Not difficult to get elder/deviants. Buy Expedition (N) tickets for 30k from Hakolo merchant. Burn through grabbing chests for Bottlecaps. I Velkhana really that good? I just got one yesterday and at lv 24 it's stats are far below monsters of similar lvs and more comparable to a lv 12 Zamtrios. Or did I just get a bad Velkhana?
Just in case you have not seen the answer, You did "not" get a bad Velk. Velkhana like other Elder dragons have a "Slow" progression. This means that their stats increase slowly to start with, and starts skyrocketing later on in the level curve. A lot of the early low-rank monsters have a "Fast" progression, which means they get most of their stats early on and taper off so that they will not reach as high values in later levels Once your Velkhana gets some more levels, you will see its stats starting to increase a lot more.
@NAIA I wonder if that would be the case if 3 of the bigger influencers did not push them to the top like that. "5 best genes to go for" is going to make it so people only use them. "5 best monsters" and good luck to anything else. Looking forward to working towards a counter. Without the clicks, it cuts into the ad revenue though I am sure.
That tend to happen when the braindeads copy/paste off the internet. Coincidentally, they aren't going to advance the meta as they will be the ones losing. Bad players rely on good stats, good players can take bad stats and make them good to win.
My squad is almost the same, except I use Thunderlord instead of Kirin. I just love Zinogre too much to replace Thunderlord or Stygian Edit: fixed a word

What about Nergigante? is So Powerfull and hit very well, I prefer Rajang instead Kirin...good video
It's an outdated video
Nergigante is better for me because he can target specific part of Monsters with his kinship and destroy it faster unlike bloodbath ( multi target )
Kirin had the highest crit but weak ho overall
I prefer Rajang too max atk but low def BUT Boltreaver Astalos has the best balaced stats and max crit rate too
But i'm still using kirin/rajang/astalos regularly because everyone of them is unique to me
Bro is kirin seriously attacking twice a turn as a monstie? I'm about to get a kirin if that's the case
Kirin is cool and all but I'll stick with my OP red khezu for thunder loll.
Water being underrepresented doesn't surprise me at this point :(
The whole water element isn't seen very often on strong monsters in MonHun.
Man ef these monsters and the dlcs I wanna ride a agnaktor :^(
it's not in the game and won't happen but I want to ride a Dalamadur XD
@@JimmySquiky it IS in the game just its one of the monsters which you don't get as a monstie which Is a major bummer
@@p0kemasterge0ff Oh well. I'm not there yet. I finished the story but I haven't done that much of the end game content. I'm at the elder floor 8.
@@JimmySquiky you kidding right? Agaknator is found quite often in the volcano zones near nua te village
@@p0kemasterge0ff oh sorry. I wasn't talking about Agnaktor. I'm talking about Dalamadur.
lists all ED good one bruv
You are lucky on getting all those elder/deviant dens I haven’t got one yet
Not difficult to get elder/deviants.
Buy Expedition (N) tickets for 30k from Hakolo merchant. Burn through grabbing chests for Bottlecaps. Buy SR expedition tickets from cat merchant for 100 Bottlecaps. Create an SR expedition which is guaranteed at least one elder/deviant egg from the boss nest and has a good chance for more in the other three.
@@MrBCJACK another tip, if your using expedition N tickets make sure to bring a Nargacuga with you to make getting the chests easier, so you can quickly grab them all up with no monster trying to constantly engage you.
Nerg actually has a higher base non-ele atk (642 lv99) Vs Bloodbath with 639. Also, Jho is better for PvE.
No, Nergi has 631 and Bloodbath 641
@@soulofsomething6651 I literally have a Nerg at 642 and 3 copies of Bloodbath at 639. The statsheet from Kiranco has errors, if that's what you're referring to.
@@mleong75 did you take egg boosts, stims and genes into account? Because if your using that nergi it could be boosted, whereas it doesn't seem like you've done anything with the bloodbaths if you have 3 with all same stats
@@michaelsnyman2800 Nope, I made sure it wasn't boosted and he didn't came with might gene. I have 2 other Nergs with 642 too. Leveled multiple just to make sure. All Nergs and Bloodbaths came from rainbow eggs.
for pvp i prefer nerg too. has better speed and getting to cast arachnophobia first and inflicting status gives you such a big advantage in the start of s match
Has anyone else had issues with moving the character when the camera is facing the back of them!?
I'd rather use D.jho instead of S.Zinogre because jho is weak to dragon, in other words himself, S.Zinogre and dragon pala.
S.Zinogre is weak to thunder that has a lot more dangerous opponents, such as Thunderlord, Kirin etc
But that is just me.
Pfft. Glavenus looks cooler then teostra. Gonna stick with him
Please make something on kushala doara.
My palamute out damaged every elder I ever seen in multiplayer.
Man k wanna do a draco kulu ya ku but it still kinda hare for me to understand the gene trasnfer system
dragon dog>stygian
you can put dragonfist on any monstie
My team
Legiana
Mizetzune
Astoalos
Stygian
Azure rathalos
Ratha/
Also can you switch out ratha after you beat the game
My man Deviljho getting screwed again.
How is he being screwed? He's one of the most powerful monsters in the game. He's the hardest hitting dragon monster.
@@guardian_of_the_rune screwed off the list
Valstrax or Xeno Jiiva would be the perfect speed/dragon type.
Valstrax should have it's own unique riding action: Jet.
Like Fly, you can take to the skies & explore more freely...
But a LOT faster!!!
WHOOOOOSSSHHHHH!!!
If they ever do have Valstrax as a Monstie & it just has boring ol' Fly instead of something like this...
Then we know for sure that they are being lazy.
I have a question, if red was an old grandpa, how TF Is our old friends like cheval and Lilia and reverto, not old like red?
Because Red is a different Rider from a different Village, The MC of the first game is called Lute and he is the friend of Lilia and Cheval, Red is just a New character
@@user-mm2zj3mz3u ohhh, I thought red was who we played last time. Thanks, I was very confused.
The biggest question is bloodbath diablos or nergigante?
Does Slow Growth dictate what monstie I should build for long term
you guys see those pitiful Patch notes for Stories 2. they have thier blinders on for sure.
How do you put hearts on the monsties you like the best? just what button I use for that.
i just bought mhs2. Btw as for lightning why not go with boltreaver astalos? Sure it's no elder dragon, but it's so freaking cool, more than a horse at least imho.
As for dragon, why not go with silver rathalos build with dragon genes? I build a dragon silver rathalos in mhs1 and it's a potent dragon dps
As for fire, can molten tigrex and dreadking rathalos be a good alternative other than teostra? What about hellblade glavenus?
What about rajang for thunder element ??? Mine is level 60 ans I can hit like 3200 dmg in 1 critical hit.
I Velkhana really that good? I just got one yesterday and at lv 24 it's stats are far below monsters of similar lvs and more comparable to a lv 12 Zamtrios. Or did I just get a bad Velkhana?
Yes, Velkhana when built up is an absolute powerhouse.
Just in case you have not seen the answer, You did "not" get a bad Velk. Velkhana like other Elder dragons have a "Slow" progression.
This means that their stats increase slowly to start with, and starts skyrocketing later on in the level curve.
A lot of the early low-rank monsters have a "Fast" progression, which means they get most of their stats early on and taper off so that they will not reach as high values in later levels
Once your Velkhana gets some more levels, you will see its stats starting to increase a lot more.
How do the palamutesatch up to the top picks?
I use a no element palamount for low rank he does a lot of crits i love use it
How did you get a palamute in low rank?
@@irondisciple2984 i not supposed to?

