It always anger me if children asked money from people. But I appreciate you for not giving them any. These street children were told that foreigners are easy money, because some foreigners would toss a dollar like nothing. Teaching these children to be beggars. Thank you for being different. High respect to both of you. Anyway, please be careful always, and enjoy your exploration.
Props to you both for going to that part of the metro. You are the only vloggers that i know of who consistently go to the less popular spots or spots that you would expect tourists to go to.
You should definitely hire a guide when exploring historic areas like Chinatown and Intramuros. Old Manila Walk tours are one of the well known tour guides that can guide you to the best restaurants, attractions and historical areas in the city. Also can’t believed you missed out on another mall tour when Lucky Chinatown mall is just under your noses at some point. Their foodcourt have authentic Chinese food stalls too. Binondo Chinatown was actually created by then Spanish Governor of Philippines to segregate the Chinese immigrants and traders in Manila to be able to keep an eye on them and to easily convert them in Catholism too. The Churches you have seen dates back to Spanish colonial times. The fancy Chinese Deli you saw is a famous old Filipino-Chinese chain. They have the best savory and sweet hopia in town.
be careful where are you going to, avoid small alleys, not well-lighted streets or those that with too few or with no people, generally people are decent but there are those kinds that you have to be mindful in dealing with, those kids are kind of rowdy ! it's better to be safe👍🇵🇭...
I'm sad you're not getting the full experience of the food that you're eating. A lot of the food you're eating, you're not putting any condiments on them. Always ask diners beside you how to eat a certain food and if they need to have condiments partnered with a certain dish.
Agreed, they did the same thing with their Mang Inasal challenge, they ordered sisig instead of the "inasal"/chicken, lol. Ironic thing is, they dont seem to be shy but they dont ask or interact much with locals
Agree on this, they would have a better experience in their dining if they atleast know how to use the condiments and other ingredients they seem to do it on their own. They can ask even the waiter politely on how to eat or what to put in their foods to make it more special and delicious.
@@rgnald I think theyre too comfortable having each other that they dont feel the need to actually interact and chat with the locals. Unlike those solo vloggers who have no choice but to talk with locals to find theirselves around
You guys are brave enough to visit some places in metro without any guide. At least, you experienced what it look like here, everything the people, the places, and the foods of the Philippines. Thanks, you are not that judgemental about us. We have so much to offer for you as tourists. Remember always, we were also colonized by your country before that's why we speak your language too. Good luck to your vlogs i enjoyed it.
I like it that you always give your honest reaction on everything in a good way. Flowery words are too overused when it comes to vloggers who comes to the philippines so you two are a breath of fresh air. Always be careful though. Unto the next EPIC BOYZ ADVENTURE!!!😄
Like some people mentioned here before...don't be afraid to ask the locals (including the servers) on how best to eat food that you order. You're missing out on fully experiencing Filipino cuisines. Use the dipping sauces, the calamansi, etc....And if you do not enjoy it after eating how the locals eat, that is fair enough too. At least, you tried it the Filipino way 🙂 But I'm enjoying your vlogs on your trip so far. Stay safe as well.
OMG... just done mind those kids.. they don't know what they are doing... i would suggest if you want to explore areas like these.. get someone who can guide you.. be careful guys..And please don't forget to visit Cebu. Just relax and keep going.. Keep safe to Both.
That's not the oldest restaurant in Manila Chinatown. The oldest are 1. 'NEW TOHO FOOD CENTER' (1888) at 422 Tomas Pinpin Street, Binondo, Manila. The Pancit Canton remains a favorite, along with treats like the Kikiam. 2. 'AMBOS MUNDOS' (1888) at 750 Florentino Torres Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila. They serve Spanish and Filipino-Chinese cuisine.
Hey guys, that sauce was given to you for that dumpling to dip.. It could have tasted better if you squeezed calamansi and dipped those dumplings before eating. Next time... Please.. If you do not know how to eat your ordered foods, ask. As I said, there is no harm in asking. They will not serve you food which will kill you. If Filipinos eat them, you can eat them.
