I appreciate this video; I see people trashing Valkyr on subreddit occasionally, and I think it's pretty unwarranted. Yeah, two of her abilities are trash, and only even remotely worth using if you have Augments for them equipped. But she: deals crazy damage, is practically immortal, is very fast at getting through missions, and has great kills-per-second outside of levelcap runs. I run Valkyr very similar to how you show here. The big difference between my main Valkyr loadout and what you're showing here is that I rely on Diriga for status priming and forcing health orb drops for Equilibrium. Diriga priming enemies lets me run Condition Overload instead of Primed Pressure Point, and because the damage is already insane and enemies get Viral procs from Diriga I use Spring-loaded Blade instead of Vicious Frost.
nodders. valk is definitely underrated in my book, lightning fast + bonkers damage + literally invincible + needs no weapons is a nasty combo. every time I roll her in Circuit/EDA it's like going on easy mode. and I like your customizations! I prefer to make my builds companion-agnostic where possible, as "can't run smeeta" is a point against any frame in my book, and circuit exists, but that looks like a very good min/max to me. and good point about Spring-loaded, I should probably use that more often given I tend to already be satisfied with the damage tbh. thx for chiming in, homie :)
I think you spoke to why so many people dislike her. Two abilities, or half of her kit, are literally useless. The most useful thing I’ve seen them for is that golfing mini game Kengineer did 😂. You can use subsumes of course, but her base kit is so unattractive for so many people that they hate on her. On top of that unless you use the playstyle shown in the video you aren’t maximizing her, so another knock against her. She’s an extremely niche frame, which is weird considering how strong she is, but it’s just bc of how her kit functions
For spending less forma since Valkyr Prime is stacked with V polarties, you can go primed continuity over streamline and a maxed fleeting expertise while still reaching the minimum drain on Hysteria
Good video, although personally I wouldn't put Gladiator mods on the Warframe build, only on your in-hand melee. With just Sacrificial Steel on your talons for crit chance, and 3 Gladiator mods on your in-hand melee weapon (Gladiator Rush, Gladiator Might, Gladiator Vice) and your Talons can easily reach red crits with exclamation points when you build your combo up. In fact you can even just use True Steel on your Talons and they will get pretty consistent orange and red crits at full combo. IMO for the Warframe build, ability strength is much better to invest into. It makes Warcry incredibly effective for attack speed which inadvertently increases your DPS and makes your talons hit like a truck, you can even use Molt Augmented for strength if desired because it's really easy to stack quickly as Valkyr. Also more strength for Warcry allows you to take off Quickening on your Talons in favor of Gladiator Rush for more crit multiplier damage. You could even experiment with something like Precision Intensify if you don't want to run Blind Rage or Transient Fortitude, but personally I run 313% strength with negative efficiency, and with Nourish I don't have too much trouble with energy, and Equilibrium is also a must have for energy sustain. Nourish is obviously a bit boring and way overused but it's definitely one of the best for Valkyr as a consistent energy source and viral application without having to switch to your primer too often. Also for armor strip I would not recommend a helminth ability, personally I find abilities like Tharros Strike and Terrify to be a bit clunky for Valkyr. Silence is a better option for CC than terrify for Valkyr, as it doesn't interrupt her gameplay flow and is a good way to deal with Violence in steel path. And for single-target armor strip I feel like there are 2 standout options, either use the Caustic Strike from the Unairu school or Helios Prime with Deconstructor Prime which can equip the mod Shattering Impact and armor strip enemies while also applying Heat and Corrosive status. Also her heavy attacks are actually really strong and quite comparable to her slide attacks in terms of strength, especially with Tennokai. Personally I am most fond of Opportunity's Reach because the extended Tennokai window is really forgiving and the extra range is never a bad thing.
If you hit escape and quickly open the nightwave window and then close it and go back to the game, it will make all acolytes spawn almost instantly. Just wait until you hear the sound that they're coming to do it.
oooh, now these are some spicy tips. I vaguely recall hearing about these tricks before but never tried them...definitely gonna have to internalize those. thx homies :)

Most people sleep on this: In my experience if you want Hysteria to deal damage, don't use roar or eclipse or wrathful advance. Try savage silence! Barely anybody talks about this but it is super effective both offensively and defensively.
My Hysteria is dealing enough damages already, I consider remove roar to something else as it seems overkill but Silence is great with Range where Valkyr builds tend to have pretty low. Maybe I will do some test, but thanks for the input.
As a Valkyr Main, I am glad to know that I am playing her as intended, when I first got her I immediately knew her whole play style should be centered around Hysteria and how the slide attack is the only way to go.

