Can't have a lot of blood (or any, look at "The Finals", characters just turn into coins when killed) in those since they are trying to appeal to the most massive casual viewing audience possible. @@vruss3371 Yep. Reach and ODST were excellent. There is a time and a place for the comedic relief, and it can be executed well even in a grim setting. I think ODST did a good job of that. Halo 1-3 portrayed the more over the top heroism well, while staying somewhat grounded, but even then it was losing it's grit until Reach. Halo Infinite on the other hand is incredibly cringey...
I still don't get why we don't have at least one halo single player campaign where we play as the elites. Fighting the humans, ODSTs, Spartans etc.would be sick.
We all know at launch this would only have Campaign and Multiplayer, Forge comes in one year, options in two and if you're lucky, you'll see the service record within 5 years of launch
Yes for real, especially reach. They are the only two halo games I play to be honest. It would be cool if they had went further with the tone and atmosphere of reach, and gave more chances to play odst or marines like halo 3 odst. God bless you mate.
@@vruss3371 The fact that the cutscenes are framed like found war footage really struck something to me. If Reach was treated like Halos 1-3 I think you lose the desperation and darker tone that Reach sets. I love the artsyle as well compared to the brighter colors of the previous entries, especially how spartan armor is dirtier and much more combat stained.

There is hardly any goofy or corny lines, just serious. The UNSC armor also seems to resemble a more gritty and realistic look. It looks closer to what modern day soldier actually wear.
Would love a game where you play as a Marine or an UNSC Army trooper.