Biscuit boys, avoid the rude people or at least get some local friend to tour you so, you could experience the place better because they know where to go and also for your safety 😉. Like the place you dined is not the oldest Filipino-Chinese restaurant it's "TOHO PANCITERIA ANTIGUA" that's were Jose Rizal dined whe he was a live.
The kids in the plaza are more playful than rude. Even the slur ‘supot’ (meaning uncut or uncircumcised) is friendly banter. It becomes racist though, but coming from kids (teasing each other) is passable.
You guys are really cool, always be careful and dont let your guard down especially when go to a crowded area. Oh by the way, here are the list of 25 tourist places to visit in Manila: -Rizal Park -Fort Santiago -Manila ocean park -San Agustin Church -National Museum Complex -Malacanang palace -Manila zoo -Manila cathedral -Arroceros Foerest Park -Republic -Manila Baywalk -Divisoria Market -Casa Manila -Robinsons Place Mall -Greenbelt Chapel -Bahay Tsinoy -Money Museum -Binondo ( oldest chinatown) -Ayala Museum -Bonifacio Global City -Mall of Asia -San Agustin Museum Hope can help it, enjoy ! Its more fun in the Philippines 😊❤
Woooh.....watching you guys keep on walking....I feel more tired...ha.ha.ha..as if I am the one cruising Manila's Chinatown....with the smoke from cars and the heat....I wonder how you cope...he.he.he....
Great job. Enjoyed watching your videos but scared as well. Living in Metro Mnila Quezon City area for 18 yrs but avoided slum-like places after a scary encounter more than 10 years ago in the backstreets of Quiapo area. I also cant handle the smell of the old manila. But Intramuros is a must try place. Be safe always.
You guys so brave to walk around China town in Philippines. I did follow your vlogs and thank you for sharing all the countries you visited. Still a lot to watch but and I watched your vlog at LA walking Sepulveda Blvd going towards In N Out fast food by LAX airport. I started watching your channel since 2019 and I’m a fun of SB19❤️🙏❤️
Hi Guys! Hope you enjoyed exploring China town in Binondo, Quiapo, except for the pollution of course. I hope you clean your noses as they tend to gather black dust from being exposed to bad air every time. By the way, I noticed you don't use condiments much with your meals. Sometimes, you can do without them, but most Filipino/Chinese dishes taste even better when incorporated with sauce. Like for example, those noodles you had (Pancit bihon/ pancit canton), they were served to you with calamansi (cross between lemon and lime) and soy sauce, on the side (others also supply fresh chilis). They need to be mixed together and then you just scoop a bit with your teaspoon and sprinkle it on your noodles or any savoury dish. Do try if you fancy next time, just so you can experience the full flavour explosion of a dish in your mouth and discover the difference between original/plain and with use of condiments. Stay safe!
You got me really scared and nervous everytime I"ve watched your vlog. Those crowded places you've been too are not quite safe to go. Don't ever try to go to Divisoria guys or even in Quiapo area there are lot of pickpocketers and snatchers around or else your wallet might gone just in a split second. I was already a victim of snatching in Quiapo. Try to explore a descent and safe place next time. Be alert with your belongings when you are walking. Keep safe always and God bless you always.
Hope you still like manila it's different here we're on a 3rd world country. Many people are poor but they always smiling and laughing. And you guys are very down to earth when you go back home i hope you will learn more bout' philippines and we filipinos living in a simple life but very happy people and hospitable. THANK YOU!
Awesome guys, you will come back to the U.S. with so much world experience you can share to your family and friends. I hope you saw the main gateway in Chinatown by the bridge.
12:53 The Church's that you just pass is the Binondo Church's that's one of the oldest church in the Philippines, and that location you guys in, is the center of the town even in the early days the Churches are the center of the whole town.
I'm not skipping ads to show my support to our favorite biscuit bois. 🤗👍🏽. Don't be offended with those rude street children. Never mind them. Stay safe always.
Wow authentic chinese restu in china town. Looks yummy. Waiting for street foods challenge, mani (peanut, kwek kwek, isaw, balut etc etc) 😅. If you still gonna do the mang inasal chicken (grilled) unli rice challenge you may also try their halo halo it yummy too and the tamarind soup (sour soup) pork barbecue and palabok … :)
You are already very near Divisoria. The biggest streets market in Manila. People in Metro Manila and even nearby provinces go there to shop because it is there where you can buy the cheapest products. It is very famous and really very busy.