Mistake #4 not summoning and unsuomming an archgun before activating Hysteria to gain total immunity to infested disruptors oneshotting your energy while in Hysteria.
As a fellow Valkyr main thats been min/maxing her in the last few weeks, thanks to Arcane Battery you can actually comfortably dump efficiency on Valkyr now. Steel Charge - Power Drift - Blind Rage - Transient - Umbral Intensify - Primed Cont - Equilibrium - Eternal War - Health Conversion - Flex Slot (Stretch on mine) Arcane Fury - Arcane Battery 127% Dur, 45% Eff, 145% Rng, 313% Str 5 x Violet crit damage shards At 313 strength, Warcry provides a 157% Bonus to speed and armor. The Neutral range means Ripline can actually be comfortably used for a bit of added mobility on any map, and any helminth that uses it is actually quite useful. Hysteria prevents taking damage, so the armor bonus from Health Conversion is permanently active. Armor reaches 2,085 before Warcrys bonus. With Warcry active, energy pool reaches 1195, more than enough cushion to make sure you stay in Hysteria, AND keep the Violet archon shard bonuses permanently active, and given that youre invulnerable to all damage, casting speed is frankly irrelevant, so yay for 4 or 5 violet shards!! The damage you output alone with the spin-to-win is actually plenty to get you close to level cap with little issue so Terrify is honestly kind of pointless for the most part, but still extremely usable. Lycaths Hunt is incredible for sustain especially if you pair up with a priming Hound or Diriga (Both excellent uses, and both can use Seismic Bond for a free 30% efficiency back, Gloom for the slow and adds some team support, Roar obviously, Silence is extremely useful especially where Acolytes are concerned (FCUK YOU, VIOLENCE!), Nourish, Wrathful Advance, all great options. You could even, as there is a flex slot and neutral range, even Helminth off Ripline, keep Paralysis and use its augment for grouping! The only issues she faces is energy to start (Pizza is all you need) Violence with his Silence, or bumbling into Nullifiers (though with Primed reach and such fast attack speed, the spin-to-win takes them down before i bumble into them anyway) Valkyr has always been one of my favourites, and was my go to for Sorties 5/6 years ago. Love that she got some indirect love with Arcane Battery coming into game. Now if only theyd actually give a little touch up to Ripline, Paralysis and Passive.
Very well put, and also good build synergy, I run mine similar, and use Glad Aegis in flex slot for more damage for my claws and to always be above 500 energy minimum. My thoughts for her touch up: Change Ripline to be a tap/hold. TAP for parkour use and to pull yourself to anything aimed at, even enemies, so it can also be a gap closer. Should also give 15% movement speed buff per combo, up to 45% at 3x, for 15s maybe. HOLD to launch 5 claws of Riplines in a psuedo net, for a short range grouping ability, and to pull enemies to yourself. Also, I think they should swap the slow from her 2 and the stun from her 3. The stun opens enemies up to finishers, and would synergize better with Warcry as most don’t like to recast it anyways. This would also make her 3 a short range, recastable slow debuff, like a very short range version of M prime from Nova. This would give Valk a little better CC, and would at least give her 3 some uses as a recastable slow. Her passive is great as is, the knockdown recovery may not matter to vets who only ever crutch on Primed sure footed, but even then she is also completely immune to landings from tall heights, which primed sure footed does NOT cover. (Meaning, it benefits both vets with PSF and newer players without it) Her passive is also great for the vast majority of players who aren’t lucky enough to own PSF yet from logins.

@@Malurth i sometimes miss that meta but also glad its over was getting kinda old seeing 4 warframes kill entire maps while doing that goofy slide attack.
I prefer regular melee Valkyr because you can build her braindead tanky for most content, so invincibility isn't exactly needed. Then you get like 2+ free Primed Furys from War Cry permanently, can Helminth on another damage buff and utilize Arcanes, which imo pushes regular melee far beyond all exalteds. Hysteria slide is still nice for Acolytes or similarly annoying enemies.
eh...the only thing Valk has going for her as a melee platform really is access to un-nerfed innate Warcry, but helminth warcry still does the trick just fine. imo don't think it's worth picking an entire frame just for a Warcry buff (especially when you'll need nerfed Roar helminth for Melee Influence builds anyway; at that point would rather pick Rhino in the first place, or Kullervo or something cuz his kit is better than un-nerfed Warcry). but I mean if it works for you and it's fun then do what you want :p
@@Malurth It''s not only Warcry, although it is almost twice as good on Valkyr than anyone else, but she is also one of the best health tanks in the game. Rhinos survivability is a lot more involved and I don't like that personally. Also most people forget Valkyr has 2 more free mod slots, because she has inbuilt Handspring and Kavat's Grace. That makes her super smooth to play and she tears up Steel Path as well, so I can't complain about my "wrong" playstyle. 😜

I just discounted the health tank part because you can just subsume warcry onto anyone. years ago I used to play a lot of warcry Inaros. but that was before Roar became so key to melee builds thanks to melee influence, so I suppose her ability to use warcry + roar is unique (outside of Rhino as mentioned), and she's tanky enough to make use of it as a weapons platform... even still, talons are cracked and perma-invincibility is right there. just seems like a waste to not take full advantage of it. there are plenty of good weapons platforms in the game, but only one Hysteria user, after all. but yeah honestly that one was more of an opinionated take than a build/play mistake, unlike the other 2 points. you've successfully answered my "why would you even" with "I want roar + warcry and I would prefer ez health tanking over iron skin management," which certainly seems like a valid use case to me, albeit not one I would use. so until they nerf melee influence I'll give that take a thumbs up 👍 (tho I wouldn't quite count inbuilt handspring/kavat's grace as 2 free mod slots, cuz there's no universe where I slot either of those mods into my build, much less at the same time :p)
@@Malurth Since you can only ever subsume half a Warcry it's usually not worth doing that over other options imo. I have 6 Inaros loadouts and none of them is Warcry. And yes Warcry/Roar/Influence is a very potent combo because of the double dipping, but it's not even mandatory. Other options I use are Gloom for passive CC and lol-lifesteal and Savage Silence for shutting down anything remotely threatening and 700% Stealth damage bonus. That's isn't to say perma-Hysteria doesn't kick ass, the only thing keeping me from that setup is the reliance on a macro. I mean I do use macros, but I don't have an accessible button for Slide Spam that's only relevant for one build. 😅 And yes the 2 free mods don't count fully, but you get used to the Kavat's Grace real quick as a Valkyr main and you notive it whenever you switch frames. 😁
well, it's 60% of a Warcry, not 50%. currently I agree it's generally not worth the subsume but that's just cuz there are better picks (roar, nourish for rhino). and melee influence also gets triple dips from influence-sourced DoTs, aka the electricity that is mandatory to trigger it in the first place. getting a roar buff on that damage, but *cubed,* is a pretty big deal. gloom doesn't make much sense to me - at that point you should definitely be using Hysteria or a different frame imo; silence seems like a solid utility pick tho (esp to prevent Violence from being a problem). I guess if you're married to full strength warcry and refuse to use a slide macro you could use a gloom build, but that's a bridge too far in my book

