I grew up on a farm and my dad had a Ford 860. It had a front end loader we used for cleaning manure out of the barn. It could pull a 3 bottom plow all day. Dad bought a new John Deere haybine and a new John Deere round baler in the mid 80’s and his Ford 860 could cut, rake, bale and transport enough hay to the barn for a 70 year old man to do it all by himself.
Love it!! I took down some monster trees this year and I couldn’t believe the strength of this 860 to lift and carry monster logs across the property. Such a work horse! Thanks for sharing bud!
I have had mine since 1998. I drive it slow…..and I keep engine rpm below 3000 in any gear. I have had several close calls …..It does not have modern safety features. I drive slower… hint hint
