I had a 2014 hatch and I miss it literally every single day, I will have another one but unfortunately it’s not top priority right now. Got horrible gas mileage (I’m talking like 14mpg on a good day) and you obviously have to run premium, but it was 1000% worth it. Never abused the car but I couldn’t help but let it eat a little everytime I got behind the wheel. And you’re right about the trunk/hatch space in these gens. I did so many gigs with multiple guitar cases and big amplifiers, camping trips, vacations, or even just hauling a car full of friends and their stuff around, you can literally do anything with these cars.. I drove it in the snow with summer tires? which was so stupid but it still somehow worked.. rain, shine or anything I swear these cars do not care and they handle it like champs, like you said IF you take proper care of them. A blob Sti is still my dream car but honestly would not be let down whatsoever to own another hatch. Idk I just can’t say enough good things about these cars.
The GC/GD is the most beautiful. The GR/GV is for sure one of the best body styles though. ..The VA/VB can look good, but they need more styling modifications. The problem with this generation is the motors were pretty unreliable, esp 2008,2009

No man 100% agree with you this gen is really good and rare to see ins. Clean form, the gas sucks tho…
Weird, I get about 23mpg, when I drive long distance, I get close to 27mpg highway
