My name is Canaan Manley and I am the proprietor of Basin Motorsports. Can you put this on after putting on a thicker exhaust tunnel plate that is ceramic coated? I want to put a 3/8" elite engineering exhaust tunnel plate on my C6 for the heat and also to sudden up the body a little because my car is a convertible.
It should be no problem using the thicker plate.
Hi there nice video, do you know if this part is for C6 Z06 as well?
There are separate part numbers for the C5 and C6 (shapes are slightly different), but they fit all respective models. All C6 (base, Z06, etc.).
@@BasinMotorsports does this kit really solves the heat in the cabin? I had a Corvette C6 before and never had this problem, but with this Z06 the heat is unbearable ...I found a product from Lingenfelter but cost $436. Thanks for your quick reply
@@mrphil4085 It does make a difference. I did the Boom Mat interior sound deadener and this heat shield last winter and they definitely made a difference. The console is cooler to the touch. The only thing that still gets warm is the shifter handle, but neither of these can fix that. My A/C typically freezes me out of the car easily in the summer. If you don't need it right away use Google shopping and find the part for the lowest price. I think I got my kit from Throttle for a good chunk less than everywhere else, but it took a month or so to get.

Does this kit also fit the c7? Can’t find reliable info online , anyone know ?
DEI only has a converter shield listed for the C7. No trans tunnel option that I can find.
