He kind of is in a way, though. He's just a kid and trying to make money, which should be celebrated. He was potentially trespassing (undetermined whether walmart had a problem with him or if the cops did). The cops also did nothing to de-escalate either. They could've just told him to move along instead of immediate threaten to arrest him. Being arrested for selling flowers is one of the dumbest things those cops can do and then they immediately tack on 5 other crimes during the arrest. Some of those are justified because he resisted but at the same time, the cops made that situation.

No, they didn't. Nor are they obligated to de-escalate. They are not your parents. Individuals, such as yourself, are the cause of law enforcement's hampered effectiveness. You demand restraint from the police while failing to teach your children to behave in a manner befitting civilized society.

@@cvn6555 Again, I guarantee back in the day that no one went and got permission from the dozens of stores and malls we were parked in front of. Yes, we were part of a charity but AGAIN, this video didn't give me any info about what the kid was doing or where he came from - it just said he was selling flowers. Doesn't matter anyway since my very first comment said he immediately turned into a POS when confronted. You can let it go now.

He was asked repeatedly for an ID. He refused to present one. He never gave his age until after everything happened, including punching a cop. He did give the appearance of being older. At any point he could have told his age, but he chose to hide it until the cuffs were on. He F.A. & F.O.

Nope. There was no amount of talking that was getting that kid to stop breaking the law on private property. Cops were 100% right and justified. He had already been asked and ordered by store staff and then the cops to leave and responded with "eff you, I'm not leaving". He was told, in plain English, that he was about to be arrested and still refused. Sorry, but there is, right now, no law that states that you can fight the cops while they arrest you if you're black. Might be one somewhere soon, just in time for summer. But there isn't one now.

I think it's stupid for cities to require kids to get business licenses for something like this, he's not making food or whatever. But at the same time, this kid clearly has no father and also learned cops are afraid to stop bad behavior because of what the "city elders" then did directly after. If those race hustling frauds were genuinely concerned about black lives mattering, they'd ask why that kid showed such disrespect to begin with. The people over 50 who push this crap are such antisocial malcontents.
