    I had a feeling the first side to get a "+1 marble per minute" would win it. I'm not a statistician, but it seems to me that would be the determining factor in most games like this.

      It's a balance between that and the luck of the marbles. It's still possible for the player with less +marbles per minute to get one very lucky high number that will decide the game, although I suspect with the marble setup I have in this one that the +marbles per minute is stronger than it should be

      @@lostmarbles3d That's generally a thing when dealing with progressing economies. For example in a strategy game a player will get the upper hand when having +8% more economy (which is approximately what a roll of +1 marble/min is), unless they are rushed before they can capitalize on the boosted economy.
      If you want to minimize the risk of excessive economy growth, you can try to make higher levels of economy cost more than the levels before. Additionally increase the probability to roll an economy boost. This should lower the variance. Might speed up the fight tremendously tho.

      @@mikatto2979 I'm a bit too lazy to implement a good way to differentiate the escalating costs between players haha, but now that I think about it, it shouldn't be too difficult.
      The other way to balance it better is to increase the cost / opportunity cost of selecting that upgrade, so that the player is behind in combat for a while before they get their return on investment. I think the balance in weapon territory war 5 (on my main channel) handled this a bit better.
      Might also just remove it entirely

    This series only need 2 things: a greater distance between the mothership and a repair tool for herself

    Normally in this type of video almost nothing happens until late in the game, which makes you want to skip the first 70% of the video to get to the action.
    Here the early game actually mattered with significant stuff happening early on that keeps you interested from the start. Great work!

    Mothership go BOOM!
    The explosion was fantastic! Having the altitude lines was very helpful too. Music choice was top notch, especially the ending one.🤩

    that was such a solid push back from green there in the end. quite the epic fight. did put my money on the wring horse.... again though but hey. at this point its just funny to me.

    add something like a repair ship. to repair the main ship and ships in battle.

      @@lostmarbles3d They help a bit with understanding where ships are, but I feel they take away from the aesthetics of the space battle (good example at 7:45) it starts looking like a diorama of a space battle rather than an actual space battle.

    4:22 that Defence Field Frigate was trolling so hard, green would have won if that one ship moved to actually defend the mothership

    Incredible video, loved the different behavior between classes of ships. It's been a long wait for a new space war and with all the changes it was totally worth it!

    At no point did I know who was going to win and that cool. Most of the time one sides builds up a lead and snowballs it but not this time

    That early rush from blue pretty much won it for them and they did a good job holding for the rest of the time

    idea: repair ship, end teir, repairs the ship for 100HP every 30 seconds, 10 marbles = 1 ship

    Green fought a good fight, I was hopeful for the epic comeback. If that battleship roll was + however marbles/minute instead, that would have been epic.

    Could you please explain the stats of the difrent spaceships.

      Small ships:
      Fighter - Low damage, low hp
      Bomber - Twin high damage attack, can only hit large ships
      Medium ships:
      Gunship - Has a rapid fire laser gun on all sides, each can shoot a different target, good when surrounded
      Shield - Has a large shield that blocks all projectiles hitting it, has many hit points
      Missile - Similar to bomber, but can also target medium size ships. Fires 5 homing missiles.
      Large ships:
      Frigate - Forward railgun that pierces and deals high damage, also has several turrets on sides and top
      Battleship - Very high hit points, has a triple plasma cannon in front (can only target large ships), and also many laser turrets on sides
      Carrier - High hit points, has several laser turrets on all sides, spawns fighters and bombers periodically

    I like the action, but I couldn't keep track of the marbles after a few minuts, it's too chaotic. The Simulation itself was very entertaining tho, but I also always enjoy seeing numbers go up

    add more ships please, make them cloak would be good, try to have some be speedy, maybe make some glass cannons, or some with great armor but sucky guns, i'd like variety

    Although I do think that +1 marble per minute wasn’t a bad idea in concept, it definitely makes it extremely unfair at a certain point and I think it should just be a passive increase instead

    I kept telling myself "GET MORE FIGHTERS!" but then I realised am watching a screen so doing that is pointless 💀It was sad to see green fail tho :(

    Just wondering why did so many marbles seem to bounce off selections?

      It's a bit hard to see, but there is also a circle there, maybe just a few pixels sticking out above the trigger. The colour selection makes it additionally difficult to see. Will fix it in the next one!

      Judging by the views it's getting it might be a while between all the trench wars, but I do intend to make more! Still a lot of things that I want to fix here

      @lostmarbles3d is it not performing as well? That is a shame :(
      The graphics are looking amazing.
      For fixes I think the main thing is pace and time. It's space, I think it would feel nicer, and would allow us to watch more stuff if everything was slower paced and further apart.
      Idea I had is that the spanners start close together so we can see the dogfights of fighters, but they travel away from each other so that by the end, battleships and carriers are fighting over longer distances and we may barely even be able to see fighters apart from when they explode.
      Second, I would expand the health differences, I don't think even 30 fighters should be able to take down a battleship, but the large weapons should do more damage.
      I might also change the visuals for different weapons, it became hard to tell what was shooting what, perhaps different brightness shades of colour, or even different colours all together. Red for missiles, green for beam lasers etc.
      Hopefully this video starts to perform better because I think it has far more potential than thr marble trenches or kingdoms.
      Ps. I would love to see a return to the concept of battleships fighting with marbles inside each ship. There is so much room to add and play around with the concept and I think it could look amazing!
      Anyway, great work and can't wait till the next one :)

      @@Axis_._ reading your comment reminds me, originally I was planning to make a 3D version of the space battle on my main channel, maybe it's time to do that! The difference would be that each player just starts with some ship. Maybe have different ship types to make it interesting.

    Idk if you've seen Space Battleship Yamato but you should add submarines that generate personal wormholes to sneak up on the other team

    Honestly this felt like a real downgrade compared to your last Space Wars.
    No longee where the Cockpit views
    No longer was the wave deployments
    The ships dont even come out from the mothership anymore either.
    That +1 Marble was a very clear "okay whoever gets it win" modifier
    And i do appreciate the Height thing but with how the ships themselves not really doing the crazy dog fighting like they used to more so moving like army men figures instead or models.
    Eh. It just doesnt feel all that great sadly with all the new affects too.
    Great video nevertheless but yeah
    I also was noticing that some of the modifers and counts where wrong too
    For example early on Blue gets a 4X modification on a Marble then lands on a +20.
    What should be accounted for first?
    Because should the +20 be added first for the original count of 1. Making it 20 then the 4x modifier? Making it 80?
    Or is it 1 by the 4x modifer plus 20 for just. 24?

    This game was weird and a bit rigged, every marbles were going to the right, making it very slow for any new troops to spawn

      I was struggling a bit to get them to bounce enough to reach the end, so side ways gravity was my solution. I'll probably rework that area entirely.

      It's just a project I made in Unity, only on my PC at the moment. I do have vague plans to make some of my videos/games downloadable, but I haven't had the time
