- "The Bigger The Fool (The Harder The Fall" is the opening song to Larry Jon Wilson's 4th Monument release from 1979, "Sojourner".
Larry Jon Wilson, a Georgia-born singer/songwriter, cut four LPs in the second half of the 1970s: New Beginnings, Let Me Sing My Song To You, Loose Change, Sojourner.
Larry Jon Wilson still performs occasionally and cut two great songs for the album "The Country Soul Revue - Testifying", produced by Dan Penn.
Update:
The new "unplugged" cd "Larry Jon Wilson" has been released on 1965 Records in July 2008.
James Endeacott, proprietor of record label 1965:
We've just signed a guy who's 70 years old -- Larry John Wilson -- who was mates with Kris Kristofferson in the '70s. He's not made a record in 28 years and he's just made one for us, just him and a guitar recorded in a room overlooking a beach in Florida, and it's heartbreaking.

Legend would be an understatement. The man never sold out.
Our friend John Lott gave me the gut wrenching news this morning. God be with you and your family Brother.
I saw Larry play in London last night. Still amazing at 72. Great new songs and chats about Kristofferson. Everyone should get his new album.
A wonderful cover of this Kris Kristofferson song. Kris described Larry's voice " Line a cannonball.". I like that. LJW an unappreciated talent and a genuinely nice guy.
Missed by many but not forgotten.
