Making these for the first time for a home party. My husband’s family is coming at our house and I need to impress starting with appetizers. By the look of it they must be very tasty.👍
@@crazybaker1 Thank you Steve, I appreciate your reply. I’ll try with different type of cheeses but I’ll never leave the parmesan out. As for my guests, I’ll stick to your original recipe. Cheers!
I made these cheese straws today and they're very nice. The recipe and method worked well. But they are not cheesy enough! I used gruyere cheese and a grated hard cheese, but i didn't have Parmesan. Maybe next time i need some mature or extra mature cheddar.
Hi Steve, the Cheese Straws look really good but if there are any left how do I store them I.e. fridge or cupboard and how long can I store them for? As I am the only one to eat them, although good would be too much for just me. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks mate 😀 best to keep them in a box like Biscuits and also you can use cellophane or that type of thing, in my shop I make them up and seal them in just film, what's good about that you just take out and warm up and eat 😀😀 Laters
Thank you for the video. I was curious though as to why you were trimming, then supposedly wasting the off cuts? If you were forming them into such haphazard shapes, why trim them at all? Anyway,, will give them a try, looked lovely xx
Allethea Smith Wall, along with her former sister-in-law, Frances Irlbeck, made this for the former's sister, Rosalynn Smith Carter, and brother-in-law Jimmy Carter's 75th wedding anniversary in July. Not one was left.

Add in Parmesan works best, I use a good mixture of different cheeses strongest the best 👌 for that extra flavour 😉 👍
Fantastic video! Loved watching it! They look delicious! :)
Thanks mate they are 😀 some one has asked if I would do a Marmite ones, so if I get time before Christmas Marmite straws recipe 🤮🤮 laters
Great video! We made some of these this morning, and they are delicious! Many thanks 👍🍻🍻
thanks mate enjoy 😀😀
Nice one Steve. A few chilli flakes in mine please LOL
Paula not a lover of chilli, now Marmite is a yes so I am going to do some 😀😀
Try spreading a thin layer of mustard on the other sheet then put on the cheese side. The mustard makes it taste very cheesy.
There is something about mustard 😋 which just seems to make them taste better 😋 also Onion powder works really well 😋 laters Steve

If you have the pastry from the supermarket, about 50 minutes, for me best way 😀 enjoy laters 😀
