So that means when Sans or Papy turns your heart blue, you can't smack it around?
Here is an idea, make it so that if you DO get a blue soul, it instead has to be hit in an arc to jump, as if it was an actual golf ball!
For Green, maybe just make it Pong
Yellow would probs just be “ram into things”
Purple might have strings bounce you around

My favorite detail is while “SOUL” is usually unfailingly capitalized literally everywhere else in the game, Flowey’s just so surprised that he totally forgets his “tutorial flower” role

Imagine if flinging your soul at the boss damages it and depending on how hard you hit your soul is the more damage it deals.

I feel like if it was in the actual game this'd probably be the light blue soul, as golf itself takes a lot of patience and time to play.
Good point! I wonder what sort of enemy would use it though, or if we can just change to a light blue soul whenever we want.

Cyan and orange is such a good representation for what's going on here. You can't actually move by yourself, yet your movement is hard to control once you start.

is there a version where you can use the regular wasd instead? I think that would still work well, maybe have one key like space change power dependent on how long it is held and then spin the direction with wasd. Very cool mod!

These sounds and effects make this seem like it feels really good to do. I especially love the weak hit sound. So satisfying
I absolutely love the idea of like, a Deltarune boss or something using this mechanic
Like, an entire battle sequence that's designed around this one mechanic would be so sick
I can only imagine the nightmares of fighting other final bosses of the endings.
this looks and sounds great! it would be interesting if there was a health penalty for hitting the soul really hard and you had to balance dodging and using excess force.
Imagine if full swing would deal you one HP damage. it would make sense since you're hitting your soul. But it would be awful

This looks like something that would be absolute HELL to play as, but if there was a full fight focused on this soul and its executed well it could work

i can imagine a game like this but instead of golfing and dodging at the same time you see attacks poitings at differents dirrections and you have to move to the correct spot to dodge everything

the soul color is actually perfect though, patience to make sure your shot is correct and bravery for sending the soul into oncoming magic bullets
I love how its orange and cyan because golf is all about waiting for the perfect time to do a shot but also going for it without hesitation

I think it'd be cool if the direction the SOUL moves is to be inaccurate should you hit it way too hard.

I imagine it'll be the same, except you're effected by the downard gravity. So if you would launch yourself upwards you would fall back down

It seems like it messes with the blue mode during some of Sans's attacks, the gravity when he starts switching you around makes it impossible to properly dodge attacks.
I managed to get through his first attack with the glasses and notebook... but that second phase is rough, lol
If this is going to be a series, I will have to live in fear. What next, pinball flippers? Pong? Snake?
I feel like the 100% shot should make the first bullet to hit the soul just bounce against it and slow it down, making it probably more open to attacks, but still allowing for quick movement

FIGHT should just be one of those power and spin gauges commonly used in golf games.
The mod is great and I love being able to play fights on my graphics tablet but in Papyrus fight when your heart changes to blue you can only move sideways and you don't fall, so if you're not close enough to the ground when this happens, the last bone just doesn't spawn. Because of that, you get stuck on an empty battle screen for about half a minute after which the fight completely glitches out. All of a sudden you get multiple dialog lines at the same time and if you try to attack, the game crashes. It did give me a laugh tho seeing the game go completely nuts.

Alright so the pros is fast movement and the cons is moving in one direction most of the time.
