These are smart drones. What impresses me the most is how it will return back home on its own at the touch of a button. Also the 6.2 mile range, the 2.2 mile elevation, 34 mph speed and 51 minute flight time.
I mean all it is is.GPS systems
Just bought one! So excited to get it up and become experienced. Thanks for the video. Some beautiful shots.
Another DJI drone to beat! DJI's releasing so many awesome drones lately!
As far as the flight time goes, you have to keep in mind the environmental effects. If it's hot or cold it will draw more, wind also. Still a good little unit I love mine so far.
Just ordered one. Coming from Mavic Mini. The original one. Looks like it’s gonna be fun !
thinking of getting one, so a well timed video Colin, thank you for posting
My first beginner drone was the mavic mini that is the OG of it all and i was hooked
Thanks for making this vid
Thank you for the video as it was very informative and will help me with my brand new purchase of the mini three.
Smart machine Colin!! Just amazing! Our generation saw the most technological advancement and its evolution ... yeah! ... the generation of the 50s!!!
Great review. Thank you 😊
Excellent!
amazing
one commentor said the video was more shaky in the 3 vs the pro but i dont see that here at all. looks great!
Thank you, Agent K
To me it makes sense to get the optimal prop guard protector. Raises the weight but with no collision avoidance, lowers your chance of prop damage
Good call
Awesome vid! Where do you get the music! Great vibe over all :)
Just brought a 3, can't wait.
What power of a zoom does it have? Are you happy with it after 8 months?
I've wanted a good drone for so long. I need to get one
Not only a good beginner drone, not only a budget drone, but an excellent back up drone.
Interesting video!
What application do you use to edit videos and photos?
Thanks for the great review. Just wondering how good the screen on the controller is in bright sunlight? How do you think it would compare to a phone screen in the sun? Thanks.
Had mine since launch Colin. Not used it yet. Typical! Great video. I believe it IS the best beginner drone out there. Has a lot of the pro features of the mavic yet it’s at a very affordable price.
Feature packed!
This is the MIni 3, released today. It's different than the pro :)
@@photoshopcafe oh my bad. I watched the video and didn’t even realise. 😮
I have had my drone 5 days and have been learning fast and taking some great pics weather has been against me but soon as it is good will be out checking some fishing places at low tide look for patches of water that the fish will be in when the tide drops
Hi, If I wanted to fly this along a stretch of coast line documenting plastic debris, would it hold a fixed altitude, or do I have to constantly keep an eye on that? Thanks - Great video BTW.
The tracker is a really cool feature. If this had it then it would be perfect. Really thinking about the pro version just for that.
Great job
thanks!
Super great video super cool drone.
Call me old school but I'm going to stick with my.

I know DJI Is the leader
In drone technology.
Does the software stitch together the vertical images as well, or is that done afterwards? Which editing programs do you recommend for a newbie with a not-too-big budget
With the bigger battery its 290g which puts it over that 250g limit, worth noting.
It's hard to say no to a powerful budget-friendly drone!
IS not budget drone ,maybe from Walmart for 50$ is those drone at not cheap.and the pro version with rc controller time fly is shorter than with DJI mini 3
nice video
Thanks
I was all set to purchase the Mini 2, but then I noticed the RC controller and that all changed... Switching to the Mini 3 now. Nice video thanks
Same for me.. i was looking at the mini 2 on fleabay for ages, kept missing out with bids of 350. Saw the mini 3 with the rc controller and thought thats the one for me. Got both id's and insured it and flying around loving it 🫵🤩
Does Mini 3 have crash sensors & obstacle avoidance features?
The Mini 3 does not, but the Mini 3 Pro does.@@yashpatill2710
i was raised in laguna and i could tell the wedge and cdm , im getting this so when i go home i can shoot lowers and uppers that was fun its 719 on amazon , again thanks
Just bought one ,I see it gets good reviews.
They are good drones
Can we connect phone to mini 3 to download the photos and videos
Does Mini 3 have crash sensors & obstacle avoidance features?
I made a panorama photo and was suprised that I only found a hugh batch of photo's which were part of the panorama photo. This means you have to construct the panorama photo yourself afterwards?
Ok so I’m thinking of buying the Mini 3. I have a Mini SE, and a Mini 2 SE. I still fly both of them, but I’m thinking of getting the Mini 3 fly more combo. I’m concerned about what I’m learning for when remote ID rolls out. I’m not a part 107 guy, I just fly recreationally. I wouldn’t mind registration, but I’m concerned that when remote ID starts, it’s supposed to display the location of the ground controller, which is the pilot. I’m not sure I’d be comfortable with that. So my question is, if I get the Mini 3, don’t register it, what happens if I use the extended battery?
