The easiest way to get Z is to do all of these things:
Get a 20 hit combo
Finish the quest while transformed
land 3 throws
Finish with 80% or more health (use capsules)
Defeat the last enemy with an ultimate attack
Defeat 3 enemies with ultimate attacks
Have 80% or higher accuracy
That gets you a score of around 16000 which is enough to get you Z

What I did is take no damage until Gotenks. I still get a Z and I make sure to use a Ultimate during that fight with SSJ3 Gotenks.

Put me up against a lvl 100 enemy, put me up against something that requires skill beyond luck to fight and I'd have been glad for it. This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Killed every enemy with an ultimate, got 10 supers used, couldn't get the 20 hit combo b/c it either vanishes at 19, or instantly dies around 10 hits. It's not fun, it's a waste of my fucking time.
Dont transform before combo it makes them take less damage

10 Super confirmed hits (I transferred Super Dragon fist from XV1 and it proved very helpful on the advancement tests)
5 ultimate confirmed hits (for multi hit attacks like Kamehamehas, only 1 hit has to bypass their guard)
Don't take damage at all, if your HP bar loses the silver effect at all, this one is null and void, healing items won't work
Finish with 80%+ of health remaining
Finish 3 Enemies with Super *NEW*
Finish 3 Enemies with Ultimates
Finish while in a transformed state (Power Pole Pro, Giant Namek, Gold Frieza, Potential Unleashed, Super Saiyan/Super Vegeta, Pure Majin, all Kaiokens)
Hit with 20 normal ki blasts, I like to use Rush charged ki blasts as that has a chance to hit the enemy for up to 23 hits
Get a 20+ Hit Combo
Get a 50+ Hit Combo? (it was in XV1, not sure if it's still here)
Finish under 3 minutes
Defeated a Strong Enemy
Defeated enemy stronger than you (basically, if you're underleveled you will get this on higher level final target enemies)
Rogue-like - hit from behind 10 times (z vanish or vanish dash and hit the enemy when their back is turned to you)
Close Call *NEW* - Remaining Health Less than 10%
won't work if you feel like doing an earlier story mission

Main ones to look for when trying to z rank the fifth advancement test.
-Grappler (land 3 grabs)
-Transformed finish (Finish the test while transformed)
-Ki blaster (land about 10-20 ki blasts)
-ultimate finish (finish the last enemy with an ultimate)
Does Power Pole count as a transformation or is it an accessory with usable mechanics?

Here's a list of all the bonus things that I've seen that can give you a higher rank score.
Defeat 3 enemies or 5
Defeat 3 enemies with super attacks or 5
Defeat 5 enemies with ultimate attacks
Defeat last enemy with ultimate attack
Defeat last enemy with super attack
Defeat last enemy while transformed
Hit with super attacks 10 times
Hit with ultimate attacks 5 times
Defeat a strong enemy
Defeat enemy stronger than you
Clear within 3 min.
Did a combo of 20 hits
Used evasive skills 5 times
Hit with 20 Ki blasts
Performed 3 throws
Attack accuracy 80%
Remaining health less than 10%
Instructor joined the fight
Took no damage
Remaining health greater than 80%
Ally's health greater than 80%
Picked up 5 items
Fought by yourself
Caused the most damage
Defeat the most enemies
Revived allies 3 times
Never KO'd
Hit from behind 10 times
First in the quest
And I believe deflect 20 ki blasts

A good tip for gotenks is during his ghost animation hold the heavy attack and it will break his guard then use a powerful move

got z rank on all advancement tests after this video on my first try thanks
Haven't watched yet, but here's what I do and it always works.
3 grabs
20 ki blasts (using rush charged ki blast)
3 KOs using super moves
Final KO with an ultimate
Try to finish without getting hit
End the mission transformed
Get a 25 hit combo
I haven't NOT gotten a Z rank while doing these.
Beat the mission in 3 minute's is a good one one for the advance test

There is also a Super Soul called "40 Ton Weight" that increases your score
You get it from from a random npc around Conton
It'll increase your score, not your rank though
Higher score = higher rank. And yes, it can change a rank.
Al Mujaddid Is that you putting 2 and 2 together, or have you tested it? Because I've tested it, it gives you your rank, then increases your score for your extra exp boost
Xargen Tel'Nada It calculates everything beforehand. Let's say you need 2000 score for the Z-Rank, and you get 1800 before the bonus points pop up. It'd still put a Z before the score boost.
And yeah, I tested it with Vegeta in one of his instructor trainings. The one where you learn Finish Breaker. I kept getting an S, but when I equipped 40 ton weights, my score got pushed and I got a Z, whilst doing the exact same thing I did to get an S. Hope it makes sense :)

