This is a good interview for FilAm. I guess Filipino parents living outside the Philillines should not forget to teach their children with the Filipino values and speaking the language (Tagalog) so when their kids travel to the Philippines they know what to expect when they get their. I do not admire Filipino who neglects his own culture.
Of course, in every country there is bright and dark side that everyone (expats or local) would experience. I have been to several countries like Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Qatar, Allgeria, Angola, Ghana, Nigeria, Switzerland, Negherland, France, Thailand, and now 8 years in the USA. And i can concur that even on those developed countries there were bad and good things that i had experience. I will never betray my own country and its culture. I am always proud to be a Filipino and will never exchange Philipines with any of those country that i had been to. We have things that other countries don't have and that is why no matter where i am, i always think of going back to my country. There is no better place like home as people say.

  • @repapips8774
    @repapips8774 Год назад +9

During the cold war the term 1st 2nd and 3rd world countries was started.
1st world were countries alligned with the us and its allies.
2nd world were countries alligned with russia and its allies.
    3rd world are neutral countries.
So if we use those terms in the manner it was made for finland, sweden, ireland, austria and switzerland are considered 3rd world countries and since Philippines is an ally of the us(western countries) techincally Philippines would be 1st world. That is if we use the term based on its original purpose.
Now the correct term if we base it on GDP, philippines would be considered a newly industrialized country. Not just developing.
    Which lines Philippines with
Malysia, indonesia, thailand, taiwan, singapore, turkey, mexico, russia, china and south africa.
Think i made this up? Do your research on the list of newly industrialized countries.. also check the history of cold war and when the term 1st, 2nd and 3rd world country was started and why. 👍🤙

While this topic may be sensitive to some, it's important to acknowledge that the Philippines is categorized as a developing nation. Referring to the country as a "third-world country" can carry negative connotations, given its historical context. Nowadays, there are more respectful alternatives, such as "developing nation" or similar terms, that accurately describe its status.
Drawing a parallel, using the term "Negro" for Black individuals has negative implications, and it's preferable to address them as Black people. This same principle applies here-the choice of terminology should be mindful and respectful, recognizing the country's developmental stage without using terms that may carry unintended negative associations.

Watch out for your words, Bro "third world country"?! Please be careful, because I'm sure you will disappoint the Filipinos and other nationalities who put in effort just to help grow the Philippines. I know you want a direct statement, but do proper research. Here is the meaning of it: (source: WIKIPEDIA) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_World

"developing" is the right term....there are poorer countries than the philippines (underdeveloped) but philippines is under the list of developing countries...it is not rich but neither a poor country.
1st, 2nd, 3rd world countries are group of countries belong to a bloc during cold-war era when communism is at its peak
      3rd world countries are neither pro-western (1st world) nor pro-communists (2nd world)

      First world countries:
US, WEST EUROPE, JAPAN, SOUTH KOREA, TAIWAN and allies
Second world countries: SOVIET UNION, CHINA, CUBA, NORTH KOREA, VIETNAM and allies
      Third world countries: Non-Aligned/Neutral Countries
These terminology is outdated and considered an insult especially dahil di na dapat siya ginagamit since the end of Cold War.
      First World Countries:
      Japan (Develop)
      South Africa (Developing)
      South Sahara (Least Develop)
      Second World Countries:

There is SOOO MUCH that they are missing and have not experienced growing up in terms of culture and traditions. Like this guy above all he knows about the Philippines is THEORY and WORD of MOUTH. Experience wise he is not even 1% of that LOL
