IF YOU'RE PULLING FOR NUNGAL READ THIS: Keep in mind Nungal is a Crossbow user. I've seen no mention of this NOWHERE and as someone who started their account with her this has come up A LOT of times. Bow users have to worry a LOT about the terrain, ESPECIALLY Nungal, since she sports an insane range. A lot of times, and I do mean this a lot of times, you will have enemies within her attack range that you WILL NOT be able to attack since her projectile trajectory is either blocked by a corner (She can only fire straight ahead in a line), by items (you will come to hate boxes and barrels) or even due to height limitations (not sure why but this has happened even when Nungal was the one standing above them. I'm guessing the cliff/wall blocked the shot?). Ive yet to see the game give ANY mention of this mechanic or explain it so it can be confusing, but it can definitely be very frustrating in maps with a lot of elevation differences such as hills or mountains, or very urban levels with tons of items scattered across the stage. I'm saying this as someone who also has Innana who's essentially Nungal's dream partner. My only hope is that someone like Edda, who's able to create vantage points for her, will help her a lot. That said, 1 shotting enemy tanks from across the field with her is very satisfying.
its actually mentioned in chapter 4 of the main story, you do a little quiz puzzle where it shows crossbows unable to hit past an object while a bow can loop over the object. But I do agree that it needs to be more obvious from the start.
crossbow characters do have a little bit more limited range, but generally you should be able to shoot what you want as long as you are not blocked. are you by any chance playing with a controller on the PC or using the steam deck? cause there is a bug with using controller right now which makes all your range user just flat out can't aim at distance target, and this includes beryl
I think he didnt consider the build with basic attack focus full draw sniping stance the perk which ignores def is op as hell since it applies to both mdef and pdef which will make her dmg scale like crazy then switch full draw to eagle eye and the basic to fatal shot and she doesnt even need nrg points her basic will have almost 100% crit with 50% + crit dmg and ignoring 40% def
Got her in my first 10 pull (and only, since I'm saving all my currency and only pulling with the "tickets" they give me) in her banner. So far... I have every unit I wanted... bow dude is likely to be replaced for most content.
is it worth trying to pull for her if my team is heavily leaning on beryl and edda right now? I kind of want the ranged magic sniper to add to that, but should i be saving for safiyya and auguste instead?
Someone said that there is a rare weapon bow that give 25% def ignore and it is easily enhanced to 5/5 making it better than a legendary gear. Is this true?
Her early game is a bit rough but when you get the NRG regen skill she scales soooo hard she's such a nice unit that appreciates every bit of exp you put in her.
Sniping stance says it increases the range of "ranged skills". Does this include basic attacks? You assume it does, but I think it needs to be clarified.
not pulling her, I got this whole banner on accident trying for Beryl. tbf I got a bunch of units in a short amount of pulls but now I have no reason to sit on this banner so I'm gonna be in save mode for a while...It's funny too cause these were the 2 off banner units that one specific banner gave me >_>

didn't read the name and skill of the crossbow correctly and end up using the mega melee crossbow for her for a while. just slap the first legend crossbow I have and get it to level 40. don't do this kind of stupidity guys. read correctly. lol

Ahh I see what you mean. She ain't like Faycal who got Curve Shots and can shoot even if something is blocking him.

Yo, thanks for putting up these comprehensive guides.
My issue with xbows is that they are just straight up worse than regular bows. They cant shoot around stuff, and dont get any benefits to offset it.
I thought they had extra range or power but I guess not.

Overall i agree though. Literally all her skills in there are viable and good!

Nungal is a very fun unit to play. she has 2 totally different play styles and it's fun and deadly

I used sniper stance for the extra crit and at 35, did a 2200 crit hit. She is a strong dps and with 60% armor ignore, it gets sick.

imo sounds like Nungal is annoying in pvp, so if one wants to use "money" and be mean to other people he gets this char :D
That first ability is trash. It is not an instant so after you use it, it will end your turn.
I think it lasts the entire fight though