Really enjoyed your walking / food escapade. Just don't mind that one comment below on what one street kid told you. These kids are from the depressed area and they do not have represent most of the kids here in Manila. I know that you don't do research prior but I wish you made an exception to Binondo because I can see from the video that you missed a few really wanted places to eat like the presidents. You mentioned that the restaurant you went to is old 1940 but what you did not know is that in Binondo you can find the oldest restaurant in the Philippines, TOHO ANTIGUA RESTAURANT, existing since 1866 and to date is already 156 years old. If you get the chance to go to Binondo again I highly recommend that place. Really lots of fantastic places to eat in Binondo. Cheers 🥂
omg finally you're in manila. Have you been in Intramuros and Fort Santiago? i recommend you to visit there you'll enjoy there for sure. stay safe always for the both of you.
Omg! You guys are really crraaazzzyy!! 😅 If I was the one being pursued like that, I'd totally be scared. And I'm not even trying to make it sound bad or scary, nor discriminate my own people, but as a local we just kinda know which places and individuals to avoid. So I'm really glad you're having the adventure you're looking for but also take care lol! I wouldn't personally go there at late in the afternoon and definitely not at night-at least not w/o people who I can feel safe with. And that park, last time we passed by, someone kept following us. Not trying to scare you or sound negative but just speaking from experience. My gosh, don't entertain everyone who's greeting you! That's kinda dangerous.. 😭 Also, be wary of PUVs 'coz some wouldn't easily give way to pedestrians. I must say you walking down the streets of Recto (?), Carriedo and all brings back memories w/ college friends when we used to have adventures like yours. 😊 Oh my gosh! But seriously, enjoy your time here in the country and keep safe Tyler & Isaac.
Yes, they should atleast be careful and wary of the people who they mingle and talk with. Though majority are harmless, atleast dont talk to anyone in a sketchy place.
Yes!i heard the voice of Scooby doo(Isaac)😂😂😂😂😂Eeeeeepppppppiiiiic😂😂😂😂next time try to research the place you are going to coz its so dangerous.just be careful guys.enjoy the🇵🇭💖💪
You're so brave walking the streets in Manila just by yourselves. Next time be careful and always wear your mask specially if there's a lot of people that's for your safety. Stay safe and enjoy exploring.
Seemed like you missed a lot when you explored the Chinatown. If I remember it right, there are a lot of food and resto suggestions in one of your vlogs when it comes to Chinatown food tour. I even suggested too haha. There’s a clip in your video that you passed by the Shanghai fried siopao house - tourists love that place. Also, I haven’t seen you quite interacting w the locals. Ask and the locals will be more than happy to help. 🙂
The church does represent the spanish colonial era. Majority of the buildings represent the post war era. Chinatown - Escolta - Quiapo - Recto , the area was considered the business district back then before it moved to makati. Intramuros was the seat of power during the spanish era. There are a lot of old restaurants over there. I wish i could've recommended it to you.
as someone who has always taken foreign guests/tourists to walking streets like binondo, quiapo, malate and "poorer"/messier parts of metro manila, I'm pretty stoked about the fact that the biscuit boys have gamely explored these areas themselves, because not many tourists would, and clearly most filipinos seem happier that tourists only see malls and the typical tourist areas. I don't deny that there's a risk for pickpockets and scammers, but those people are everywhere around the world. I wouldn't encourage newbie/naive travellers to explore these areas alone of course, but clearly the biscuit boys are more experienced travellers already. It's ironic even that out of all the places they've explored, they got pickpockted in a mall and not in one of these "dangerous" places people keep telling them. and here's the thing. I don't blame some folks. as a provinciana, I too was constantly told that these places are dangerous. But after living in metro manila for over 13 years I've found out that it's never as dangerous as they say it is. if anything, the people that warn me against these places have never actually frequented the area. long rant, but to conclude, keep on exploring boys! I love how you guys are exploring manila better than most filipinos. but yes, just keep safe and stay vigilant!
