      Oh! If you want an interesting quick survey of a handful of HoloLive songs, check out the 8-minute long "HoloLive Shuffle Medley," where some members took turns singing fragments of songs from other members while "wearing the other's outfits and using the other's stages." Stellar Stellar is the last song fragment in the shuffle.

      Try her song with Caliope "Getcha" "Capsule" "Wicked" those give a vibe of femdom.
      Sui-chan also have a cute song "Next color planet" And her "Ghost" is comparable to "Stellar Stellar"

    I'm glad you guys are having fun with HoloLive music. Since Suisei's First Take was trending in Indonesia, you might consider reacting to the HoloLive Indonesia member's songs like:
    Moona Hoshinova: "High Tide"
    Ayunda Risu: "ALiCE&U"
    Moona is a strong performer, and Suisei called Risu "the Celine Dion of HoloLive."

    It's funny that you describe it as a "grand orchestra" at 7:55, because she's part of a music unit called Midnight Grand Orchestra with Taku Inoue (The composer of Stellar Stellar and the guitarist in the First Take video). Definitely worth checking out some of their songs there as well as "3:12" from Taku Inoue ft Suisei

    Really glad to see you guys enjoying her music!
    My next suggestion for Suisei would be another original of hers called "Ghost": ruclips.net/video/IKKar5SS29E/видео.html
    Along with two songs from her friend and fellow Hololive artist Tokoyami Towa. Towa is also known for a lower singing voice, that plays well with rock ballads.
    This is Towa's original song called "Palette": ruclips.net/video/Ud73fm4Uoq0/видео.html
    And here is her fan favourite cover of a song called "Error": ruclips.net/video/3UV8OZj2olg/видео.html
    Again, cheers for jumping into something strange and unfamiliar with open minds and ears. Hope you find many more songs you like from Hololive and vtuber singers alike!

    The "virtuoso on the synths" is the music producer of this song: Taku Inoue. A highly rennouned EDM music producer that became a fan of Suisei, who is also a fan of Inoue's works on the idolmaster franchise.
    Inoue contacted the company because she wanted her to sing for his solo debut single. That happened (song is called "3:12") and then Suisei had him make Stellar Stellar.
    The man made an appearance in the first take video, playing the guitar.

    Suisei has an absolutely amazing voice. Its really cool to see you guys appreciate her songs. She is part of hololive, a large vtuber company.
    "Ghost" is probably the song with the closest style to "template" and "Stellar Stellar"
    Other hololive talents I would recommend:
    Moona Hoshinova from the Indonesian branch is another powerful singer. She speaks Indonesian, Japanese, and English
    "High Tide" is a banger and she sings in English on this one
    "Perisai Jitu" Sung in Indonesian it has heavy lyrics with a contrasting upbeat tune
    Irys from the English branch was brought on for her voice as well. Sings in both Japanese and English
    "Here Comes Hope" Sung mostly in Japanese and has a strong guitar mix
    "Gravity" Sung in English is more toned back but I think better accentuates her voice. it seems to be more of her style than "Here Comes Hope"
    Calliope Mori another english vtuber is more of a rapper but has an eclectic mix of styles. she does her own lyrics for most of her songs and has a very fast and conversational flow often mixing English and Japanese.
    "Red" lyrically focused and fast paced
    "End of a Life" more stripped down melancholic song my personal favorite

    I'm happy you enjoyed Suisei's song. She is very talented. Like another commentor has suggested, her other original song Ghost is great. If you wanted to check out another Hololive vtuber I'd recommend Towa and her original song Roar.

  • @sms9678
    @sms9678 Год назад +16

    I strongly recommend 天球、彗星は夜を跨いで (Tenkyuu, Suisei wa Yoru wo Mataide), it was Suisei's first song to really explode in popularity and is, to this day, my favorite one.
    Also, while the vtubing space has a ton of talented singers, I recommend checking out Tokoyami Towa, since her voice is quite unique among Japanese singers. There's another comment talking more in depth about Towa already, so I'll leave it at that.
    Anyway, it's always nice to see more people getting into this space, I feel like a lot of people miss out on some amazing artists because of how niche vtubing is.

    • @BestFriendsReact
      @BestFriendsReact  Год назад +4

      Thank you for the suggestion and awareness of other comments 😂 so far I like the style of music, it seemingly runs a lil parallel to a few artists I already liked such as LiSA, ado and Raon, yet different enough to be uniquely interesting. I think I'll like a lot of her songs and similar artists

    • @Helmir
      @Helmir Год назад +4

      @@BestFriendsReact Ah, yeah. A few of the different Hololive members actually have a fair bit of LiSA inspiration in their music. As you go you'll probably see a lot more, because as far as the vtuber groups go Hololive is probably doing the most in terms of music. They regularly do karaoke, 3D concerts digitally and even have concerts at real venues. Suisei's concert next week is at the Tokyo Garden Theater (7,000~ capacity) for instance and Hololive itself has its 4th festival "Our Bright Parade", a major 2 day event in March at the Makuhari Messe International Hall. While what they are is still kind of niche, they're still doing some pretty impressive stuff!

