You start to understand why it was so incredible hearing Suisei singing Stellar Stellar in The First Take, it was breathtaking.
You literally can NOT go wrong with a Suisei song. She may use the phrase "diamond in the rough" as part of her introduction but she has worked hard and truly polished herself into a top tier priceless gem even among priceless gems. Everything about her just screams "elegance" and -"psychopath"- "beauty".
Even as a stalwart Hoshiyomi, I have to rebuke that a little bit; _comet_ is a song from her very early career and it reflects the fake cutesy air and voice she put on in order to fit into the "Japanese idol" stereotype (which she later dropped to much acclaim). It's a great bit of history but as a song on its own, it's...kinda painful.
Just a friendly reminder that *Houshou Marine's "Unison"* is one of the best (albeit rather unusual) Hololive songs out there. I hope you can react to it soon.
This and GHOST were my first intro to Suisei as a singer. I can even remember my thoughts when I first heard those songs 1st thought: Sound like an anime opening! 2nd thought: Heavenly vocals! 3rd thought: Those drums are wiiild! Really happy Hololive gave her a chance. If you haven't seen it, there's a video about Suisei's journey from being almost forgotten to one of the shining stars of Hololive.
I love the instrumental on The First Take version, the acoustic version is great as well, still the bombastic instrumental on the studio version is absolutely stunning. And Suisei can work with all of them, she's just amazing. Wildcard of the day: Kishido Temma from Holostars with his original song シューティングスター/Shooting Star. We really need some more Holostars here!
This song is a melodic and vocal masterpiece. Literally threw everything into the song, even the kitchen sink. All the small nuances was used to diversify the auditory stimuli. Late beat drops, orchestra backgrounds, the well-timed synths and even airplane taking off noises. (the metaphoric kitchen sink) Practically EVERYTHING.
Ever since I started watching Hololive members I never run out of fantastic music to listen. There is truly a member for everyone in Hololive and holostars. When Suisei appeared on The First Take to perform this song, I had been down the Hololive rabbit hole for about 6 months, and somehow I had never really checked out Suisei despite hearing about her amazing singing. Her First Take performance blew me away and made me realize, as she says in the song, the shooting star that she had become, having reached such an accomplishment. After that, I listened to the original version, and I became even more emotional with how stunning it was. This time, the line that stood out to me was at the end of the song: "The shooting star I have been all along." I discovered that Suisei hadn't only just become a great singer and accomplished idol. She always was a star, and I just didn't see it until then. I now consider myself a proud fan of her. Now, on a different note, I must recommend you check out Banzoin Hakka's new song Shattered Wings. He just released it for his birthday, and it's great hearing his voice in another original after Raven's Paradigm.

I want the studio recording (MV) of Towa's ERROR cover on this channel .The one we got to see and hear was a old karaoke or live recording . And is not as much fun to watch on repeat. Cause at the time of that recording Towa had some hardships to endure i didn't liked to be reminded of . And her latest 3D live performance of that song was close to perfect . I love The First Take version, but to me the music in this gives it so much, I highly recommend the breakdown of the music by Ravenclaw Reacts to understand the really cool stuff going on there, it's very interesting musically, even to somone without much music knowledge.
Evey time I listen to Stella Stella it just reminds me of how fantastic Suisei's singing is but also how talented the musicians are behind her (especially the drummer just going ham in the main verse)
After listening to the acoustical versions more the musical chaos in the original is blowing my mind again. I hope we get to see more Suisei in the future, reaching those lofty goals she has for herself.
It's finally time!!! Glad you finally got around to hearing the full instrumental of this one. I LOVE this video with the blend between real-life footage and her animated model flawlessly inserted into it. It's so good! It was so awesome hearing her do this live during HoloFes last year. Since I know Suisei is one of (if not your top) favorites and was one of your first Hololive members you were introduced to, from one Hoshiyomi (Suisei fan) to another, it's great having you in this rabbit hole dude. It's crazy that you've only been doing this for about 7 months or so. Definitely feels like it's been longer! I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend checking out Suisei's newly released MV, Planetarium. If you want a song that is very close to that same sort of atmosphere she gave in the First Take version of Stellar Stellar, you'll absolutely want to check that one out. 95% of the song is her voice. It's almost completely acapella save for a snare drum and some bass guitar from time to time, and it's a POWERFUL song. It's one of those songs that you put your headphones on, turn up the volume, close your eyes, and just get lost in it. I think you'll absolutely love it. I think it might be my favorite song from Suisei, even more so than Stellar Stellar and Michizure. Aside from Suisei, I mentioned this to you on Twitter as well when it came out but you should definitely check out Korone's new original song, Wonky Monkey. It's a bit more hip hop than rap I would say, but it's such a wild song that is really damn catchy in the chorus. Great video as always, dude!
You finally watched it! Awesome! But I was kind of expecting Suisei's new MV for Planetarium which came out a few days ago. That song is a gut punch, accappella song written by Deco*27 for the Holo*27 event.
Quite a lot of Hololive songs touched upon the theme of how vtubers straddle the real life and virtual life worlds, "Ghost" is a prime example, but the video part of "Stellar Stellar" is a masterpiece of storytelling that does it beautifully. We stay in the real life world, but see Suisei's world only through "windows" as in display screens, from television screens to phone screens, The two worlds then merged for a bit, and then at the end, the Suisei that we know is still on the other side of the window after all.
I can't believe you finally did it... technically! This one definitely has a different feel from the The First Take one. Hoshiyomis would probably roast me, but I prefer the more subdued TFT version. lol Interestingly enough for Watame she did a radio version of "My Song" on NHK with a similar, more emotional style to Suisei's TFT Stellar Stellar, so she does have something appropriate that she could do for it, but probably not confident enough to tackle it yet and it's not like it's within her power to just get the appearance.