There are lots of comments here about the food already so I'm just going to add about how you didn't get the full Binondo-Tondo tour because of how much you got lost in the streets not having a specific destination 🤣. You could have walked from Binondo (Chonatown) to Tutuban Mall (Divisoria, Tondo) and you would have the full scene of downtown Manila. It's like Hongkong. Next time go from Intramuros to all the National Museums. From there, you can also either go to Luneta Park then to US Embassy and walk along Roxas Boulevard to the Cultural Center of the Philippines. 😌👏 That's a full day according to how fast you two are walking 🤣
well that grey river is an 'estero' which is basically a drainage canal... roaming around that area in Manila can get really confusing without a guide... you guys are quite adventurous
If you ever go back to Chinatown, try the dumplings in Dong Bei, the fresh lumpia at New Po Heng and the real oldest restos in Binondo is Toho Panciteria/New Toho Food Center and Ambos Mundos.
It’s a long, circuitous trip to Chinatown you did from the Post Office to the Bonifacio Shrine, to SM Manila, and you said here you took the LRT, when you should have crossed the bridge (McArthur Bridge where you jaywalked) to Sta. Cruz or the scenic Jones Bridge that could have lead you straight to Binondo.
Generally, Filipinos are nice sep to the foreigners but just be careful in any place u may go to. Even in the wealthiest countries like America and Europe, "bad people" always lurk not only in the dark but even in broad daylight so be careful wherever u may go. But here, there are more good than bad. You may sometimes find bullies esp in the cities but when you finally go to the provinces it is where you will truly experience not just the beauty of the Philippines sceneries but more of the Filipino hospitality and courtesy.
becareful walking like that of places in Manila guys snatchers lots there a d you know pinoy are known friendly but we never know whose bad people that places you been visited .enjoy your visit and be safe specially places like that hehe
I recommend Lord Stowe's Egg Tart or Baker's Fair Dinner Roll or their square hopia (different flavors!). I also loved eating at Ling Nam! Their Beef Wonton Noodles superb! Waiying also is a good resto their in Chinatown~
I feel the second hand embarrassment when a random guy raps😂 its creeping me out even if i'm a filipino to the point that i skipped that part of the video 🤣 My gosh, bakit may mga batang bastos sa foreigners?! Jusko po! Sarap kutusan sa panga! 🙄🙄
best time to go to chinatown morning before lunch.. or after lunch.. some stores lile the famous shanghai fried siopao closes early... wai ying resto near ongpin st. usually closes late..
To commute to Intramuros is also take LRT get off at Central Station ( near SM Manila) then just cross the street using the underpass at City Hall. The entrance to Intramuros is just right there.
Why are you exploring Manila only, its crowded. And it seems your uncomfortable cause your walking to fast..go to beaches of the philippines if you want to relax
I guess you're new to this channel. They're really not that type of travelers who go to tourist spots. When they visit a country, they experience the city life there.
Whenever we go back home to the Philippines, we always go to Binondo and the Sta. Cruz, Quiapo area. IDK why but I like the feels of wandering its bustling streets than anywhere in Manila😊
Eat at ToHo Restaurant in T. Pin pin street in Chinatown. The oldest restaurant in the Philippines. Specialties Are Pancit Canton, Lumpia, Fried Chicken. National hero Jose Rizal have eaten here. Other good restaurants in Chinatown are: Ramon Lee Restaurant near Sta.Cruz church and Sincerity Restaurant in Quintin Paredes St.
You two are so addicting to watch! Every new video always leaves us wanting more! 🥰
Your raw experiences are so authentic and fun. 👍😁 Stay safe. Always be aware of your surroundings and the people around you 😉

You should get someone to teach you how to eat Filipino food the right way with the dipping sauce. It's all about the sauce lol 😆
I'm getting hungrier by the minute lol! I miss going to different cities to try out new food. Ahhhh! I miss my friends..
you guys shou;d do a collab with a filipino vlogger who could tour you and help you enjoy filipino and other asian cuisines

Ang daming bastos na bata sa Pilipinas. nakakahiya. We Love you Trifate! ❤
Oo nga ang cringy nung mga bata na bastos. Marami rin naman magagalang pa na bata pero alarming yung ganun :(
Mostly in the slum area where parents have no more time to decipline their children compare to the children in the provinces.