    • @BestFriendsReact
      @BestFriendsReact  Год назад +6

      That's cool they are doing so much, gaining and maintaining momentum seems like it would be the hardest thing as a fairly new concept, and it seems like they have grown a pretty big and stable fan base and collection of artists in just a few years

      @jrmcrlmorales Год назад +2

    You'd might enjoy one of Suisei's newer songs wii wii woo. Goes pretty hard.
    If you're interested in looking a bit beyond Suisei at some of the other Hololive girls would recommend Watame's "My Song" and Mayday, Mayday. Also FACT from Towa is quite good.

    The video of "Stellar Stellar" is what I would consider a tiny masterpiece. It is already a narrative from a vtuber's point of view: the real-life camera footage is of course our own, corporeal world, and yet through a screen we can see the virtual world in which Suisei resides, and as the frame excludes our real world, her world is just as real as can be. With this realization, watching the video again would understand the visual language therein.

    If you want to check out some of the other talents from Hololive, the following are pretty great songs by their various talents with a bit of trivia:
    Sakura Miko - Baby Dance
    (Hololive's resident ELITE. Lover of women, money and violence and notorious klutzy GTA menace. Miko is actually part of a duo with Suisei called MiComet, which combines their names - Suisei meaning 'Comet' literally)
    Ayunda Risu - ALICE&U
    (Risu is an Indonesian performer with an incredible amount of vocal control, and this song in particular she performed without any professional training - Suisei has called her the Celine Dion of Hololive)
    Moona Hoshinova - High Tide
    (Hololive Indonesia's other vocal powerhouse - has been described as a certified artist by the rest of the girls due to her stage presence and ability to perform)
    Amane Kanata - Tokusha-seizon Wonder-la-der
    (Another powerful vocalist, Kanata has a condition where she is gradually losing hearing in one ear, yet compensates for it with raw talent and hard work, and it shows in all of her performances)
    Inugami Korone - Doggy God's Street
    (Hololive's resident dog girl, the 'Dog God' meme is both in reference to her name [Inu = Dog, Gami/Kami = God] and the fact that she is ridiculously physically active IRL too, possibly being the most physically capable member of Hololive. Also very good friends with Miko - they did a 24 hour New Years marathon stream to bring in 2022)
    Takanashi Kiara - DO U
    (The English branch's most talented dancer, who recorded all of the motion capture used in the music video for the song in question)
    Mori Calliope - Excuse My Rudeness But Could You Please RIP?
    (From the same English branch as Kiara, she is Hololive's resident rapper with a grim reaper motif. Her songs are bangers altogether. If you want something solemn, there's 'end of a life', if you want something energetic and jazzy there's Nezumi Scheme'. Really you could throw a rock and hit a banger no matter what. The song suggested is the one she released the very same day she debuted.)
    Honestly, there's even more than this but we'd be here forever if that was the case, and these are just some of the top picks that I like.

And lastly you should check the OG hololive member Tokino Sora(her songs are mostly styled with idol music) she single handedly carried hololive alone for 6 months when it started and her voice is realy beautiful you can choose any of her songs because it's all bangers anyways.

    She and Inotaku, who composed Stellar Stellar, formed orchestra band, named "Midnight Grand Orchestra". This band is also great and you should check out.
    In terms of her songs, i love CapSule, which is her and Calliope song.
    VTuber is deeep rabbit hole. There are also EN VTuber, such as Calliope, who is great VTuber rapper.

    Great reaction. There are lots of great suggestions down here and as its quite clear, vtubing is just a method and its all about the talent of which there are plenty. Even some tiny channels have great content - metal wise there is only one i can think of called obkatiekat who i don't think has any originals but has done some covers and absolutely shreds on the guitar. She also doesn't hide her identity pretty much. Probably not reaction video worthy but a quick 2 min look can get you an idea of what i mean.

    There's actually a part of stellar stellar which has some interesting rhythmic choices for a pop song. I believe it's the prechorus, which features some polymeter where the instrumentation is in 6/4 or 6/8 while she's singing in 4/4 over it. It's kinda hard to notice unless you know what you're listening for, but it is interesting, because that sort of polymeter is not particularly common in pop music.

    If you're more on the metal head side 100% recommend "Mayday Mayday" by Tsunomaki Watame and "My Roar" or "Fact" by Tokoyami Towa.
    In Hololive (these performers' parent company, you can think of it as a studio or a label.. or just a talent production company) they're introduced/debut by what we call "Generations".
    Suisei is part of what we call 0th gen, sort've like the OG members before they really established a direction for what the company was going to be.
    Towa and Watame are both gen-mates from the 4th generation of the Japan branch. (there is also an Indonesian and an English branch, the EN branch has a rapper named Calliope Mori that will probably be recommended a bit if you guys stay in the Hololive hole)
    Editing after finishing your vid: Its funny that you mention the "orchestra build up" in Stellar Stellar, the composer Inoue, after working with Suisei on a few projects started something he calls "The Midnight Grand Orchestra" and he specifically requested Suisei to be the vocalist for it.

