The lions in these private reserves that live amongst other animals also, they have seen humans ,know the scent of humans like the ones in Safaris and know humans are different from their prey. The ones in these zoos have also been around humans,see humans everyday .. I never said there wasn't lions that didn't eat humans. I said they are very intelligent and know the difference between what food is , and what humans are

This happened to my nephew, when he was a baby, but he wasn’t close up to glass. We have the lions at our zoo, with just a fence and a big ditch between them, and us. Needless to say his grandmother did not take it as a joke, but as a real threat, and moved my nephew to a safer area. This was when he was in a walker as well, so it’s amazing the lioness even saw him. I don’t know, somehow, I don’t think this is very funny, or something to joke about. They’re still wild animals, and opportunistic feeders. That was really a huge reminder of that lesson that day for us.

This happened to me when I was a toddler. The lioness was in this jeep getting ready to be transferred to a preserve and they were offering pictures. She started owing and biting at me and the worker told us that lionesses usually do that to young children and it’s normal. But yeah, the lioness was really hoping for a snack that day
