I ended up taking much longer on this than I had planned... I've wanted to cover this song for a while and thought Maki would be fun to use with it when she released, and she was! Unfortunately though there's no official instrumental for this song even with the full release of Library of Ruina's soundtrack (which is where this song is from), so I had to make do. It's not perfect, but I did my best, ahah - the mix may be odd for that reason.
In addition, I also made the PV entirely in After Effects this time. I've used it for small things here and there throughout past covers, but I figured that if I'm paying for it for school anyway I may as well actually learn how to use it. I learned a lot! The PV definitely isn't perfect, and I still have a lot to learn i.e more natural text placement/animation (the text was honestly the hardest part), but I had a lot of fun messing around with it and want to use it more.
As for the art, it might be a little odd for Maki to be smiling during a song like this, but I originally had her with a different, more serious expression, and she just looked too serious to me, haha. She's just cosplaying as Xiao here after all, so I thought it'd be okay for her to smile.

This is the first time I'm listening to Maki English, and I'm surprised by how clear she is! You tuned her really well, and the video is so pretty.

I still to this day think this is incredibly underrated, bringing more emotion to an already emotional track, and the tuning is wonderful