@@Malurththis is true, however Valkyr’s heavy attack, and Tennokai, are an instant slam attack. So things like a Nira mod in the Exilus, multiplicatively boost Heavy attack damage. (I see a lot of 100-500mil hits from Tennokai attacks with just a single Nira mod in Exilus slot 😂)
You're right on a lot of things, some things maybe not. But one thing you are certainly right about is that her slide attack is what you need to use for best damage. You're right about the range stat, unless you're using a subsume that needs range, you should dump range for duration on roar or whatever buff timers you have. Locking yourself into a hysteria-only build is a playstyle choice; it's the most effective valkyr-specific build, but sometimes you may want different, more engaging gameplay than fucking memeing strike in 2024 💀
Hysteria was never intended for 100% uptime, which is why they kept nerfing it 100 times and it was one of the first abilities to get 2 different augments where one wasn't just a conclave aug. Enraged is the gameplay they wanted players to see in Hysteria - using it as an unsustainable burst-recovery phase. As far as I'm concerned, it's 50/50 on whether or not 100% uptime Hysteria is going to be encouraged or discouraged whenever she gets looked at again. Rebb & Pablo definitely lean more on the player power side of things than Steve 'n' Scott did. The fact that I can get 30 seconds of invuln with Dagath is proof of this.
@oriondezagrats4228 bro Valkyr is so insanely outdated at this point that they can't nerf her. Her 1 and 3 are literally useless. If anything happens to her it will be a buff. Other frames have stronger forms of defence and stronger forms of offence, so permanent hysteria is far from a problem. Sure when she was released it would have been unfair, but in this day and age, hysteria is nothing impressive.
@@starstreakalex7372 Every time I imagine a Valkyr rework, I just imagine them adding like... bootleg gladiator to her passive -- +10% crit and status chance per extra combo level, alongside an innate +6s combo duration. I imagine them making Ripline a cone-grab like Embrace or Pull, maybe with forced puncture procs or something for the extra +25% crit chance. I imagine them making Paralysis have an ai-pause on it for a few seconds, like what you'd do in simulacrum. That said, I just find Hysteria in its current iteration to be... kind of dull. I really prefer to use it as a burst/recovery phase over just "go invuln forever, maiming strike forever." Especially given that Valkyr is one of the naturally tankiest frames in the game. And also contender #1 for mecha mod set shenanigans.
@starstreakalex7372 to me a valkyr rework would involve something with overgaurd + defense strip. Her 3 being the strip, and the kills that you get from her 2 might give you overguard similar to the melee overguard decree from duviri. Just scales depending on kills+strength. Her 1 should really have 2 options, I would rather zip TOO the enemies then have them zip to me. Maybe have a tap vs hold function? She definitely needs a rework to hysteria as a stance. The attacks are just way too unbalanced. They don't need to nerf the slide very heavily, just buff the other combos and automatically she becomes more viable outside of slide spam. As her motif of being a hunter she should be rewarded like voruna for her playstyle. The only reward right now is just perma invulnerability. She's fun, just outdated as someone said
@@dmajorray6154 Everything is overguard and defence strip now, though. Up until Qorvex, she was THE armour tank. Honestly, instead of just turning everything into overguard, I'd prefer they just give health/armour setups some kind of scalability, like making it so that enemies can only do so much health damage in a single hit or something based on armour values.
Very nice coverage. Something I feel was left out though: Silence is super strong on Her. It stops her 4th from being canceled by Acoyltes, but also her Slide attack gains damage bonus from Savage silence to stunned enemies, which is a ridiculous damage boost for that attack.
@@Malurth yes and no. It’s odd, but the Sliding attack is counted as a standing finisher in the game coding, to “unaware” enemies. This is also why the first hit from Melees give a stealth Damage bonus, only on the first hit on an unaware enemy (all initial melee hits are counted under a standing finisher bonus to an unaware enemy) Silence stagger, forces enemies into a temporary unaware state, making the first hits of all Slide attacks get the multiplicative Savage silence augment finisher damage bonus.

nvm I tested it (ruclips.net/video/LqMHULTxmek/видео.html) and it doesn't seem to really do anything, regardless of whether AI is toggled or not. only time I got bigger damage numbers were on headshots.
@@Malurth yeah, the stealth multiplier testing is a lot more buggy and inconsistent in the simulacrum. Easier to see it in actual quests, and is hard to see due to the movement of the slide attack, but will still get a lot of extra random larger than usual numbers, because of the number of hits in Slide attack as well
This is pretty much how i play valkyr. Slide attack gladiator lawnmower. If you are worried about macros. Just use steam overlay, bind CTRL+E to some button on your controller or keyboard. Set it to turbo. Mow to your hearts content. I dont think a steam function can be banned by DE. Now it aint easy to move like that, with fast attack speed buffs you will kinda move about as fast as a medium modded gauss with hes dash. How ever you have insane turning speed. I can do it pretty well with a controller. Thats like how i move pretty much, just sometimes bulletjump to a higher elevation. I would mostly clear all normal missions with the most damage and be first at extration, lmao. Also recently i found out that Proton Snap gives her 50% FLAT Status chance after wall latching a few sec. Archon Continuity gives Talons Toxin and Corrosive. Nourish gives viral. So you get all the more powerful status effects at once. Lastly using Nourish pretty much guarantees infinite hysteria very easily, as long as there are enemies to kill. With this build, stacked out. It will for sure 1 hit any steel path mob, no matter their stats.
@@zacfletcher6589 the older steam BPM overlay was nice. I think it was mostly for controller. I didnt pretty much ever play WF on KBM. It was known as a multi-select binding. You would open the binding, have a "virtual keyboard" pop up and then hit Triangle/Y to go to multiselect mode. Then highlight multiple keys. That was the old way. As for the new maybe you can chain bindings together. Like put Ctrl on LB then add another binding connected to that. There is actually multiple ways to do combo bindings in steam input. Its quite complicated. I learned most of the stuff from RableCan iirc. I think he showed the nuclear theory with steam input. However that might be outdated since i dont think he much touches the newer steam overlay. So you will need to find some tutorials explaining, how the convoluted multiple menu newer Steam input works.
@Rhodynit it does have to be huge boosts more so like qol like Excal can equip different sword stances like dual wield, nikanas or two handed sword stances altering exalted blade, it's kinda weird umbra's main weapon is a nikana and prime is a skana
I build my valkyr to spam paralysis at 200+ range with the augment. Her 2 becomes cc since it slows everything down and 1 gets to yank me across the map. Her 4 suffers, but I don't like hysteria's stance anyways so that's fine.
Nice video I have a question you addressed it in the video but still confused since I watch several build videos n they say the similar thing you said about building gladiator mods on weapon n how its not needed on talons but they still slot gladiator mod so im confused is there an interaction that happens that I’m not aware of or is it just really useless if its already on the statsick
gladiator mods don't apply their bonus at all when equipped directly to the exalted melee weapon. so you have to equip them on your regular weapon instead. but once you do that they work fine.
ok thanks just wanted confirmation since I’ve seen several videos and they say the exact same thing but they end up running 3 gladiator mods on weapon n 1 on exalted weapon so it was confusing me
@@heavenlydemon3304 usually the 1 mod on exalted is used just because the mod itself is good. might gives +60% crit dmg and vice gives +30% attack speed, both of which can be worth considering (usually might)

