    Great car, great vid. I hope your longer review includes a proper test of the voice commands. It needs to cope with accents and a German accent is a great test. I love your accent but I want to know that Tesla responds well, too. Imaging how it will be if the Teslas get Grok!

    • @TeslaFix

      I did not test the voice command feature… Well, time to get back in the Tesla and record more footage for the review 🥲
      This could be a video on its own, when I think about it 😃
      The implementation of grok would be INSANE! This would raise the value of the car immensely!

    I don't pay attention to exterior panel gaps because many German cars have this issue but for some reason nobody talks about it. But what I hear from owners is that Model 3 don't do well precisely car things such as ride quality and road noise insulation. I understand that in this refresh they addressed this issues but it only can be slightly better because the car uses the same platform, same manufacturing process and most of the parts are the same. And in the end if the car in this departments became great there wouldn't be a need in Model S and marketing team wouldn't allow it under no circumstances.😄
    You're just more tech guy than a car guy and you don't pay much attention to ride quality and sound insulation and it's fine. We all different. I'm gonna tell you my story. I had 07 Lexus LS460 and was lucky to have a ride in 13 Tesla Model S. Both of them new cost around 100K $. While technology and infotainment in Tesla was so great that my Lexus could only dream about and it had mind bending acceleration, car just didn't feel premium. For example, Lexus ride is smoother, the way doors close is more solid and even such minor thing like operation of power windows feels nicer, and etc. But with all my love to LS460 it wasn't perfect. Over time, central panel in the interior near windscreen began to squeak in cold weather, it had very weak front suspension that didn't last long on my countries bad roads and it costs very much because it's aluminum multi-joint, sound insulation from tires is a touch not enough for this class of vehicle, in my opinion.
    If you will have this car for a long time, it will be nice to see from you videos with glitches, reliability issues and repairs if any of it happens.
    With that said, Model 3 is a great car. It's infotainment at least 5 years ahead of all competition. It's energy consumption at least 5 years ahead of all competition. It's technology at least 5 years ahead of all competition. In my opinion, it's the best model in Tesla lineup and the best overall package you can get in this price point. Certainly better than electric crap from Volkswagen, Toyota, Hyundai and Chinese brands.

    • @TeslaFix
      @TeslaFix  Год назад

      Like you’ve said, with the model 3 they’ve addressed those road noise problems.
      Thanks for the lengthy comment! You’ve made interesting points and it is nice to hear from someone with experience. I am a perfectionist and if something would be off, I would notice it. I will keep you updated if anything changes with the car.

    are u from germany ?(car plate: D) I am between Tesla model 3 highland SR and BMW 1.18i M sport. yes they are different categories but I have to choose one of them ! which one ?

    • @TeslaFix
      @TeslaFix  Год назад +1

      Yes I’m from Germany. 😃
      If I could choose I would ALWAYS take the Tesla model 3 Highland over the BMW 118i… It isn’t even a question for me. The BMW will be decent car, but in comparison it will feel like a dinosaur.
      The model 3 Highland has so many luxury features like auto lock (when you walk near the car with your phone it unlocks). It remembers your profile and will set the everything up when you get close. You can register different drivers VIA EMAIL LINK remotely!!! 😍 If they change the settings of the seat, steering wheel, mirrors etc. it will be saved on their profile too!
      The built quality is superb, the sound dampening of the road noise is insane, the sound system is incredible (now with 17 speakers), in winter you can let your car defrost itself in the morning before you go to the car or you can just let your car pre heat before you leave for work.
      The software is incredible. Never had an issue so far. It is super responsive and feels like an iPad.
      You have a screen for the back seats where your passengers can watch Netflix on the go.
      Damn I could go on for ages. I would recommend doing a test drive (I didn’t do one with the Highland before I bought it, I knew it was awesome 🤪)
      Use my recommendation link for the test drive ( ts.la/biella89787 )
      I get some perks like free supercharging if you book it through the link.

    I bought a Model Y online. I would not have bought it if I had driven it first. In the Model Y there is no sense of how the car is in the space around it. Particularly you MUST trust the images the car displays on its screens because you can't get a sense of how near the cars, trees, curbs, etc. are around the car by looking out from inside the car.
    Please say how easy it is to see what is happening in back of the Model 3? Can you tell how close cars are behind you. Can you tell how safe it is to lane change without hitting cars in the adjacent lanes? Can you parallel park the Model 3 with confidence and ease?
    Is the Model 3 like the Model Y in that the only way to know how the car fits in its environment is by interpreting the display images supplied by the car's cameras?

