In this video, Googoosh is an old Iranian singer. She is a legend for Iranians. She has many honors in her youth and was the greatest female singer. She has a unique talent in art. After the revolution, she returned to Iran and to my disbelief, she was not executed (because most female artists were executed, and Googoosh was one of the most important ones). She was banned from leaving Iran for 21 years and she remained silent for 21 years until she was able to leave Iran and continue her artistic activity. For the people of Iran, Googoosh is a certificate of Iran that always stands by the people and her tears are painful. Also, Leila Forouhar and Shohreh Aghdashloo are one of the old artists before the Islamic Revolution.

I can't even fathom what the artist of that time went through . To be forced to leave your country your home so you can keep your passion and save your career , or in googoosh case , be forced to be silent and not do something you have so much passion for , especially with thet voice and that talent , I can't even imagine how much depressing and suffocating that must be .

@@kajhalkasraei2796 Yes, many documentaries have been made about the bitter and sad story of this artist. That is really sad. She started her artistic activity when she was 3 years old. And when the revolution happened, she was only 28 years old.
They took the stage from her, took her property and went to the point where she had to sell her clothes. She has endured a lot of suffering. But she is always in people's hearts.

Oh and btw, the woman in these songs were huge pop stars back in Monarchist Iran before the revolution, They had to leave after the revolution for their own safety and 43 years later Iranian people still love them and it's a big deal when they make a new song.

Tnx friend. Googoosh and Leila was very famous before the Islamic republic revolution, but after that mullahs banded female singers, they had no choice but to leave the country. So there is no female singer in Iran. From the beginning of Islamic revolution, they started to oppress women. Women are not allowed to be judges and president or singer. It's awful to be a women in Iran. It's a nightmare. Before the Islamic revolution women were free to sing.