So true. 😢 Nakakahiya.
Ano pa ieexpect mo eh mga skwater yan produkto ng kahirapan at libog yang mga hayop na bata na yan

Yes, they should atleast be careful and wary of the people who they mingle and talk with. Though majority are harmless, atleast dont talk to anyone in a sketchy place.
Explorers! I think I've only been to a restaurant in Binondo. You inspire me to go walking around.
Yes!i heard the voice of Scooby doo(Isaac)😂😂😂😂😂Eeeeeepppppppiiiiic😂😂😂😂next time try to research the place you are going to coz its so dangerous.just be careful guys.enjoy the🇵🇭💖💪
Spend time in the provinces just like Legazpi City Southern part of Luzon apprecite if you visit here you'll see our Majestic Mayon Volcano
Okay i feel embarrassed about those kids 😭 nakakahiya talaga oemgeee
Agree. It's frustrating that they dont feel like asking locals. We speak English, c'mon!
You should try eating those dumplings with a garlic chili soy sauce + calamansi (lime) sause. That would be so good 🙂 Its all about the sauce hehe
Great to see china town bro... Im planning to go there
Love the adventure.
it's epic of you both to venture the depths of manila without a local to guide you. just keep safe, OK!
They are so friendly to see two walking cash roamimg around the city.. lol.
You guys are funny, have fun
as someone who has always taken foreign guests/tourists to walking streets like binondo, quiapo, malate and "poorer"/messier parts of metro manila, I'm pretty stoked about the fact that the biscuit boys have gamely explored these areas themselves, because not many tourists would, and clearly most filipinos seem happier that tourists only see malls and the typical tourist areas.
Be careful guys..looking forward to see you in some tourist attraction here in the Philippines..
I’m always watching your videos. Here in California
Goofy and friends are so funny ..never fail to entertain us. 👍keep safe.
Keep safe guys
well that grey river is an 'estero' which is basically a drainage canal... roaming around that area in Manila can get really confusing without a guide... you guys are quite adventurous
It's more like open sewer rather than drainage canal
Enjoy eating and exploring guys 🇵🇭
The thin noodles called BIJON/BIHON is prepared from ground rice and the thicker noodles called CANTON or MIKI is prepared from eggs & flour.
Spiral buffet is at solaire hotel at the cultural center area...
Cool
Keep safe and be careful you both.
14:51 SUPOT means uncircumcised hahahahahha the Kid is teasing you, maybe even him is not circumcise hahahhahahaha

I recommend Lord Stowe's Egg Tart or Baker's Fair Dinner Roll or their square hopia (different flavors!). I also loved eating at Ling Nam! Their Beef Wonton Noodles superb! Waiying also is a good resto their in Chinatown~
I feel the second hand embarrassment when a random guy raps😂 its creeping me out even if i'm a filipino to the point that i skipped that part of the video 🤣
My gosh, bakit may mga batang bastos sa foreigners?! Jusko po! Sarap kutusan sa panga! 🙄🙄
Yuppppp me too .

To commute to Intramuros is also take LRT get off at Central Station ( near SM Manila) then just cross the street using the underpass at City Hall. The entrance to Intramuros is just right there.
LOL that kid shouting Supot is a TWERP!!!! disrespectful!!! LOL! stay away from them!!! but you handled them epically!!! BE SAFE THAT IS CHINA TOWN!
Why are you exploring Manila only, its crowded. And it seems your uncomfortable cause your walking to fast..go to beaches of the philippines if you want to relax
I guess you're new to this channel. They're really not that type of travelers who go to tourist spots. When they visit a country, they experience the city life there.
Because that’s what they wanna do. If you’ve been watching they will be here for awhile.
Whenever we go back home to the Philippines, we always go to Binondo and the Sta. Cruz, Quiapo area. IDK why but I like the feels of wandering its bustling streets than anywhere in Manila😊
You'd enter at the back of the town guys, you must enter the town from the jones bridge (beside the post office), that's where the arc of china town..
Ay naku. Those kidsss
Nice one…
Take care always guys!
That's adventurous. I would like to go there one of these days. There must be some dishes for vegetarians there.