I Cant Get A Z Rank For Kai Class(Advancement Test 4)
Take capsules go fight them and when cell comes transform and then get him to low health and use a capsule to heal you fully then finish him with an ultimate
you forgot getting 3 stamina breaks (Presistent), finding 5 items (Treasure Hunter), used evasive 5 times (Evader) and Hitting enemy 10 times on his back (Rogue Like) those 4 will also help getting z rank and you get untouchable when you didn't been hit this one gives you many points and yeah it's 10 times using your super for extra points to get this one easily you need to équipe dodon ray because this move don't drain your ki you can use it as many times as you want without needing ki

Hey thanks for this, Thunder! I was wondering how you unlocked Potenial Unleashed! Turns out I had Z rank in 4 of the 5 first tests already! Had no idea I only had to do one more to get Potential Unleashed.
Nef at the orange star high school there is a robot next to elder Kai and he'll give you 5 quests, you need to Z rank all 5 quests

Professor Oak yes in deed the move is no longer useful really that was my own reason for being a strike super type of character I'm starting to think if I get these last two dragon balls I might redo my attributes even though my character is pretty balanced but I think the blast supers are more useful this game
idk, it seems like it's a lot harder to combo into the blast supers unless you do a stamina break combo. the tracking on moves was a lot easier in the first one.

Honestly I never used Blue Hurricane for PvP. I always used it for grinding the Great Ape stages. I kind of thought of it as a way of cheezing your opponents.
gamrage well yeah, but it's nerfed to hit like 1 for every 10 it used to. on the bright side since you have to start over on each new guy you don't have to grind the apes.

"Untouched' means that you didn't take a single bit of damage throughout the whole mission. I've gotten a bunch of those on Parallel Quests and story mode. They're easy to get, but are hard to get at the same time.

Untouchable is make sure you're literally untouched. Making your health look like you're untouched doesn't work.
Also a good thing to add might be the super soul 40 ton weights which increases your score for a quest. Gotta finish the story mode and go above the time machine station. There's someone from the hero society that gives it to you. Idk if it boosts your chances at getting a higher evaluation though
It only gives you bonus XP, doesn't actually increase your rank.

-Land 5 Super attacks
Goodluck. You don't even have to be good to get Z-Rank in most the quest, just aim for the points. I Z-Ranked all missions up til 45 after watching this video. I'll finish the rest last since 86-100 are Z-Ranked already for me :)
Jaegar Ultima I did this on my female sayian, melee/ki supers at 60. You don't need a stamina break which is why I told you exactly what moves to use. Learn to use them and they will help you Z-Rank missions easier.

Is it bad that I can't finish the Challenge Quest 13 that's in the tutorial list? My controller doesn't seem to want to press Y+B together so I'm stuck either long punching or ki blasting (majin race). And the timing for some of the stuff they ask you to do is ridiculously precise and quick.
I just did that yesterday if you're talking about the advanced combo training...it took me FOREVER and I was raging so hard lol but I finally got it done. And yeah, it's ALWAYS that one attack that messes up no matter what, everything else works fine.
Guy Melissari Besides the up+move stun hit failing a lot, the toss kick (Y+B) and ridiculous combo patterns. It doesn't help my mentor is Broly and he doesn't get knocked back as far as other instructors. I'm using an Elite Controller and I still struggle even with the paddle triggers.
oh yeah I forgot about the god damn stamina break part too (the up+move stun) that shit was frustrating too. I feel like if you just keep trying and not let it get to you, as impossible as that sounds, you'll eventually get it.

Electrons Dimension old ok so in between the hercule house time rift and the guru house time rift (I found above hercule house) there will be someone named oba or something like that and he'll have a question mark above his head, all you gotta do is talk to him. HES wearing red and he's bald
You can only get it as a human. You need to go to the Hercule house time rift and complete the great saiyaman quests. Eventually the great saiyaman guys will be talking about getting you a weapon and vehicle. That would be the flying nimbus and the power pole. The next quest would be the one where you unlock it.
I think you just became my best friend. First try after watching this video I was able to get Potential Unleashed. Keep up the awesome work!

Completed quest without being hit (Untouchable)
