Hey I want to buy a cybercab. No steering wheel, that's fine. It will be fun to figure out. Let's say I have tight parking in the garage. I want to be able to get out and let the car park. It parks very well right now backing into a space. But in the garage you might have to point it to a space and call it a parking spot. I think the app will have to have a virtual steering wheel or at least forward and backward button.

FYI - I have a 2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range with now ASS which does NOT work properly. On two different occasions at the same location, I attempted ASS but my car headed towards the exit driveway and into a busy street and I had to immediately remove my finger from the "Go To Target" icon and I had to run to the car 100 ft from where I was located so that the car did not block other cars.

Waymo are saying that they are going to compete with Tesla using FSD. However. They only have the data from their ring fenced areas and nothing out side of this. What are they going to do if somebody wants a Taxi outside of this area and they don't have the data to drive somewhere else?

@Farzad: In Germany there are many people who don't use Amazon because they hate Jeff Bezos, and the way he has changed the world. Mostly old people above the age of 70, and I know a few of them. But I don't think these people hate Elon, even if they don't understand him ...

What an informative video! The robotaxi is going to be a game changer. Im jumping on the red pill Elon train! Im going to purchase hundreds of them and make millions from driving people for 5 cents a mile just sitting back and letting FSD to its thing! Get rid of all those pesky Uber and Lyft drivers who think they deserve to make $20/hr to feed their family. Who needs them Elon is the smartest one and deserves to be the first trillionare!

I would disagree. Yes, the Robotaxi is going to drive revenue later. However, the Megapack energy storage system will drive significant revenue for Tesla during the next 36 months. AI Data Centers being the major driver for energy storage and demand. Secondly, Optimus Robot will propel revenue growth starting in 2027 and going forward.

Do people realize how the Teslabot is going to help people age in place as well as serve as care takers of elderly people? Remember the demographic shift in the US will not leave enough people to care for the elderly. There will be a huge market for these care robots.

I think in time, the Tesla Robotaxi will change the car market. It will mostly hurt the low cost vehicles, as they are generally bought by people who just need affordable transportation. There will still be lots of families who want a minivan and lots of contractors, etc who want a truck. Passion vehicles will still be popular with people who can afford them. I’m still going to want my own vehicle, but I’ll probably go down to a one car family

When the older teslas with no back seat screen become robotaxis, you should be able to adjust everything from seat position to temperature and music from your phone

Teleoperation will be especially useful in harsh or dangerous environments, such as the vacuum of space (or vacuum rooms in some manufacturing facilities here on Earth), the Moon, Mars, extremely hot or cold environments like Death Valley or the North Slope, etc. Even if the robots can't handle every task with AI, having operators in a nearby controlled environment could speed up work considerably in such places.
