Elijah, a human like us, prayed earnestly, and God responded powerfully. Just as Elijah's prayers brought rain, our earnest prayers connect us to God's divine will and open the Holy Place through Jesus. Honor God, His Word, and His promises. Train your eyes to see as God sees, and prepare for His answers even before they appear. Remember, it's Jesus who qualifies us. The earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. #FaithInAction
Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that
it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half
years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth
produced its crops. (James 5:17-18 NIV)
    • Prayer takes you to the Holy place
    • We connect earnest prayer to our action; God connects earnest
    prayer to our position
    • When you accept Jesus, the Holy Place opens for your entrance
    • The new curtain to the Holy Place is Jesus
    Our Steps:
    1. Remember
    2. Honor God
    3. Honor the Word
    4. Honor the time
    5. Honor the people
    6. Honor the promise
Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound
of abundance of rain.” (1 Kings 18:41 NKJV)
    • At some point, we’re going to have to say what God said, instead of
    what we see
So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of
Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between
his knees, and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.”
So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven
times he said, “Go again.” Then it came to pass the seventh time,
that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of
the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’” (1 Kings 18:42-44 NKJV)
    • It’s time to train our eyes to see what God sees
    • Sometimes, our eyes have to be closed to see the answer
    • We need to prepare for the answer before we see it
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. (James 5:13 NIV)
    • You’re not the qualifier. Jesus is the qualifier of you
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and
produces wonderful results. (James 5:16 NLT)
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave
himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with
water through the word, (Ephesians 5:25-26 NIV)
    • Submission comes with trust from the watering of the Word
    I’m right in His sight!