    • @TeslaFix
      @TeslaFix  Год назад +1

      Parking backwards is absolutely no problem. The 3d vie in combination with the cameras is sufficient IMO. But I would love to have a front facing camera on the bumper. But still parking is not a problem. I still had to get used to the new car dimensions. It is broader than I’ve thought. (I did own a small car before)
      The visibility in the model 3 is great, especially to the front. But since you can’t see the end of the hood of the car the camera would be nice.
      Lane changes are no problem. I rely on the cameras and I’ve got used to it. It has also a blind spot led in the mesh of the speakers in the corners next to the side mirrors (it is hidden and just lights up, when something is there)
      You can see the curbs in the mirrors while driving backwards. The mirrors adjust themselves down so you can see the curb.

    • @Audioremedy0785
      @Audioremedy0785 Год назад

      I don’t really understand this comment - I have never driven a car and experienced this…. In a Tesla model Y you have mirrors which show you all around the car. In addition to that you have several cameras that you can view and also parking sensors. What more do you need… 😂

    • @kloobey1
      @kloobey1 Год назад +1

      The rear camera view distorts the distance between the car and what is behind you so that you think the cars back there are further back than they are. This is a problem when backing into a parallel parking spot. This is a problem when doing a lane change because the adjacent cars appear further away than they actually are. You can compensate for this somewhat if you adjust your side mirrors for it. The inside mirror is useless unless the day is bright because of the small view out the back and the tint of the roof glass. The Model Y is a different car. You have to drive it by trusting the technology and not just what you can see around the car. I'm hoping they have addressed some of these issues in the revised Model 3. Until they do just be very careful until you have adjusted to referencing the car's technology and not just your views from the car.@@Audioremedy0785

    Why only positives? No car is perfect. It's like paid promo material. I understand that you are a fan of a brand, but try to be more objective. Ultimately, you paid your hard earned money for it.

    • @TeslaFix
      @TeslaFix  Год назад +1

      The problem is I really don’t have anything negative to say! I’ve mentioned phantom draining, which I don’t like of course. But I much rather have a long lasting battery… Sentry mode draws too much power, but YOU GET SENTRY MODE! If you park somewhere you can see who scratched your car. That’s super nice!
      I really would have to come up with bigger flaws to find something. It is hard to find anything negative with the Model 3 Highland.
      I didn’t stumble on any negatives besides 2 negatives which I cover in my bigger review. It is super lengthy to explain. It has something to do with "easy entry" and the "Panik mode".

    The screen in the centre of the vehicle is a massive destruction of driving, they’re using it while driving menu heater select taking their eyes off the road. I can alter my heating without taking my eyes off the road for more than half a second. Government studies have found that they are more dangerous than using a mobile phone because every time they use the driver has their eyes off the road for a minimum 15 seconds in a 3 second period. They should never have been allowed
    As you showed speed of windscreen wipers you have to go into menu and then choose your setting.

    • @TeslaFix
      @TeslaFix  Год назад

      Look the video where I adjust the wipers. You don’t have to look on the screen to change the speed. Press the wiper touch button on the steering wheel and use the left thumb bib to adjust the speed.
      Additionally 15sec?! That’s ridiculous. You don’t have to do that. Look at accident statistics. The Teslas have a great track record on safety. It has the best collision avoidance features as highlighted multiple times in the crash test reports.

    • @MikeSmith-ye9ho
      @MikeSmith-ye9ho Год назад

      @@TeslaFix sometimes you don’t have to look at the screen, but as you showed on the video to manually override the sensor you used the screen different heater settings you use the screen. One of the biggest problem this government investigation found was charger stress they’re using the screen to find suitable charges while they are moving. I drove into Cheltenham here in Britain three days ago. In that one journey, I was stuck behind somebody on a green traffic light who was fiddling with the screen. I was nearly sideswiped by another one, until I tooted my horn who came across three lanes only then to go back to the very inside lane. He was wandering across the road with his fingers tapping the screen. I’m sorry you will not convince me that while driving you should not be using the screen but unfortunately people are if you have to pull over to use the screen I don’t have an issue but it’s activated LOL. You are driving so that means you can use it. These are studies that have been carried out by the British government and the European Union. Just look at people walking down the street, not looking where they’re going but looking at their mobile phone A similar thing is happening with the screens. Are you responsible drivers as you know, anything that takes, the drivers eyes off the road is definitely not a good thing
