- The shooter who gunned down eight students on Michigan State University’s campus Monday had previously pled guilty to a gun charge in Lansing and was not allowed to carry a firearm.
Justice system failed those students. Why are we giving those charged and convicted of gun charges probation or plea deals? This is on the prosecutor AND judge

Even better, why are people depending on someone else to keep them safe? This is a free country and the home of the brave. The word brave isn't to be taken lightly.
As someone who’s been charged with a bs gun charge not all are violent. Mine was because some dumb ass friend lied about having his gun registered on a hunting trip and in fact he didn’t . Well he fucked over me and two other friends cause he wanted to be cool /bad mouth the the cop with his ghost gun. I had mine registered, had a license to carry and as did the other two . I know this isn’t the case for this situation but sometimes it’s just because of one pos who wants to be cool who ruins it for everyone. I’m on probation and plan on reregistering to apply for a gun and do it by the book again . My biggest lesson from it was to choose who I associate with correctly when operating firearms and makes sure EVERYONE has their shit in order . If they don’t have it registered or a hunting license they aren’t coming and I wanna see proof meaning paperwork and licenses!
What does the justice system have to do with him getting a gun? He had a gun charge for concealing a weapon with out a permit to conceal…he clearly passed a background check to get a gun
I mean what else do you want “the justice system” to do? Seems to me this guy would have obtained an illegal weapon and break the law in order to do what he did so I don’t think the justice system was going to stop him

What doesn’t work is County Prosecutor Carol Siemon releasing gun law violators with a slap on the wrist. Enforce the laws or suffer the consequences. Democrat Agenda at work!

@@UltimateGaming-ih if cops are poorly trained what makes you think people with mental illness, depression, poor anger management, learning disabilities, or just plain evil intent can be properly trained. It's going to make the problem worse because trained people will forget their training just like cops do but there will be more guns on the street.

To be fair, gunfire in Lansing is not really unusual at anytime throughout the year.
So NO amount of present gun control worked in this case because the "system", judges, prosecutors and the like allowed him to short cut the system and a person that should not have ever been able to obtain a weapon, was allowed to do so with horrible consequences. If a person has demonstrated their unreliability for being responsible in possessing a weapon then why did the system give that person another chance by providing pathways around the laws. For all the gun control laws on the books and we do know that criminals will not abide by any regulation or follow any law, and then our prosecutors allow such leniency in punishment as to make any rule, regulation or law totally ineffective.
All problems started at home.. he looks like an outcast, and from what the neighbor said, he didn’t have a good relationship with his parents.. but that still no reason to go and shoot at random people smh..

@@Parmigianapapi I do not mind responsible people having weapons anywhere. I am against people who are itching to ditch the 2nd Amendment. There is a responsibility in possessing and owning a weapon. That responsibility is not found in everyone. The responsibility should be earned by those who can demonstrate they have the necessary training, or can be trained, and responsibility and positive forward thinking attitude to handle themselves in difficult situations. That means they would never give or loan their weapon to someone else who could operate it out side the visual range of the original owner. Nor would they sell or give such a weapon to another Person who does not have the training or responsibility to possess it.

I had a cousin and her husband was obsessed with guns. One time when I came to their house I open the door to come in and, and he pointed the gun at me and click the trigger nothing went off but don't you ever point a gun at me again! Never the less, even after that incident he wound up accidentally supposedly, shooting my cousin his wife. Well she lived through it and wound up divorcing him. I believe that people can become addicted to guns, like people are addicted to drugs, and like people are addicted to food, but the problem with guns is if they do have guns and obsess over them, you really don't know what's going on in their minds, they could have very dark thoughts!
