I feel so horrible for Steve. 18 months ago he was out camping on the Canada/US border with Crazy Neighbour, and celebrating 1 million subscribers with Beautiful Wife. Here we are a short time later and they're both taken too soon. I just can't imagine.
I never comment on videos, but you're one of my favorite channels. It's easy to tell you're a genuine man and I'm very sorry you've had to deal with so much loss in the past few years. I think this is so important to say, but I think Steve needs to see this. Steve, your strength as a character is one that, to me, is unmatched. I have never seen someone on a public platform such as RUclips go through what you went through, from your beautiful wife, mother, and Crazy Neighbor, and still have the heart to film videos for us. I am just beyond proud of you. I hope people can like this so you can see this. All of those beautiful souls are looking down on you, smiling and proud. I hope others find strength from your journey and mindset as well. His death actually depressed me and made me tear even though i didn't know him, I bet he was the first one to reach out to steve when his wife died, Thank god steve is doing what he wanted to do with no fear

Steve, I have only recently found your channel. As an older person who spends a lot of time alone, I want to thank you for what you did for Crazy Neighbor. You gave him exciting adventures in his final years. I spend days upon days sitting in a chair watching other people’s lives on RUclips. You gave him excitement and days to look forward to. Floating down rivers, creeping through caves and camping under the stars. What I wouldn’t give to have a friend like that. You were a gift to him. Older people are often forgotten about or left behind. You were patient with Glen, kind to him, and I’m sure you made him feel valuable. Take your time grieving and we will all be here when you are ready for your next stealthy camping trip. From all of us seniors out here, who live life through others adventures….thank you for being his friend. Rest in Peace Crazy Neighbor.

Your videos I hold dear to me because on days when nothing was good, your videos would make me laugh and smile and be entertained, and also distracted from all the craziness. I am so sorry for your tragedies but just know you’re living life to the fullest and are such a great human. This has been a cruel couple years for you. I am deeply sorry for all of your loss. You have over a million people that love you. We may only be social media followers but our love is real. We try feel your pain and loss. We have had our own sadness. We empathize, but everyone's experience is different. My father's passing was a miracle. My father was Lutheran. He made a friend at cardio rehab that was a Catholic priest. By amazing chance, this priest just happened to be in in the hospital. The staff let this priest know the situation with my dad. My mother and I are Catholic. This priest gave my father his last rites and absolved his sins so he could meet God in heaven. Our family felt a ton of Love from God. Bless your your friend for being their for you and God's grace for putting you guys together.

Some times you can take a look at a person and read them like a book. Glenn, although a very complex man ALWAYSSS gave off a genuine love for life and not just his. He loved adventure and getting out on the river. I think he actually really enjoyed that more than we know :). When Steve was going through one of the toughest losses a man will face Glenn stepped up and took on almost a big brother role. That action speaks volumes about a mans character. I believe that he will be watching over us and i bet he will make some of Steves up coming trips a little more special. I like to think hes still around some where. Crazy Neighbor always struck me as Mister Rogers wild, off-the -grid cousin/ relative, but I can never say for certain why that is... Steve, please hear/ listen to what I believe are the most important messages/comments in here and All your vids; you bring hope, you bring joy and you bring relief from the grind of life. I realize that seems to be placing an impossible burden upon any mortals shoulders but don't feel pressured to do anything different, new, exciting, etc. Just keep doing you when you feel it's right. Steve, please hear/ listen to what I believe are the most important messages/comments in here and All your vids; you bring hope, you bring joy and you bring relief from the grind of life. I realize that seems to be placing an impossible burden upon any mortals shoulders but don't feel pressured to do anything different, new, exciting, etc. Just keep doing you when you feel it's right. Don't force it. Crazy Neighbor may have hammed it up in front of the lens, but we could tell he was still himself, and the same goes for you Steve. Keep your stick on the ice, bud!