thanks! and yeah I've considered it, but since it gives +45% flat, and her talons' base CC is 50%, one gladiator mod increases her final CC by +60%, beating avenger outright. if you used avenger + fury you'd have no room for Battery and thus would be forced to slot Flow instead of a gladiator mod, so the comparison is apt. and even if it gave a ton of crit, corrosive projection by itself is a 1.85x damage mult to armor capped targets. that's gonna outshine a combat discipline setup any day, assuming you're facing any armored enemies.
I'm okay with everything excepted the talon build. Why even putting attack speed while war cry exist? any attack speed mod on the talon = useless, quickening can be remplaced by a gladiator mod.
Isn't eclipse just better than roar on Valkyr now? Lower cost, faster casting speed, stacks with faction mods, etc... There is a slightly shorter duration but it's not very noticeable imo
good point...if you're not using CO eclipse provides a roughly identical dmg boost to roar, only difference being eclipse would be noticeably better when using a faction mod, and Roar amps the slash DoTs more (though that is pretty negligible with Valkyr). since I don't bother using faction mods and I would prefer a +20% dur boost over those other perks I'd still go for Roar, but at that point it's user preference, yea.
I wonder though. Will you make a Warframe video of: 'Your Playing Revenant wrong.' Cause I just got Revenant Prime and I am kinda bad with him. Not that I am bad. I just feel like I don't know how he works half of the time. I have heard lots of players told me that I need to focus on Energy and others tell me to solely focus on Ability Strength so I can handle enemies with ease. I wanna have fun all while being able to kill my enemies in Warframe.
heh, I think most players are building/playing rev mostly right. but I kinda want to just make a vid on every frame at this point and I use Rev a lot so I'll probably get around to him eventually :3 as for energy vs strength, you just need to build enough energy economy to cast mesmer skin + his helminth ability freely, and after that start stacking Strength like a madman. my build is mostly just a ton of strength stacking.
Why so little strength and so much efficiency, you can run enough duration to still reduce energy drain of valkyrs 4 without sacrifing any real stat benefit, higher strength also opens up talons attack speed making a slot be more flexible. The duration also makes it so you have to cast buffs alot less often so even expensive ones, i feel like you are overcomiting to the "100% uptime"
Honestly, they should just give Hysteria new stances/rework the current one or just rework how Hysteria works or just the whole frame 🤷♂️ It always felt like their intent wasn't for 100% Hysteria uptime. So her most straightforward playstyle being a 100% uptime Hysteria build is a bit of a weird state of affairs. So it's almost like a design failure I guess. At least it's def anti-fun. Maiming strike in 2024 is not something people wanna play 💀 (Going back to the whole 100% uptime intent, always thought their original idea was to have Valkyr sorta have a rest period in between rages. Which is why I described it as a design failure. If she came out today as a new frame her while concept probably would've been executed a hundred times better.)
avoid and and slide attack around the sides till the bubble disappears. alternately whip out the gat and blam blam, you'll be ok to drop invuln for a sec thanks to shield gating

Does fleeting expertise not make the buff equate to 0? Cuz her last moves scales from both efficiency and duration so wouldn’t that be a waste of a mod slot?
nah drains just multiply by both stats (cost = base cost * (1/dur) * (2 - efficiency), to be specific), if you're over 100% duration and have 175% efficiency you'll be efficiency capped. fleeting takes us from 172% -> 122% dur so it's still capped. by comparison you would need 400% dur to reach drain cap with 100% efficiency; each % for efficiency is worth more than +dur. also duration has no effect on the instant up-front cost of every ability. you could certainly argue in favor of just replacing it with a primed cont (on the non-terrify builds, that one already uses one and has higher energy demands anyway), as that gets you near efficiency cap on drains with a streamline; drains will only cost 30.77% as much, and the cap is 25%. either way is good. you're trading comfier buff durations for energy economy, if you think her energy economy is overkill in this build feel free to replace some with more duration. I think the main reason I didn't want to do that is just because it commits to another Y forma, but I'm also just happy with a more foolproof energy economy and the durs that I have.
Valkyr is my BAE and I have beat every single content on WF with her hahaha. On my end, I built her around her second and disgusting melee damage. Paired with gloom, and incarnon dual ichor = gg to any enemy, including steel path necramechs hahaha
I appreciate the information in the video. **However** "If you are not doing slide attack spam, you are playing her wrong." And... "If you are not using a macro, then go play a different frame." Are terrible advice in my opinion. It does not work for console players. Additionally, yes the slide attack is strong, but it is not fun using the same attack over and over. It would like fully equipping your self for battle and only ever using the dagger. These issues alone make this a video I can't recommend to others.
that advice actually applies perfectly well to console players. until the devs change how Hysteria works, you should simply pick a different frame imo. it sucks, but that's just how it is. this is why I was hesitant to make this vid in the first place, cuz that's a pretty BM conclusion, but there's pretty much no denying that slide attack spam is objectively the most effective way to make use of her Hysteria, and slightly more subjectively, that Hysteria is where it's at with her. you can play her without Hysteria slide attack spam and make it work, but you won't find support for those builds here, because I don't use them and I never will (I have better options).

As a Valkyr main i clicked immediately on a side note why tf are you using fleeting expertise efficiency and duration do the same thing for channeled abilities meaning that mod is literally doing nothing for your energy economy. rant over
wrong. you need +300% dur to reach drain efficiency cap, and only +75% efficiency to reach drain efficiency cap. each point towards efficiency matters far more for drain than each point for duration. and efficiency also affects the initial cast cost of all her abilities, whereas dur does nothing.

Valkyr being hysteria only is a boring and not her only playstyle and its outdated and outclassed by any melee weapon some not even incarnon people dont build her for hysteria due to the limitations. Health armor then go wild you dont need to be a valkyr hysteria I could call you out on removing paralysis as its so high finisher damage its all personal playstyles. And yes Hysteria honestly sucks due to lack of arcane slot in it why bother when any melee weapon can hit enemies 12 tilesets away on a tennokai proc from electricity.
it's her only playstyle worth using. why waste mod slots on survivability when she can be literally invincible? yeah other weapons can use melee influence but there are a bajillion much better weapon platforms in the game if you want to do that, they'll get you more damage on a more tanky frame. and paralysis is ass. finisher damage is wholly irrelevant when slide attacks delete enemies themselves.

