    Michael Fremer's first Record released is Digital. Mr. Analog What's up with that?

      Is what the artist intended!!!! /s

    • @trackingangle929
      @trackingangle929 7 месяцев назад +4

      The recording was being recorded digitally and not originally intended for release but I was able to convince Rufus and Caelan to let me release it after I worked with the engineer to equalize and mix it.

      he already answered, but i'll say that i was one of the test pressing consultants and it sounded 'in the room' convincing. digital or analog, all that matters is that it sounds good. and it does!

    Nice take on the record Mike. It is really well produced, but most importante: really well played. Two great talents together. Caelan is an emerging force in Jazz I believe, and he'll still add many great albums and new songs. Nice guy to talk to, very passionate. Felipe

    I agree, it’s an excellent record production wise and sonically, and considering it was the first time they had played together , even more impressive

    You're clearly not one to hold a grudge, even for someone that deserves it. 🤭 Also, seems you liked it more than Ken Micallef, so I think Mikey F. owes you a beer. Not sure this is something I would spend my ducats on as there are so many other killer LPs and reissues out these days. Good video Mike. Cheers! 👽✌️

    I think you're more describing Rufus' style with what may seem like bass issues. You can hear more of it with many records over the years. A really great example and burning record is Dexter Gordon, nights at the keystone.

    Thanks for your review Mike really enjoyed it. I'm with you a two-piece jazz ensemble not really my thing, got to have some drums, just bass and piano?
    I do enjoy that Herbie Nichols trio that Blue Note put out a while back Nice three piece jazz record. 😊
