rebound or compression damping kick in? I understand it will vary based on the shape of the object being hit but there must be a bit of correlation with riding speed. I’m not travelling at the kind of speeds these racers do when I’m riding so does high speed actually kick in for me all that much? Or are racer’s damping circuits custom to suit the speeds they travel at versus the off the shelf setup I can buy in the shops?
I have a question for Jordy. Why hasn’t fox developed a coil air spring for any of their trail/enduro forks? What is your opinion of the coil conversion kits on the market now?