I appreciate this video; I see people trashing Valkyr on subreddit occasionally, and I think it's pretty unwarranted. Yeah, two of her abilities are trash, and only even remotely worth using if you have Augments for them equipped. But she: deals crazy damage, is practically immortal, is very fast at getting through missions, and has great kills-per-second outside of levelcap runs.
I run Valkyr very similar to how you show here. The big difference between my main Valkyr loadout and what you're showing here is that I rely on Diriga for status priming and forcing health orb drops for Equilibrium. Diriga priming enemies lets me run Condition Overload instead of Primed Pressure Point, and because the damage is already insane and enemies get Viral procs from Diriga I use Spring-loaded Blade instead of Vicious Frost.
nodders. valk is definitely underrated in my book, lightning fast + bonkers damage + literally invincible + needs no weapons is a nasty combo. every time I roll her in Circuit/EDA it's like going on easy mode.
and I like your customizations! I prefer to make my builds companion-agnostic where possible, as "can't run smeeta" is a point against any frame in my book, and circuit exists, but that looks like a very good min/max to me. and good point about Spring-loaded, I should probably use that more often given I tend to already be satisfied with the damage tbh. thx for chiming in, homie :)
I think you spoke to why so many people dislike her. Two abilities, or half of her kit, are literally useless. The most useful thing I’ve seen them for is that golfing mini game Kengineer did 😂. You can use subsumes of course, but her base kit is so unattractive for so many people that they hate on her. On top of that unless you use the playstyle shown in the video you aren’t maximizing her, so another knock against her. She’s an extremely niche frame, which is weird considering how strong she is, but it’s just bc of how her kit functions

She's better than most people would want to admit but her biggest problem is how boring she is.
For spending less forma since Valkyr Prime is stacked with V polarties, you can go primed continuity over streamline and a maxed fleeting expertise while still reaching the minimum drain on Hysteria
Good video, although personally I wouldn't put Gladiator mods on the Warframe build, only on your in-hand melee. With just Sacrificial Steel on your talons for crit chance, and 3 Gladiator mods on your in-hand melee weapon (Gladiator Rush, Gladiator Might, Gladiator Vice) and your Talons can easily reach red crits with exclamation points when you build your combo up. In fact you can even just use True Steel on your Talons and they will get pretty consistent orange and red crits at full combo.
IMO for the Warframe build, ability strength is much better to invest into. It makes Warcry incredibly effective for attack speed which inadvertently increases your DPS and makes your talons hit like a truck, you can even use Molt Augmented for strength if desired because it's really easy to stack quickly as Valkyr. Also more strength for Warcry allows you to take off Quickening on your Talons in favor of Gladiator Rush for more crit multiplier damage. You could even experiment with something like Precision Intensify if you don't want to run Blind Rage or Transient Fortitude, but personally I run 313% strength with negative efficiency, and with Nourish I don't have too much trouble with energy, and Equilibrium is also a must have for energy sustain.
Nourish is obviously a bit boring and way overused but it's definitely one of the best for Valkyr as a consistent energy source and viral application without having to switch to your primer too often. Also for armor strip I would not recommend a helminth ability, personally I find abilities like Tharros Strike and Terrify to be a bit clunky for Valkyr. Silence is a better option for CC than terrify for Valkyr, as it doesn't interrupt her gameplay flow and is a good way to deal with Violence in steel path. And for single-target armor strip I feel like there are 2 standout options, either use the Caustic Strike from the Unairu school or Helios Prime with Deconstructor Prime which can equip the mod Shattering Impact and armor strip enemies while also applying Heat and Corrosive status.
Also her heavy attacks are actually really strong and quite comparable to her slide attacks in terms of strength, especially with Tennokai. Personally I am most fond of Opportunity's Reach because the extended Tennokai window is really forgiving and the extra range is never a bad thing.
If you hit escape and quickly open the nightwave window and then close it and go back to the game, it will make all acolytes spawn almost instantly. Just wait until you hear the sound that they're coming to do it.
This trick also works for open-world bounties, where it skips the npc dialogue and instantly gives you the waypoint to wherever u need to go
oooh, now these are some spicy tips. I vaguely recall hearing about these tricks before but never tried them...definitely gonna have to internalize those. thx homies :)

Most people sleep on this: In my experience if you want Hysteria to deal damage, don't use roar or eclipse or wrathful advance. Try savage silence! Barely anybody talks about this but it is super effective both offensively and defensively.
My Hysteria is dealing enough damages already, I consider remove roar to something else as it seems overkill but Silence is great with Range where Valkyr builds tend to have pretty low. Maybe I will do some test, but thanks for the input.
As a Valkyr Main, I am glad to know that I am playing her as intended, when I first got her I immediately knew her whole play style should be centered around Hysteria and how the slide attack is the only way to go.

Mistake #4 not summoning and unsuomming an archgun before activating Hysteria to gain total immunity to infested disruptors oneshotting your energy while in Hysteria.

