break down of the transcoding and how they push to the RTMP locations would be great. Who has the better overall quality from a technology standpoint. Features are just selling points, like pretty looking cake but does it taste good.
this is a pretty good video, thank you! i'm torn between just streaming in youtube vs using such as tool like streamyard to stream to all platforms.. some people say that you should give your audience the attention by only streaming in one platform instead of scatter shot, what do you think about this
In the words of The Little Mermaid: I wanna be where the people are.... :D For me, it's about streaming to platforms where people are at. Not everyone is on RUclips and Facebook at the same time. So for me, multistreaming is about showing up in all the places I feel they hang out.
I used eCamm Live to stream this video..it allows you to do picture-in-picture to have yourself in a circle, square or rectangle in the corner of the screen :)
Awesome. Glad I found you. I’m trying to learn Streamyard to start a couple of shows. One in true crime and one on local and state politics. But I’ve never live streamed. I’m kind of OCD and want it to look really professional and customized. Kind of like a real news show you’d see on CNN or MSNBC. I’m just nervous about the learning curve when first hitting “go live”. Lol
Sara, thank you so much for this comprehensive breakdown of the two platforms. As a non-profit org we want to make the best and most affordable decision as we plan our upcoming conference.
Sister, I have a difficulty. I am on free StreamYard. I am host. I invited one guest. I wish that I play a karaoke sound track on my PC (as a background audio) and my guest must sing alongwith that Karaoke sound track. Now when I selected and share my ENTIRE SCREEN the guest is able to listen my background music but when she sings along with it, she is listening her own voice also again (repeat of her every word). How to avoid this repeat of her voice. When I select CHROME TAB +ticked SHARE AUDIO + selected STREAMYARD, she is not able to listen my background karaoke audio track. What to do please? Anything to do with her side of Share-Screen-option?
Great review. Equally great production. What could have been included is the number of guests that can be invited and a price comparison. Otherwise great work, fantastic mission.
Hello thanks for your video, very informative, the biggest issue I have as a pastor of a small congregation who is streaming live multiple times a week is that I often share a PowerPoint presentation during our lives. Well these presentations usually have video. So if a video is on while I am presenting, I can not do anything on the platform because it automatically puases my video. So if I am presenting a video and I mute the mic so there is no interference with those actually at the church, the video will automatically pause. I have reached out to stream yard but they can not fix the issue. My question is does restream do this?
We wanted a firm one or the other. Loved your clip though. I just signed up and cancelled, within three hours, my account to StreamYard. Based on the clip stream quality. I was told, by a very nice support guy, that to get the best quality I needed to connect more directly to my router rather than wifi. But I can’t do that! So they refunded me. They needed to make that clearer before I signed up to the pro plan. So my question is. Does Restream have the same problem? ie you need to be close tongues router or better still connected to it. I don’t want to sign up and pay them and have the same problems.
Thank you for this video, one question I have is whether you can invite guests into your virtual studio to join prior to going live on either platform or do you have to be live in order to allow guests in?
Thanks so much for this Sara. Perfect timing for me. I just signed up for restream monthly, but I must say being on someone else's Streamyard Stream today I liked the look of it more. And as I'll be interviewing guests a lot for The Inner Game of Winning TV Show ~ For Athletes and High Performers I think I'll hop over to Streamyard and try a monthly subscription. BTW its awesome to hear an Aussie accent talking about all of this. Where are you based? I'm in Noosa Heads Qld. x
@@SaraNguyen Quick question... will Streamyard allow you to download just the audio like Zoom does? Aside from creating my online TV Show I plan to use the audio for a podcast.
@@kathrynorford You will be able to download the video file from Streamyard. With that video file you can strip out the audio file to then repurpose for your podcast.
Thanks... I have loved using Streamyard but lately the video quality has dropped, even when streaming to only two platforms, YT and FB. How does Streamyard video quality comapre to Restream? Reastream have that stream health monitor so I am guessing they are pretty transparent about the video quality being put out?
@@GentlemanStylePodcast your welcome! Just remember if your a smaller channel and you plan on posting to RUclips the video has to be rendered in 1440p 60fps or it will come out muddy & blurry when it gets to RUclips
@@SaraNguyen Thank you for that insight. So, when you record a video with a guest, which tool do you generally use for recording? It appears Streamyard maxes out at 1080 for live streams. For example, your video with Pete Johns seems to be 4k quality.
13:05 StreamYard now has a stereo audio option, even in free tier. Both now are running Black Friday sales and I can't quite decide who to go with atm.
Restream have a 7 day refund policy. I'd recommend grabbing the Black Friday deal (50% off lifetime...worth it!) and testing it out. If it doesn't work for you at least you can ask for the $ back as long as you do it within 7 days. They' have 24/7 support who are very responsive (support.restream.io/en/articles/760447-how-do-i-get-a-refund)

Yes you can.

Has streamyard caught up with analytics, stereo input, and any new updates to the 2023 experience that compete with restream?
Good question! Streamyard have definitely upped their game and match the same offering as Restream (in my opinion) plus some ❤️

For both Streamyard and Restream you can invite guest prior to going live. You can generate the link and they can come in before the broadcast starts.