Hi, i was hoping somebody could answer a question i have please. I read there is no quick transfer on the RC 1 for the mini 3 or it was disabled. How can i get 4K images to my phone. Not sure whether to get the RC or RCN1 Thanks
You don't have to register it, unless you are in the US and you are using it in a Part 107 operation which has no exemptions from registration.
Although I kind of dislike that they removed some really great features, it’s still a really solid drone for the buck
Now I got interested with the Mini 3 when I saw the price!
Yeah, its a good deal
@photoshopcafe wanting to purchase one myself. It will be my first drone. Looks like the controller has a Zoom option. What power of zoom does it have? Optical or digital?
The charging station will fully charge the battery that is closest to a full charge regardless of location. User-owner.
My DJI mini 3 drone locked code-30122 how open n unlocked?
Do you need to register this specific done under FAA? and if so, under recreational or commercial?
Not unless you are using the larger batteries
Am getting the mini 3 combo plus with the RC for 756 USD after 125 USD discount so now should I go with the mini 3 or the pro? Spending 370 USD more really worth for the mini 3 pro?
Not in my opinion. Camera is *almost* identical so you really only get some obstacle avoidance. Not sure if the 3 has all the follow me and other tracking stuff but not a high priority for me to spend the extra money. Now to just find the money to buy a mini 3 LOL.
The mini 3 pro has obstacle avoidance , tracking which can really add a new level to the filming aspect , and can do 4k at 60 fps instead of just 30 . Believe it or not though the mini 3 (standard) actually has a longer flight time due to having less sensor consuming power and the lower fps on the 4k.
If you have the money get the pro. It'll future proof experienced you when the mini 3 runs out of growth room and instead of needing a whole new drone that's more powerful having the pro allows you to grow into it more fully . I got the mini and love it to death but wish I would of dropped a few more hundred bucks for the pros extra features that really make it the best drone for the price . The pro is filming some footage you would almost only see only 1k dollar plus drones . Just look on RUclips mini 3 pro cinematic footage it'll take you off your feet how good it looks . The pro also has double the iso of the base model so night time shots/footage looks way better .
I am a beginner. Which should i use dji mini3 or mini3 pro? Please suggest me.
Are you a beginner done user or beginner cinematographer? If you don't care about grading your footage to match your camera, then the Mini 3 is great. Otherwise you need D-Cinelike on the Mini 3 Pro.
I had the DJI Mini2 untill it went rogue, So i filed an insurance claim and got a credit for the full price of the drone. So i upgraded to the DJI Mini 3 . I didnt realise that it came with two big batteries in the the fly more combo. Guess i have to register the drone now.
I thought mini 3 doesn’t have obstacle avoidance only the pro version.
It only has downward facing OA I believe.
🇦🇴🇦🇴🇦🇴
Not the same camera as the Mini 3 Pro. There are several differences between the Pro and Mini 3. Look up the specs.
There are different features unlocked with the mini 3pro camera but it's the same quality footage out of both the mini 3 and pro
@@Lithium023 I agree with the quality of the video but there are several things different about the camera. It's nice that we now get 48 mp after the firmware update and hopefully DJI will unlock more of the Pro features to the Mini 3 as time goes on.
@@Lithium023 It's absolutely not the same quality footage. Mini 3 doesn't have D-Cinelike, so grading it to match your camera will be way more limiting.
It's also has like 6300 iso which is almost double the base model . Meaning it's night time capabilities are significantly better ,it offers 4k 60 instead of 30 ,and comes with full tracking/ professional camera color grading . So that price difference is actually pretty sane for what a sub 1k dollar masterpiece of equipment you get.
You can make alot of money with that drone fun aside . Even just making RUclips videos of pretty footage , filming local races ,sports, pets, real estate,ECT.
It’s a shame that it doesn’t have waypoints. Why would DJI remove it just for this drone 🤦🏻♂️. Doesn’t look like it will ever be available for it either 😡
Dude looks like Tommy Lee Jones
Hey buddy. I mast say I’m and I’m not criticising but why in us most people saying entry level or beginner. It cost fortune! And after software update mini 3 gets 48m pixel as well and hardly any moch better than pro version. Ów was cost 50$ it would be entry level drone but does not . But if you not gonna spend 1000$ you gonna be point by people oh you did not spend extra 200 for pro version. Sounds special pro . That the reason I don’t like society cos everything whatever you buying outdoors gear cars bikes bow etc people shows of what gear you should have .bit they didn’t mention one think one think only go and enjoy yourself whatever you do whatever if you flying drone or climbing or bike riding never only constantly competition.
This video isn't for beginners. I'm six minutes in, the drone is flying, and I have not been instructed how to use the joysticks.
This isn't a tutorial. its a review ;)
@@photoshopcafe Then you should change the video's description, which reads: "New DJI Mini 3 drone and tutorial." [wink back]
How can you watch your panoramic photos? I can see them all on my sd card but dont know what to do with them?
