Conan, thank you so much for the David Byrne interview. Ever since Talking Heads burst on the scene in the 70's they stood alone as innovative, talented, entertaining and inspiring. More than anything, they evolved and never sold out. I love David Byrne for his amazing talent, sense of humor and insight. Please have him back soon. He's totally cool in every sense of the word. ❤
Remembering the insane press and excitement surrounding, "Oh, Hello!", and hearing it recalled like an ephemeral memory haphazardly put together is surreal. Too much tuna indeed.
One of the most enjoyable interviews; I could listen to their talks for hours. Two guys who achieved so much in their respective fields, it's fascinating to hear their thoughts- including John Mulaney!
Totally agree about laughing at your own jokes. I think the strategy of classic funk bands is similar; if you have enough people on stage, it's GONNA be a party regardless of the room
@@handsomejonny6211what do mean? About him being not thankful at the time alone or has John never shown gratitude since? Is there a source for this? (To clarify, I don’t care much for modern Mulaney so I’m not trying to defend or excuse him)
David's so changed from that introverted (offstage) guy in the '80s who admits he had problems with communication, even with his own band back then. He's so relaxed now, laughs easily, and seems to enjoy talking to others now.
I just finished reading about David and found out he believes he's on the autistic spectrum, and that affected his communication skills while aiding his music in the past. Well that explains that...
Out of the mouths of "seasoned" talk show hosts; "On the night in which I come" would make a catchy title for a show aimed at people over 60. 😂 Conan, you are the salve for my soul when I miss Johnny Carson.
id almost like a side bet that dallas comes back to tie at least .. if not win it all... it create a narrative the nba would like... and we all know they want as many games as possible
Well they’re talking specifically about John and if you had actually paid attention you would have heard him say “John Mulaney and Nick Kroll” within the first 45 seconds of the video
@@Pumpkinking64 the title and the thumbnail say that because they are very clearly talking about John mulaney and then oh hello gets mentioned. But the topic was clearly John Mulaney
"Conan and David Byrne talk about Too Much Tuna" is EXACTLY the kind of content I crave.
That is entirely too much tuna
Oh hello
"I'm delighted with myself at this moment and I don't care that none of you are"
Man, That might be one of my favorite things Conan has ever said.
sums up Conan’s sense of humor 100 💯 😂 a true student of that Norm guy
I love how to Conan, the person in the audience they bring up is "a stooge" and to David Byrne it's "a ringer".
I wish this was a weekly interview. Could listen to hours and hours of this combo!
I could not.

6:25 this is highly wholesome/relatable
Sometimes laughing at your own joke is the thing that makes it funny to everyone else 😂

Watching Oh Hello on RUclips helped get me through the pandemic. Especially the John Oliver Q and A.
I have a friend who says I laugh so hard at my own jokes. So true. Sometimes I wish I could high-five myself😂
I was so lucky to see Utopia and it honestly was extraordinary. I can't wait to see his new creation! So brillant.
This interview is so intriguing. Conan, you are always hilarious.
oh yes the ol Nick Hold
Loved it!❤
7:27 David's concern that Conan really expects this lol
i love it when conan cracks himself up.

KROLLLL
So sad i never got to see oh hello
While there is a big difference between seeing a live show and adapting said performance for TV.. they do have one on Netflix. It is still very funny.
@@alebubu101there really isn’t in this case. The one on Netflix is basically exactly the same
Nick is still upset about the intervention, I guess John wasn't exactly thankful at the time.

They have tons of clips on RUclips
John mulaney is the greatest!!
Don't see David doing media much. Conan is privileged.
I see him on talk shows/panels all the time so I have the complete opposite impression
He’s on a big media tour for the re release of stop making sense!

can someone explain how david's glasses are being held by his blouse? i can't tell.
There's a pocket they're hooked into.
I think it's a tuxedo shirt.
Nick hooolee?? Ha
John Mulanley is the Andy Kaufman of the early 21st century.🤷✌️
John and Nick must have suffered from tapeworms after eating all that raw fish.
Canned tuna isn't raw.
Fun fact: Kroll is actually allergic to tuna.
Bill Hader don't laugh at your own jokes.
Lol he forgot Nick’s last name
Nick Koll.
you have to have fun to be funny
John Mulaney's? Isnt it Nick Kroll's as well?

@Butterratbee again. I know. Still, an extremely odd choice to refer to it as such.
@@Pumpkinking64 it’s really not
CONANAS
Henceforth, Nick Kroll will be known as Nick...hole?
i think he said Cole

What?
241st!

When did men start saying they “adore” other men?
At some point during the fifteenth century, and seeming to peak around 1800.
When they're not concerned what other "men" might think
Adore: "Love and respect (someone) deeply."
It's unfortunate you can't feel that way for men.
When they started adoring other men, Id say. Whats the issue?