At 313 strength, Warcry provides a 157% Bonus to speed and armor.
The Neutral range means Ripline can actually be comfortably used for a bit of added mobility on any map, and any helminth that uses it is actually quite useful.
Hysteria prevents taking damage, so the armor bonus from Health Conversion is permanently active. Armor reaches 2,085 before Warcrys bonus. With Warcry active, energy pool reaches 1195, more than enough cushion to make sure you stay in Hysteria, AND keep the Violet archon shard bonuses permanently active, and given that youre invulnerable to all damage, casting speed is frankly irrelevant, so yay for 4 or 5 violet shards!!
The damage you output alone with the spin-to-win is actually plenty to get you close to level cap with little issue so Terrify is honestly kind of pointless for the most part, but still extremely usable. Lycaths Hunt is incredible for sustain especially if you pair up with a priming Hound or Diriga (Both excellent uses, and both can use Seismic Bond for a free 30% efficiency back, Gloom for the slow and adds some team support, Roar obviously, Silence is extremely useful especially where Acolytes are concerned (FCUK YOU, VIOLENCE!), Nourish, Wrathful Advance, all great options. You could even, as there is a flex slot and neutral range, even Helminth off Ripline, keep Paralysis and use its augment for grouping! The only issues she faces is energy to start (Pizza is all you need) Violence with his Silence, or bumbling into Nullifiers (though with Primed reach and such fast attack speed, the spin-to-win takes them down before i bumble into them anyway)
Valkyr has always been one of my favourites, and was my go to for Sorties 5/6 years ago. Love that she got some indirect love with Arcane Battery coming into game. Now if only theyd actually give a little touch up to Ripline, Paralysis and Passive.
Very well put, and also good build synergy, I run mine similar, and use Glad Aegis in flex slot for more damage for my claws and to always be above 500 energy minimum.
My thoughts for her touch up:
Change Ripline to be a tap/hold.
TAP for parkour use and to pull yourself to anything aimed at, even enemies, so it can also be a gap closer. Should also give 15% movement speed buff per combo, up to 45% at 3x, for 15s maybe.
HOLD to launch 5 claws of Riplines in a psuedo net, for a short range grouping ability, and to pull enemies to yourself.
Also, I think they should swap the slow from her 2 and the stun from her 3.
The stun opens enemies up to finishers, and would synergize better with Warcry as most don’t like to recast it anyways.
This would also make her 3 a short range, recastable slow debuff, like a very short range version of M prime from Nova. This would give Valk a little better CC, and would at least give her 3 some uses as a recastable slow.
Her passive is great as is, the knockdown recovery may not matter to vets who only ever crutch on Primed sure footed, but even then she is also completely immune to landings from tall heights, which primed sure footed does NOT cover. (Meaning, it benefits both vets with PSF and newer players without it)
Her passive is also great for the vast majority of players who aren’t lucky enough to own PSF yet from logins.

I prefer regular melee Valkyr because you can build her braindead tanky for most content, so invincibility isn't exactly needed.
Then you get like 2+ free Primed Furys from War Cry permanently, can Helminth on another damage buff and utilize Arcanes, which imo pushes regular melee far beyond all exalteds.
Hysteria slide is still nice for Acolytes or similarly annoying enemies.
eh...the only thing Valk has going for her as a melee platform really is access to un-nerfed innate Warcry, but helminth warcry still does the trick just fine. imo don't think it's worth picking an entire frame just for a Warcry buff (especially when you'll need nerfed Roar helminth for Melee Influence builds anyway; at that point would rather pick Rhino in the first place, or Kullervo or something cuz his kit is better than un-nerfed Warcry). but I mean if it works for you and it's fun then do what you want :p
@@Malurth It''s not only Warcry, although it is almost twice as good on Valkyr than anyone else, but she is also one of the best health tanks in the game. Rhinos survivability is a lot more involved and I don't like that personally.
Also most people forget Valkyr has 2 more free mod slots, because she has inbuilt Handspring and Kavat's Grace. That makes her super smooth to play and she tears up Steel Path as well, so I can't complain about my "wrong" playstyle. 😜

I just discounted the health tank part because you can just subsume warcry onto anyone. years ago I used to play a lot of warcry Inaros. but that was before Roar became so key to melee builds thanks to melee influence, so I suppose her ability to use warcry + roar is unique (outside of Rhino as mentioned), and she's tanky enough to make use of it as a weapons platform...
even still, talons are cracked and perma-invincibility is right there. just seems like a waste to not take full advantage of it. there are plenty of good weapons platforms in the game, but only one Hysteria user, after all.
but yeah honestly that one was more of an opinionated take than a build/play mistake, unlike the other 2 points. you've successfully answered my "why would you even" with "I want roar + warcry and I would prefer ez health tanking over iron skin management," which certainly seems like a valid use case to me, albeit not one I would use. so until they nerf melee influence I'll give that take a thumbs up 👍
(tho I wouldn't quite count inbuilt handspring/kavat's grace as 2 free mod slots, cuz there's no universe where I slot either of those mods into my build, much less at the same time :p)
@@Malurth Since you can only ever subsume half a Warcry it's usually not worth doing that over other options imo. I have 6 Inaros loadouts and none of them is Warcry.
And yes Warcry/Roar/Influence is a very potent combo because of the double dipping, but it's not even mandatory. Other options I use are Gloom for passive CC and lol-lifesteal and Savage Silence for shutting down anything remotely threatening and 700% Stealth damage bonus.
That's isn't to say perma-Hysteria doesn't kick ass, the only thing keeping me from that setup is the reliance on a macro. I mean I do use macros, but I don't have an accessible button for Slide Spam that's only relevant for one build. 😅
And yes the 2 free mods don't count fully, but you get used to the Kavat's Grace real quick as a Valkyr main and you notive it whenever you switch frames. 😁
well, it's 60% of a Warcry, not 50%. currently I agree it's generally not worth the subsume but that's just cuz there are better picks (roar, nourish for rhino).
and melee influence also gets triple dips from influence-sourced DoTs, aka the electricity that is mandatory to trigger it in the first place. getting a roar buff on that damage, but *cubed,* is a pretty big deal.
gloom doesn't make much sense to me - at that point you should definitely be using Hysteria or a different frame imo; silence seems like a solid utility pick tho (esp to prevent Violence from being a problem). I guess if you're married to full strength warcry and refuse to use a slide macro you could use a gloom build, but that's a bridge too far in my book

So things like a Nira mod in the Exilus, multiplicatively boost Heavy attack damage. (I see a lot of 100-500mil hits from Tennokai attacks with just a single Nira mod in Exilus slot 😂)
You're right on a lot of things, some things maybe not. But one thing you are certainly right about is that her slide attack is what you need to use for best damage. You're right about the range stat, unless you're using a subsume that needs range, you should dump range for duration on roar or whatever buff timers you have.
Locking yourself into a hysteria-only build is a playstyle choice; it's the most effective valkyr-specific build, but sometimes you may want different, more engaging gameplay than fucking memeing strike in 2024 💀
Hysteria was never intended for 100% uptime, which is why they kept nerfing it 100 times and it was one of the first abilities to get 2 different augments where one wasn't just a conclave aug. Enraged is the gameplay they wanted players to see in Hysteria - using it as an unsustainable burst-recovery phase.
As far as I'm concerned, it's 50/50 on whether or not 100% uptime Hysteria is going to be encouraged or discouraged whenever she gets looked at again. Rebb & Pablo definitely lean more on the player power side of things than Steve 'n' Scott did. The fact that I can get 30 seconds of invuln with Dagath is proof of this.