I remember hearing this song for the first time and thinking that they were good lyrics and she was a good singer, but I couldn’t really get attached to the song as a whole. Something always felt off about it, but I didn’t know what. It was only when I came back to it after falling in love with the First Take version that I realised what it was - I really don’t like the mix here at all. All the drum and synth effects make it all too busy and it damages the song. I’m by no means an expert, but it does sound like a student has pushed a lot of different buttons while learning how to use a new tool, and then submitted it as finished.
For ironmouse, it would be next to impossible to be on the first take. Shes got a medical condition that makes it extremely difficult and dangerous to be outside like that. (Autoimmune disease i think)

I love The First Take version, but to me the music in this gives it so much, I highly recommend the breakdown of the music by Ravenclaw Reacts to understand the really cool stuff going on there, it's very interesting musically, even to somone without much music knowledge.
Evey time I listen to Stella Stella it just reminds me of how fantastic Suisei's singing is but also how talented the musicians are behind her (especially the drummer just going ham in the main verse)

As for recommendations, I recommend the song Unalive by Calli, the song and album that started me down the rabbit hole.
After listening to the acoustical versions more the musical chaos in the original is blowing my mind again. I hope we get to see more Suisei in the future, reaching those lofty goals she has for herself.

It's finally time!!! Glad you finally got around to hearing the full instrumental of this one. I LOVE this video with the blend between real-life footage and her animated model flawlessly inserted into it. It's so good! It was so awesome hearing her do this live during HoloFes last year. Since I know Suisei is one of (if not your top) favorites and was one of your first Hololive members you were introduced to, from one Hoshiyomi (Suisei fan) to another, it's great having you in this rabbit hole dude. It's crazy that you've only been doing this for about 7 months or so. Definitely feels like it's been longer!
I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend checking out Suisei's newly released MV, Planetarium. If you want a song that is very close to that same sort of atmosphere she gave in the First Take version of Stellar Stellar, you'll absolutely want to check that one out. 95% of the song is her voice. It's almost completely acapella save for a snare drum and some bass guitar from time to time, and it's a POWERFUL song. It's one of those songs that you put your headphones on, turn up the volume, close your eyes, and just get lost in it. I think you'll absolutely love it. I think it might be my favorite song from Suisei, even more so than Stellar Stellar and Michizure.
Aside from Suisei, I mentioned this to you on Twitter as well when it came out but you should definitely check out Korone's new original song, Wonky Monkey. It's a bit more hip hop than rap I would say, but it's such a wild song that is really damn catchy in the chorus.

Quite a lot of Hololive songs touched upon the theme of how vtubers straddle the real life and virtual life worlds, "Ghost" is a prime example, but the video part of "Stellar Stellar" is a masterpiece of storytelling that does it beautifully. We stay in the real life world, but see Suisei's world only through "windows" as in display screens, from television screens to phone screens, The two worlds then merged for a bit, and then at the end, the Suisei that we know is still on the other side of the window after all.

Interestingly enough for Watame she did a radio version of "My Song" on NHK with a similar, more emotional style to Suisei's TFT Stellar Stellar, so she does have something appropriate that she could do for it, but probably not confident enough to tackle it yet and it's not like it's within her power to just get the appearance.

I remember hearing this song for the first time and thinking that they were good lyrics and she was a good singer, but I couldn’t really get attached to the song as a whole. Something always felt off about it, but I didn’t know what.
It was only when I came back to it after falling in love with the First Take version that I realised what it was - I really don’t like the mix here at all. All the drum and synth effects make it all too busy and it damages the song. I’m by no means an expert, but it does sound like a student has pushed a lot of different buttons while learning how to use a new tool, and then submitted it as finished.
For ironmouse, it would be next to impossible to be on the first take. Shes got a medical condition that makes it extremely difficult and dangerous to be outside like that. (Autoimmune disease i think)
