I do recall you guys said it's an awesome place to live (it is 👌, got a condo near the central park you visited). Lotsa food options there to try, it's closer to the Laguna, Batangas and other provincial areas, and there's a Sweet X joint there too! 😄🙌 Edit: "Uncle John's" is named after John Gokongwei, the late CEO/ founder of Universal Robina (Ministop's Philippine holding company, and owner of Robinson's Galleria, among many other things). They rebranded because the main Japanese brand holder from Japan sold the full business to Robina. So it's now 100% Filipino owned 👌 Btw, do try Brother's Burger before you go! It's kinda more on the greasy side compared to Sweet X, but has an awesome grilled taste. If you end up liking it, there's a branch in Alabang too! 😂 And it's not too far from the Sweet X branch over there as well.
Malls in the Philippines are way better than here in the US, and it's more fun, too, and more stores inside you name it locals and international! And, of course, countless food courts and restaurants! Shoppers here have more serious faces 😄

if u want to enter these "eskenitas"..small street communities i suggest use 100% gut feeling..then ease on it..look for open wide entries or exits..then try to walk maybe 1 minute or 1-5 meters inside and get a "feel". always look for barangay/tanod outposts. these are local community security.

Philippines is literally like one of Cyberpunk cities. You get to see High End very modern part of a city and then just a few walks you're already in the slumps area. I live in the province and our "city proper" area has a lot of malls, hotels, and high rise buildings concentrated in one area only. And in that area with those hotels and malls are little alleyways where "at night" brings color to the place 😁 Dark alleyways, night bars with neon lights, some punks on the streets, etc..literally cyberpunk-like streets 😄
I felt super exposed seeing you guys roam around the city I live in and in places I am frequent to, which makes me wonder how come I don't get to bump into you guys eversince last year, that would've been wonderful 😄 but enjoy your stay in the city again ☺
YES! Arcys is like barqs but more... bubbly... Personally Barqs is my favorite but mom doesnt quite like it and she always preferred AnW and yeah Zesto is the worst rootbeer. Its sad that You can only get barqs in SnR now and some odd shops.
Try the Sweet Ecstasy branch in Jupiter street, it's much more quieter. It's still my favourite burger place in Manila, even if it costs an arm and a leg.
It does cost an arm and a leg. And it's even pricier than Shake Shack's burgers. But IMO, Sweet Ecstasy's burgers tastes best among its class of gourmet burgers. And then there's, for me, Tropical Hut for the lower-priced burgers.
But you are just leaving Metro Manila right? Go up north, stay a bit in the Cordilleras while it’s summer. It’s boiling here in Manila, not very comfortable weather 🔥 ☀️
