    Agnes jee, ur experience towards India is changing wid time of ur stays here. It's great. See there r Bad & good people in every country I guess. Maan jee is out of country & Yet U r staying here with ur Children. It's ok because U r staying in a society but U gained confidence U can manage here for month even in ur husband's absence in d country. One aspect is U r daughter-in-law of India, 2nd aspect is ur views towards the country that gained U will power to handle day to day life. Just imagine the foreigner women tourist group, how they roaming in d Indian road without scare. I feel proud when I See them enjoying street food, shopping in the treadfair. I agree with you in most of the issues. Why people want to take selfie with foreigners is beyond me!! But my American friends would differ with you on two things. Crop top( or short top) and food. She wore what she wanted in India when they (her family also) came couple of months back. & she absolutely loved the street foods. That may be because they had lot of Indian food back home.

    • @AgnesMann
      @AgnesMann  3 месяца назад +1

      If someone is coming for a short holiday to a new country they are likely to only just begin to learn about the culture and local customs. We cannot expect them to know it let alone follow it. We as hosts have to make tourist feel welcome and show them the ways so they can learn and appreciate and understand. But I agree that if one would not respect or want to learn about it then the whole experience might be different

      A significant percentage of ra pes in India go unreported. In rural areas, which make up a large part of the country, many incidents are not even recorded. Additionally, women often face shame and stigma from family, friends, society, and even the police. There is also the issue of male lead society in large parts of India and corruption and lack of care, trust, and even long delays in the system to deal with cases in India where many women di not trust or feel it's a broken system There is also the issue of a male-dominated society in many parts of India, along with corruption, lack of care, and trust in the system. Additionally, long delays in handling cases contribute to many women feeling that the system is broken and not trustworthy for reporting rape. Let's not also forget the dreadful cripes of gangrping which is very apparent in India. There is also cultural and social Factors and deep-rooted patriarchal norms and gender inequality contribute to the prevalence of sexual violence. Women often face significant societal stigma and victim-blaming, which can discourage reporting and perpetuate the cycle of violence.
      Additionally, it is important to note that a significant proportion of rapes Europe are committed by immigrants, Population Per Area, who entered illegally or are seeking asylum.

    India should be called Rapistaan where rapists are politically protected by Members of Parliament. In fact 170 MPs have criminal charges related to corruption, bribery, violence and of course rape. And andhbhakts across this country have voted these candidates blindly who have multiple counts of offences and sent them to the Parliament. In fact our democratic institutions are taken for granted, that is why we have loose criminal laws and people take advantage to commit such crimes.

    india is somewhat safe for women but crime against women increase all over world except some scandinavian countries. every countries head should robust their law or its implementation . some political parties of india defame india for little poltical gain on issues of women safety. I live in noida,here women employees do their work late night and they go safely home in night without any hegitation. but otherside india has also some illegal migration issues of neighbours countries like bangladesh etc ,these illegal people did crime against women most of the time and change their place. so bluntly saying India is not safe for woman ,entirely wrong .