Other frames have stronger forms of defence and stronger forms of offence, so permanent hysteria is far from a problem. Sure when she was released it would have been unfair, but in this day and age, hysteria is nothing impressive.
@@starstreakalex7372 Every time I imagine a Valkyr rework, I just imagine them adding like... bootleg gladiator to her passive -- +10% crit and status chance per extra combo level, alongside an innate +6s combo duration. I imagine them making Ripline a cone-grab like Embrace or Pull, maybe with forced puncture procs or something for the extra +25% crit chance. I imagine them making Paralysis have an ai-pause on it for a few seconds, like what you'd do in simulacrum.
That said, I just find Hysteria in its current iteration to be... kind of dull. I really prefer to use it as a burst/recovery phase over just "go invuln forever, maiming strike forever." Especially given that Valkyr is one of the naturally tankiest frames in the game. And also contender #1 for mecha mod set shenanigans.
@starstreakalex7372 to me a valkyr rework would involve something with overgaurd + defense strip. Her 3 being the strip, and the kills that you get from her 2 might give you overguard similar to the melee overguard decree from duviri. Just scales depending on kills+strength. Her 1 should really have 2 options, I would rather zip TOO the enemies then have them zip to me. Maybe have a tap vs hold function? She definitely needs a rework to hysteria as a stance. The attacks are just way too unbalanced. They don't need to nerf the slide very heavily, just buff the other combos and automatically she becomes more viable outside of slide spam. As her motif of being a hunter she should be rewarded like voruna for her playstyle. The only reward right now is just perma invulnerability. She's fun, just outdated as someone said
@@dmajorray6154 Everything is overguard and defence strip now, though. Up until Qorvex, she was THE armour tank. Honestly, instead of just turning everything into overguard, I'd prefer they just give health/armour setups some kind of scalability, like making it so that enemies can only do so much health damage in a single hit or something based on armour values.

Something I feel was left out though: Silence is super strong on Her.
It stops her 4th from being canceled by Acoyltes, but also her Slide attack gains damage bonus from Savage silence to stunned enemies, which is a ridiculous damage boost for that attack.
Savage Silence only affects finisher attacks. silence is solid tho yea
@@Malurth yes and no. It’s odd, but the Sliding attack is counted as a standing finisher in the game coding, to “unaware” enemies.
This is also why the first hit from Melees give a stealth Damage bonus, only on the first hit on an unaware enemy (all initial melee hits are counted under a standing finisher bonus to an unaware enemy)
Silence stagger, forces enemies into a temporary unaware state, making the first hits of all Slide attacks get the multiplicative Savage silence augment finisher damage bonus.

nvm I tested it (ruclips.net/video/LqMHULTxmek/видео.html) and it doesn't seem to really do anything, regardless of whether AI is toggled or not. only time I got bigger damage numbers were on headshots.
@@Malurth yeah, the stealth multiplier testing is a lot more buggy and inconsistent in the simulacrum.
Easier to see it in actual quests, and is hard to see due to the movement of the slide attack, but will still get a lot of extra random larger than usual numbers, because of the number of hits in Slide attack as well
This is pretty much how i play valkyr. Slide attack gladiator lawnmower. If you are worried about macros. Just use steam overlay, bind CTRL+E to some button on your controller or keyboard. Set it to turbo. Mow to your hearts content.
I dont think a steam function can be banned by DE.
Now it aint easy to move like that, with fast attack speed buffs you will kinda move about as fast as a medium modded gauss with hes dash. How ever you have insane turning speed.
I can do it pretty well with a controller. Thats like how i move pretty much, just sometimes bulletjump to a higher elevation.
I would mostly clear all normal missions with the most damage and be first at extration, lmao.
Also recently i found out that Proton Snap gives her 50% FLAT Status chance after wall latching a few sec.
Archon Continuity gives Talons Toxin and Corrosive. Nourish gives viral. So you get all the more powerful status effects at once.
Lastly using Nourish pretty much guarantees infinite hysteria very easily, as long as there are enemies to kill.
With this build, stacked out. It will for sure 1 hit any steel path mob, no matter their stats.

I didnt pretty much ever play WF on KBM.
It was known as a multi-select binding.
You would open the binding, have a "virtual keyboard" pop up and then hit Triangle/Y to go to multiselect mode. Then highlight multiple keys.
That was the old way.
As for the new maybe you can chain bindings together. Like put Ctrl on LB then add another binding connected to that.
There is actually multiple ways to do combo bindings in steam input.
Its quite complicated. I learned most of the stuff from RableCan iirc. I think he showed the nuclear theory with steam input.
However that might be outdated since i dont think he much touches the newer steam overlay. So you will need to find some tutorials explaining, how the convoluted multiple menu newer Steam input works.

I build my valkyr to spam paralysis at 200+ range with the augment. Her 2 becomes cc since it slows everything down and 1 gets to yank me across the map. Her 4 suffers, but I don't like hysteria's stance anyways so that's fine.
Nice video I have a question you addressed it in the video but still confused since I watch several build videos n they say the similar thing you said about building gladiator mods on weapon n how its not needed on talons but they still slot gladiator mod so im confused is there an interaction that happens that I’m not aware of or is it just really useless if its already on the statsick
gladiator mods don't apply their bonus at all when equipped directly to the exalted melee weapon. so you have to equip them on your regular weapon instead. but once you do that they work fine.

@@heavenlydemon3304 usually the 1 mod on exalted is used just because the mod itself is good. might gives +60% crit dmg and vice gives +30% attack speed, both of which can be worth considering (usually might)

Great video! Love the build variety valkyr has. Was wondering if you've tried a build with arcane avenger + Combat discipline since it still procs through her invincibility?
thanks! and yeah I've considered it, but since it gives +45% flat, and her talons' base CC is 50%, one gladiator mod increases her final CC by +60%, beating avenger outright. if you used avenger + fury you'd have no room for Battery and thus would be forced to slot Flow instead of a gladiator mod, so the comparison is apt.
and even if it gave a ton of crit, corrosive projection by itself is a 1.85x damage mult to armor capped targets. that's gonna outshine a combat discipline setup any day, assuming you're facing any armored enemies.