Jade Cocoon vibes
And just like that, monster variety began to die.
Agreed
@NAIA I wonder if that would be the case if 3 of the bigger influencers did not push them to the top like that. "5 best genes to go for" is going to make it so people only use them. "5 best monsters" and good luck to anything else. Looking forward to working towards a counter. Without the clicks, it cuts into the ad revenue though I am sure.
That tend to happen when the braindeads copy/paste off the internet. Coincidentally, they aren't going to advance the meta as they will be the ones losing. Bad players rely on good stats, good players can take bad stats and make them good to win.
@@theinternetsightseer2935 But mah status attacks!
@NAIA exactly
What about the dragon palamute?
Is there an update with the release of the new monsters?
My squad is almost the same, except I use Thunderlord instead of Kirin. I just love Zinogre too much to replace Thunderlord or Stygian
Edit: fixed a word
Wish this list is without elder dragon or deviants included 😕
Why?
I’m currently working on building up a Kirin, anyone have any gene suggestions for it? What I’ve been going for currently is stuff that causes paralysis.
Thunderlords chrage up move? I think astalos has an aoe that causes paralis

Is brachydios a good fire option? I love brachydios as he is my favourite monster of all time. I want to use him so badly when I eventually get stories 2 and I want to know if he is good for PvE and PvP. Is he?
Brachy is definitely a solid pick. It gets hard outclassed by Teostra but honestly, just about every other fire option does. As far as PVE goes just pick what you like and roll with it dude. Fill out your bingo charts and they'll scale well into the endgame. PVP meta is probably going to be a lot smaller of a pool but even then you could probably make due with Brachy if that's what you wanna do.
@Elma Exxxtra Thicc
Thanks for the info. I figured brachydios would be outclassed by teostra, but I hate him, so screw teo. But still, much appreciated.
Dood, my brute tigrex hits like 2k nonelemental after maxing power bingos
Gonna make my Rajang eat your Kirin.
I want to ride alatreon my favorites monster
i think water palamute are best water monstie at the momen. he have less hp but more att and spd then Mizutsune
Is it better ? I'm looking for an water monstie but can't decide if mizu or palamute
@@alexanderwilches3654 Very late to reply and you may have the answer already. For me I would say go for who you want you want between those 2. As by the look of it most people could make them better for any monstie
What does speed do?
Couldn't you just use genes to change a monsties element like in stories 1 or is it different in stories 2
The developers supposedly scrapped most of the element changing function, but theres leftovers for monsters from MHS1.
Mizutsune is better than palamute? Pls anybody can tell me
Are palamutes not viable, then?
I am curious in lightning isnt rajang and kirin are par in term of attack ? Tho rajang has lower speed and crit but it does provider longer HP and def
ragang is the best monster of thunder
Bulldrome is best non elemental
should i use none meta monsties in high rank ?
You can Use Non Meta Monsters in High Rank