    I think you guys might like 'My Roar' by Tokoyami Towa (not a music video, but the song is available on the Towa topic channel It'll be titled マイロア )
    She's another vtuber from the same agency/group as Suisei and has a deeper, more powerful voice
    'My Roar' is probably one of the hardest/heaviest vtuber songs out there

  • @EmmaLaBunn
    @EmmaLaBunn Год назад +1

    "Let us know what we should check out next." You fools! You know not what you ask! The rabbit hole is deep and few ever escape it once they enter!
    Seriously though, there are so many talented vtubers out there putting out great stuff. Hololive (the agency Suisei is part of) has an above average collection of top tier talent because they were founded with the idea of being a virtual version of the massive (in membership and popularity) idol group AKB48. It'd be quicker to list the members that aren't fantastic singers, and even those have their own talents that contribute to the whole. Other comments have mentioned plenty of member to check out so I'll just second the suggestions of Calliope Mori, Ayunda Risu, and Moona Hoshinova, who are some of my personal favourites.
    Outside of Hololive there are also loads of talented vtubers. It would take forever to list them all. One of particular note is Ironmouse from the VShojo group. Her singing talent is incredible. Even more so because she has an immunodeficiency disorder that affects her voice, means she has to be on oxygen most of the time, and has her bed-bound for years. Hers is one of those stories of overcoming adversity that pulls on the heart strings. But when she goes all out, her voice is sublime. Check out any of her stuff with the label of "Operatic Mouse" to see what I mean.

    As people in the community like to say, welcome to our little rabbit hole of content! Hololive is full of talented singers! But the world of VTubers extends beyond just Hololive as well. There are a lot of independent VTubers as well as other agencies similar to Hololive, and there is a lot of talent spread out in this little corner of the content creator world.
    Some different talents I can suggest from within Hololive:
    Tokino Sora - The very first Hololive VTuber! She truly did pave the way for the agency and she's the face of Hololive, appearing on TV programs regularly in Japan. I suggest her song "Polaris Soraris"
    AZKi - a dedicated musician within hololive! She's labeled as a "VSinger" rather than a "VTuber" since her content was so much more focused on music. Nowadays she has opened up a lot more though! She did a duet original with Suisei here called "The Last Frontier" which you can find on her channel.
    Tsunomaki Watame - while she's more split in the kinds of content she makes, music is a major passion for her, and she's managed some concerts of her own! I suggest her song "Everlasting Soul".
    Tokoyami Towa - While she loves playing FPS games, she also loves making music! She even has some metal songs (with clean vocals)! I suggest "My Roar".
    Nekomata Okayu - Originally she just did games and actually didn't think she had a good singing voice, but over the years she's gained confidence in her powerful vocals! She normally does covers but recently put out her first album! I suggest "Dokuhai Swallow".
    IRyS - Another "VSinger", this time from the English branch of Hololive! Although she took to varied content streaming almost immediately, she constantly puts out music content as well! I suggest "Here Comes Hope".
    Calliope Mori - Second on the list from the English branch. She's very comparable to Suisei as far as musical career trajectory is concerned! She's put out multiple albums, had several live concerts, and is currently signed with Universal Music Japan. Others have recommended some of her duet songs with Suisei already, so I want to suggest one of her solos, "Let's End the World".
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Many other members have a few songs they've put out as well that are well deserving of attention, but these I would say are ones that have made music a very core part of their content. Of course there is a lot of talent outside of Hololive as well, but we'd be here for ever if we dove that deep into the VTuber world.
    if you enjoy vsingers like suisei, i have a few others i would like to recommend:
    Metamorphosis (変身) by VWP
    Rise (2022 version) by Vesperbell
    the last bullet by Koko
    Die Another Day by Otonashi Muon
    Shiden Issen (紫電一閃) by Asano Ruri
    • @siekensou77
      @siekensou77 Год назад +2
      i want to note:
      Kaf from VWP is really big/popular comparable to suisei.
      For japan and music, the dream stage for any musician/artist is the budoukan. Kaf got to the budoukan stage for her 3rd one man live.
      earlier last year, for the vtuber fest (part of the nicovideo choukaigi event) suisei and kaf performed a song together. there should be an eng sub clip where suisei recounts that.
      suisei also had kaf on her radio show last week where they talked a bit and exchanged contacts. there is an eng sub clip of that radio segment.
      There, they also shared that they have the utmost respect for each other.
      asano ruri is also good friends with suisei and has made 2 cover songs with suisei on 朝ノ姉妹 channel. Absolute 5, and Alive Factor
    • @siekensou77
      @siekensou77 Год назад +2
      i edited the selection to reflect more of a rock theme (except Kanade Mimi)
      Vesperbell is a rock duo. Shiden Issen might also be rock ish as well so you might like those 2 more readily. Koko also has a rock image.
      i changed the VWP song to Metamorphosis because that one is more of a rock theme
      there is a live version of the last bullet if you want to see how concerts are done
