What annoyed me about the planned Dark Universe is that they insisted of setting it in modern times instead of the turn of the century or early 20th century like it should have.
They should have done authentic remakes of all the original movies/books and then had a combined film set around the 30s or 40s with the Mummy. Instead, they clearly had no good vision, plan, commitment, or quality control.
A Universal monsters shared horror canon would have been great, but they set it up to fail from the start by bad decisions.
They should have stuck with it, paces themselves and followed this movie up. with an adaptation of the book, a book accurate Frankenstein, Dr Jekyll, and then updated remakes of Mummy and Wolfman, all with a single creative visionary like Del Toro.
      But nope. Universal botched it.

Unbelievable portrayal of Vlad the Impaler, who was a ferocious warrior, leaving hundreds of bodiesin his wake across the countryside. My very favorite though, was Nosferatu made in the20-30' s. He was terrifying!! Then of course Basil Rathbone, and Sir Christopher Lee and the later ones in the 60' s -70's! Truly sexy ones then

This is a little off topic with the video, but after watching season 6 of My Hero Academia I agree with Dracula when he said “sometimes the world doesn’t need a hero. sometimes what it needs is a monster.”
There needs to be someone in MHA to get his hands dirty in order to protect the innocent. I really want an anti hero in MHA so bad like Red Hood, Punisher, or Ghost Rider to show fear to the villains.

This part where Vlad goes back to the master vampire would have been much more frightening if the scenery were only lit by the torch and occasional moonlight then when the torch goes out Vlad is surrounded in pitch blackness and then when he turns around to find the master vampire right in front of him. Just imagine suddenly turning into a random direction and you come face to face with a pair of glowing red eyes
