I love both Death and Lamb of God. Let's look at this way, both bands have very talented musicians, play metal, and are both technical in their own way. Also, Gene Hoglan and Chris Adler are my two favorite drummers of all time, right before Richard Christy.
Death's drummer from Individual Thought Patterns and Symbolic was Gene Hoglan, a.k.a. "The Atomic Clock." He is also the drummer for Dethklok on their three releases.
I absolutely love this guys. And this song is an absolute top... Now, answer me this: why does the solo sounds easier to play than any other part of the whole song? I mean, that's a thing of beauty. It might just be me but, the fact that it actually might be easier than the rest of the riffs, pace, hammering consistency of the composition... I really think it is a work of genius. ¡Viva Cordero de Dios!
Technically, Venom started as death metal. They just so happened to kick off a whole new sub-genre with one song (Black Metal). Led to a slew of church burnings and whatnot in Norway back in the mid 80's

Also if you're going for the first very first Death Metal band that would be Possession, they were Influenced by Venom as well as Judas Priest and they're also called an influence by Death. LoG are Groove Metal, Death Metal, Thrash Metal, they have different sounds but they're all the same sub genre family. (1)

But not it's 20 years later and it doesn't make any sense to call Lamb of God New Wave so we call them groove metal, Just like we did with Pantera.. No, no, no Sabbath and Maiden are not New Wave of british metal. Sabbath was one of the first Heavy Metal bands out their, they are the purest form of Metal because they created it.
When i first watched it there were a lot more mistakes but now all i see is that it's supposed to be "Read the story OF my skin" Not 'on' and you made that mistake like once more.