I'm okay with everything excepted the talon build. Why even putting attack speed while war cry exist? any attack speed mod on the talon = useless, quickening can be remplaced by a gladiator mod.
Isn't eclipse just better than roar on Valkyr now? Lower cost, faster casting speed, stacks with faction mods, etc... There is a slightly shorter duration but it's not very noticeable imo
good point...if you're not using CO eclipse provides a roughly identical dmg boost to roar, only difference being eclipse would be noticeably better when using a faction mod, and Roar amps the slash DoTs more (though that is pretty negligible with Valkyr). since I don't bother using faction mods and I would prefer a +20% dur boost over those other perks I'd still go for Roar, but at that point it's user preference, yea.

I wonder though. Will you make a Warframe video of: 'Your Playing Revenant wrong.' Cause I just got Revenant Prime and I am kinda bad with him. Not that I am bad. I just feel like I don't know how he works half of the time. I have heard lots of players told me that I need to focus on Energy and others tell me to solely focus on Ability Strength so I can handle enemies with ease. I wanna have fun all while being able to kill my enemies in Warframe.
heh, I think most players are building/playing rev mostly right. but I kinda want to just make a vid on every frame at this point and I use Rev a lot so I'll probably get around to him eventually :3
as for energy vs strength, you just need to build enough energy economy to cast mesmer skin + his helminth ability freely, and after that start stacking Strength like a madman. my build is mostly just a ton of strength stacking.

Why so little strength and so much efficiency, you can run enough duration to still reduce energy drain of valkyrs 4 without sacrifing any real stat benefit, higher strength also opens up talons attack speed making a slot be more flexible. The duration also makes it so you have to cast buffs alot less often so even expensive ones, i feel like you are overcomiting to the "100% uptime"

Honestly, they should just give Hysteria new stances/rework the current one or just rework how Hysteria works or just the whole frame 🤷♂️
It always felt like their intent wasn't for 100% Hysteria uptime. So her most straightforward playstyle being a 100% uptime Hysteria build is a bit of a weird state of affairs. So it's almost like a design failure I guess. At least it's def anti-fun. Maiming strike in 2024 is not something people wanna play 💀
(Going back to the whole 100% uptime intent, always thought their original idea was to have Valkyr sorta have a rest period in between rages. Which is why I described it as a design failure. If she came out today as a new frame her while concept probably would've been executed a hundred times better.)
how to deal with nullifier bubbles?
avoid and and slide attack around the sides till the bubble disappears. alternately whip out the gat and blam blam, you'll be ok to drop invuln for a sec thanks to shield gating

yea, if you wanna slide attack as fast as I do. it feels sluggish without them both to me. you can use arcane strike instead of one of those mods, but eh.

Does fleeting expertise not make the buff equate to 0? Cuz her last moves scales from both efficiency and duration so wouldn’t that be a waste of a mod slot?
nah drains just multiply by both stats (cost = base cost * (1/dur) * (2 - efficiency), to be specific), if you're over 100% duration and have 175% efficiency you'll be efficiency capped. fleeting takes us from 172% -> 122% dur so it's still capped. by comparison you would need 400% dur to reach drain cap with 100% efficiency; each % for efficiency is worth more than +dur. also duration has no effect on the instant up-front cost of every ability.
you could certainly argue in favor of just replacing it with a primed cont (on the non-terrify builds, that one already uses one and has higher energy demands anyway), as that gets you near efficiency cap on drains with a streamline; drains will only cost 30.77% as much, and the cap is 25%. either way is good. you're trading comfier buff durations for energy economy, if you think her energy economy is overkill in this build feel free to replace some with more duration.
I think the main reason I didn't want to do that is just because it commits to another Y forma, but I'm also just happy with a more foolproof energy economy and the durs that I have.
Valkyr is my BAE and I have beat every single content on WF with her hahaha. On my end, I built her around her second and disgusting melee damage. Paired with gloom, and incarnon dual ichor = gg to any enemy, including steel path necramechs hahaha

Are terrible advice in my opinion. It does not work for console players. Additionally, yes the slide attack is strong, but it is not fun using the same attack over and over. It would like fully equipping your self for battle and only ever using the dagger.
These issues alone make this a video I can't recommend to others.
that advice actually applies perfectly well to console players. until the devs change how Hysteria works, you should simply pick a different frame imo. it sucks, but that's just how it is. this is why I was hesitant to make this vid in the first place, cuz that's a pretty BM conclusion, but there's pretty much no denying that slide attack spam is objectively the most effective way to make use of her Hysteria, and slightly more subjectively, that Hysteria is where it's at with her.
you can play her without Hysteria slide attack spam and make it work, but you won't find support for those builds here, because I don't use them and I never will (I have better options).

nah. only if they're so sophisticated they're basically just bots. DE doesn't care about simple input spam macros. (tho technically all 3rd party software is 'use at your own risk,' even if that risk is negligible)

Gladiator mods are overrated. You rlly DON'T need to do that extra crit chance, especially if you're using faction mods

on a side note why tf are you using fleeting expertise efficiency and duration do the same thing for channeled abilities meaning that mod is literally doing nothing for your energy economy. rant over
wrong. you need +300% dur to reach drain efficiency cap, and only +75% efficiency to reach drain efficiency cap. each point towards efficiency matters far more for drain than each point for duration. and efficiency also affects the initial cast cost of all her abilities, whereas dur does nothing.

Instead of her 1 I use gloom. Pretty nice for me.
Valkyr being hysteria only is a boring and not her only playstyle and its outdated and outclassed by any melee weapon some not even incarnon people dont build her for hysteria due to the limitations. Health armor then go wild you dont need to be a valkyr hysteria I could call you out on removing paralysis as its so high finisher damage its all personal playstyles.
And yes Hysteria honestly sucks due to lack of arcane slot in it why bother when any melee weapon can hit enemies 12 tilesets away on a tennokai proc from electricity.
it's her only playstyle worth using.
why waste mod slots on survivability when she can be literally invincible? yeah other weapons can use melee influence but there are a bajillion much better weapon platforms in the game if you want to do that, they'll get you more damage on a more tanky frame.
and paralysis is ass. finisher damage is wholly irrelevant when slide attacks delete enemies themselves.
