    Does this boiler not modulate?
Also, this has a stainless teel heat exchanger?? Yet their higher end models have aluminium???

Hey Saad, yes, the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 1000 boiler does modulate. The installation manual for the Greenstar 1000 specifies that it features a "zero pressure governor gas valve with fully modulating fan". This means the boiler can adjust its burner flame size and heat output in response to changes in demand, which is essentially what modulation refers to. This capability allows the boiler to operate more efficiently by only using as much gas as needed to meet the heat demand at any given time.
It has a 1:5 Modulation Ratio: This means the boiler can adjust its output down to as low as 1/5 (20%) of its maximum capacity and up to its full capacity. For example, if it's a 30kW boiler, it can modulate down to 6kW.

Hello. I am looking to replace my boiler. Do you recommend Worchester Bosch 4000 or 1000, because I have met plenty of customers complaining about leaking issues( but this is for the past models ) ? The other option we have is Ideal , and the last is Baxi. Which one is the best.

We would always recommend Worcester Bosch - which one all depends on the size of your property. If you answer a few questions on our website we'll be able to give you a quote for one: heatable.co.uk/new-boilers/quote

Hey Michael, the CDi is a great boiler. We usually sell up to the 36kW (36CDi). However, if you're interested in buying the 42CDI ,we could actually get one of these installed for you. Feel free to e-mail us hello@heatable.co.uk or call our sales team who can get you a quote for this!

The only decent boiler Worcester Bosch makes is the 15kW 4000 series. It has a superb modulation ratio (down to 1.9kW) and can work with their weather compensation (average at best but better than nothing). The larger kW 4000 units cannot achieve this.
For the most efficient and capable boiler on the market, a Viessmann 200-W remains unbeatable.

Thanks for your feedback - interesting to hear your take on Worcester's Products. The 4000 is definitely on of the best but we'd have to disagree and say that the higher kW boilers (30kW for example) are just as good, if not better, especially for those in larger properties.

@@Heatable Larger properties = more heat loss. A 15kW 4000 series would be ideal for most semi-detached units/ flats/ or well insulated households which are unable to acquire a heat pump, but could benefit from the 1.9kW modulated, weather compensated output the smaller models can provide.
For larger properties, no product made by Bosch can compete with the V200.

ehh i just got this and the heating now doesnt wanna work although was setup fine and worked first day but if i dial up temp above room temp it and flame icon appears on neomitis still doesnt heat radiator now only thing that turns radiator on is that 5s button you can hold on the boiler itself but idk i get scared with that
override button on receiver seems to go orange but radiators dont get hot idk this is lame

Don't be fooled by this boiler. Just had it installed 2 days ago and I personally would not recommend it to anybody looking for a reliable product. I didn't choose it because of the price but rather the installers recommended it over the other greenstar models that I initially was leaning towards, like Greenstar 4000. Regardless, 10min after the installation the boiler is dripping water on the front-right corner and is thus loosing pressure. It isn't leaking at the pipe level but rather inside the boiler itself, which makes me think that QA wasn't done right.. Not only that but unlike any other boiler I've had before (And I had 3, including new and old products lilke Greenstar 4000, Vokera 25, Powermax 140), this one is buzzing like a bee. It creates vibrations that travel through the walls and can be now heard in the whole flat, which is extremely annoying. I am now seriously looking into replace this piece of crap and install something more reliable.

Attention low quality plastic parts inside.Unprognosable liftime high risk of leakage. When it happens in waranty time they replace the part but dont repair damaged appartment.
